  4. Kyoko sighed. "First, I can't tell you what Shell's goal is. So that's off the table." "However, I can tell you how to catch this elusive ghost. Is that what you want to know?" When your group decided not to object, she put down her muffin. She covered up another yawn with her hand. "The impersonator works by remaining unknown. KID just happened to be a really convenient target to masquerade as, but really, the power comes from the Noh mask he (or she, let's not discriminate here) wears. I think it wouldn't matter a bit if the impersonator was wearing a black robe or dressed as a clown. The power is in the mask." "See, that mask is a great thing to hide your face behind. Can't tell who's behind that mask, so people start making things up. The result is that the impersonator has a lot of power that he or she didn't have before but does now. The impersonator draws power off fear – fear of the unknown." "If this phantom grows strong by remaining unidentifiable, then all you have to do is make the phantom identifiable. Reveal the phantom's face. Then his (or her, discrimination isn't cool at all) powers should wane. Should, at least." She stood up, picking up the muffin and walked out, leaving your group to wonder what to do next.
  5. Kyoko yawned. "I like that you're collaborating a bit more. Sorry to disappoint, but I don't know where the impersonator is. So you'll be better off trying another question."
  6. (Since the group seems to have split into two...) For Nara-chan: For everyone else:

  13. I think I like you. You're a sharp debater. So far, we haven't been on opposite sides of any debate, but if we are, I look forward to debating you.

  14. A: 7.5/10. I like Nanami, but the quality is low. S: 5/10. Clustered spoilers, but the pictures I like.

  16. (I've heard that many people are starting to run into school stuff. Depending on how many people are occupied, I may have to cancel this round early. Also, Tsukiko has been kicked for inactivity.)
  17. Conan/Shinichi: 10 Kaitou Kid: 11 Shuichi Akai: 13 Heiji Hattori: 10 Ran Mouri 9 (-1) Kogoro Mouri 7 (+1)
  18. Great "chemistry", heh. Sorry, that was a bit too much to resist.
  19. Doesn't discussion entail having opposing views? Otherwise, it's not a discussion, it's a consensus. It's not like I'm not discussing DC. I just happen to have opposing views, which, in my opinion, actually promote discussion. I think it's pretentious to decide that DCW is a community only for DC fans. That type of thinking only breeds elitism and exclusiveness and one-track mindedness. I seriously hope that's not what you are suggesting, because I think DCW is a more inclusive place than that. Speaking of inclusiveness, the community at DCW is much more tight-knit than many other communities I frequent. This is why I stayed for a full 2+ years and am currently one of the oldest active members on the board. I love this community too much to leave. Mind you, I wasn't surprised, and frankly, I understand people's confusion over my stance. What I was feeling was frustration. What does not liking DC have to do with anything? I don't think it really has anything to do with being a senior member (and donator, as you pointed out) of the community. I never said they did anything wrong. I just think that Viz hasn't been doing enough with DC to warrant them being protective of their copyright. It's not that they did something wrong more that they haven't been doing much. And yes, Funimation screwed up.
  20. Then ship Ran with Gin, problem solved~ In seriousness, Ran has basically been set up to be Shinichi's love interest. She has no interest in anyone else, and as far as we are aware, no one else has interest in her. Shipping possibilities are a bit scarce with her, just because of how considerably isolated she is in this regard. Logically, Shinichi. But for the shock factor, Gin.
