  1. Your suggestion is one of the many things we are planning to do. Of course, any help finding good quality pictures is appreciated, as that is a reason why only movie 14's promo pictures have been added.
  2. Hello, just wanted to thank you for your contributions on the wiki!

  3. I agree with Southpaw, the link you're suggesting would be impossible to add to the chat, unless the chat was in IRC. However, I think a link to the thread on the watch page itself would be a great idea, as well as bigger font, so people can have no excuse for not bothering to read it.
  4. I don't understand what you mean by this. Do you mean pictures like what are on Movie 14's page? http://www.detectiveconanworld.com/wiki/The_Lost_Ship_in_the_Sky#Images
  5. Another reason, and I still cannot fathom this, is that FUNimation was afraid of people confusing "Detective Conan" with Conan the Barbarian. Because, that makes sense or something. What idiot is really going to think, "Oh boy, that comic book character is now a DETECTIVE. Imma go stay up late to watch this, Jethro~!"?
  6. In English, the manga is released every four months. It was originally every two months. Hence, why there's an abnormal gap between Japanese and English manga. The English manga used to sell pretty well, but it seems that recently with its new release date being every four months, that might no longer be true.
  7. Her last name is Yoshida. You can see this on the wiki, which is linked in the tabs above the page.

  8. http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2010-03-01/animax-japan-channel-lists-magic-kaito-program-in-april So, what does everyone think will air?
  9. I prefer the Japanese version, for the EXACT same reasons as you listed above. Also, I think FUNimation takes too many liberties with the dub of the show.
  10. http://www.detectiveconanworld.com/wiki/Gosho_Aoyama We admit that there isn't a lot... but there really isn't much information around about him. In the near future, we will focus more time on finding more information about him.
  11. Let's all wish DetectiveConanfan a Happy Birthday!
  12. I don't think putting up a disclaimer would really do anything, nor would uploading them. It would take a lot of space to upload videos as well, and there's no guarantee that FUNimation won't be onto the website.
  13. *copied and pasted from another forum with a similar topic* When [adult swim] first began its life on Cartoon Network, it was AWESOME. You'd get great comedy shows (This was even before Family Guy,) like Mission Hill (I wasn't the only one who liked that show, right?) and anime. Before [as], I was barely exposed to anime, other than the usual suspects. I wouldn't call myself huge anime fan. However, [as] is what got me interested in anime, with shows like Cowboy Bebop, Gundam shows, and things of that calibre. However, after about a year, [as] got REALLY stale and boring, and I stopped watching. One day on a whim, I felt like staying up late to catch an episode of Cowboy Bebop, and had caught the tail end of something, I think Inuyasha? Anyway, right after that show I saw this really cool bumper, with silhouettes of various Conan characters, while some jazzy crime music played, and then there goes the intro of "Case Closed". My first episode was episode 18, "The June Bride Murder Case," which I would at that point come to know as "Wedding Day Blues." At first I was like "Huh?" at the fact that Conan had the mind of a teenager, but I understood the premise right away for some reason. During the episode, I kept saying "Hey, this show isn't that bad..." and at the end of the episode I really enjoyed what I saw. After that, I began taping various episodes so that I could watch them at a better time (I STILL remember when I saw the preview for the second part of the Diplomat Murder Case, and going batshit when I saw Kudo go "No... Harley... is wrong,") and got bummed out when the VCR wouldn't work when it was supposed to record the second part of the Moonlight Sonata case (By now the show was cycling through older episodes.) I stopped watching, but never forgot about the interesting show. A few months later, Funimation released DVD's with three episodes on them, one had the first three episodes, and the other had three episodes never before aired on Cartoon Network. One of those episodes was the Mist Goblin Case, which is the case that got me completely hooked onto the show. I bought all of the DVD releases, and the last episode Funimation released at the time was the Wandering Artist Case. For pretty much 3-4 years, that was what I got up to in the show. I would often see that SO many episodes of the show were airing in Japan, and wondered what the hold-up was. And then finally, seasons four and five came out, and I watched those happily. I started watching subbed stuff at first because on the season five set, Funimation completely cut the ending scene to episode 118 for some reason (Kazuha's first appearance.) Then I realized that the reality was that Funimation was no longer going to sub the show, so I began watching the subbed episodes. My first fansubbed episode? "The Mysterious Sniper Murder Case." WOW. That was eight months ago. And I spent the entire summer watching every episode, movie, and OVA subbed, and now I'm hooked, and there won't be changing.
  14. OVA 2 always cracked me up. The whole premise is incredibly goofy, but I love the end with everyone singing "Winter Bells." xD I also like OVA 3 and 8. I liked the 9th one, but I like my OVA's to be light-hearted, personally. The 9th OVA was a beauty, though.
  15. That itself would also be a cool idea. I have a laptop, so I can't leave my PC on constantly to be in one, and I don't have as much experience in IRC as I'd like to admit, but I wouldn't mind an idea such as this one, and I would definitely show up. That or a chatbox I would be all for. Especially next to the forum, or even on the main homepage.
  16. A chat box or a chatroom of some sort would be an interesting idea, I think.
  17. Welcome to Detective Conan World! ^^ Glad that you have joined!
  18. "Thanks, Sir." I am so annoyed that I only checked the forum just now! But Happy Birthday Maurice!!
  19. Thank you for your work on the Wiki!

  20. This is a great one, no doubt about it. Though, of course, what I remember the most is Ran's confession!
  21. My opinion has changed VERY much since the last time I posted in this topic. Having seen all 13 movies, I know what my top three would be: 4th: This one is probably, in my opinion, in my top three favorite Conan movies. One of my favorite scenes in DC movies, and one of my all time favorite scenes in ANY movie, is when Ran is holding Sato's wounded body, and then she looks at her hands, which are completely covered in blood, and just LOSES it. You can see it in her face, she has just lost touch with reality and mentally breaks and snaps. You couldn't write a better scene for an animated film than that. 7th: This is my favorite one, and I admit it's mostly for superficial reasons, like it being a big Heiji and Kazuha film, and I love the twist in the end that I was actually NOT expecting at all, and usually I can see obvious big time twists from a mile away. But all in all I loved this film. 9th: This is probably my second favorite, and if you're a Kogoro fan, you'll REALLY love this movie. I actually am very happy that Kogoro was able to get his moment in the sun, because no matter how clueless he can sometimes be, he still is a smart detective, and even he deserves a chance to shine. I also loved the scene where the killer kept egging him on, and he just kept saying "I never hit a woman." It was just SO cool and badass, though the whole end was so silly. And these ones are ones I don't like: 10th: This is definitely the second worst one, and I think even the writers realized this, so they tried to compensate by packing a large cast. Even with the big cast, it's still a flat film with a flat plot, and a really confusing at points murder case. 11th: Worst of them all, no doubt about it. The first hour or so was a little OK, when they were trying to figure out the murder, and the Detective Boys were solving the puzzle. After that, the movie becomes nearly unwatchable, especially when the hunters kidnap Ran and Sonoko. I mean, COME ON. Ran wouldn't even try to beat the crap out of those two? Really? THOSE chumps? She could've just knocked them out, thrown them overboard, and then drove the boat back herself. But instead, she becomes a complete wuss, Sonoko is an idiot again, and the treasure is really the stupid boat. STUPID, STUPID, STUPID. They were just trying to forcefeed the whole stupid thing where Ran and Sonoko are the only ones able to get to the treasure, and it was just such a stupid bore. These games were so lame, yet they were treated like they were unstoppable! Not only that, this was probably the slowest of all of the movies. I am never watching this piece of crap again.
  22. As far as I know, you can have Japanese audio with english subtitles, which is NICE. Looks like we may not be seeinga an English release, which is very unfortunate. I'll have to import it... :-/. Either way I've been wanting to import a couple of games anyway, so I might as well pick this one up.
