  1. Well, of course. But no one ever said he was any good at writing romance or drama. And alas, if he removed the non-mystery elements the series would be a whole lot shorter, and the checks would stop coming in...
  2. Lauren wins all the coolness points in the world for confirming that her name was Derpy. I love Derpy. So adorable. <3
  3. Should probably finish reading this comic book I was in the middle of reading before I start watching anything though...

  4. Let's not forget, folks, Gosho isn't here for the main story, nor is he writing the series for the main story. The man would be perfectly content with just writing murder mysteries for the next hundred years. If there was a way for him to end the BO storyline ASAP and just do murder mysteries from now on, he would do it, believe me.
  5. TBH, AFAIK he checks this site more than he does FB. You were probably better off PM'ing him here. He'll get to it eventually if you PM him here.

  6. Yeah, I know. The writers of the show surely know how to appeal to its general fanbase. Also, everyone, look at this. It's BEAUTIFUL: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uxFnpBh22Sg
  7. No need to ask for permission or anything, ask away~

  8. I haven't even WATCHED 25-30 anime series. Then again I've never considered myself a fan of anime to begin with, just a fan of random anime series to the point where I put the anime shows I like in the category of "general television" along with everything else (IE. Community, Parks and Recreation, etc.) And no, I doubt I'll really go out of my way to watch any random anime on a whim. I have far, far too many hobbies and interests to focus on just one thing.
  9. Why? If I were to lock it it would just keep coming up again in new topics. If it all stays in one topic then that's fine with me.
  10. Having had this happen FAR too many times to me in the past (Good riddance, Cablevision), I've got my fair share of experience. I assume by "no TV" you mean no cable. If so, I have a tremendous backlog of DVD's (movies, television, and wrestling) that I still have yet to watch. I also have a tremendous backlog of comic books AND regular books that I still haven't read, as well as the last few issues of Psychology Today and PC World. On my cell it's easy to check Facebook, Twitter, and my e-mail in case I need to know what's going on with things. However, there's no way I wouldn't stop into a library at some point and spend some time using the internet over there.
  11. Only gonna leave a few certain programs on as I burn this disc... I hope Sothink is any good...

  12. Wonderful. That last one dedicated to Chekhov was hilarious. xD
  13. The hell are you doing up so early? Go to bed. :P

  14. Oh someecards, how you will never cease to make me laugh: http://t.co/LBvXfgJq

  15. I'm pairing everyonexeveryone. Good. Now we don't need a 237 page thread about fictional pairings that is nothing more than another excuse to spam. Thread locked.
  16. The person in charge of donations is Maurice, as he receives all of them. I would highly recommend you speak with him.

  18. But I'm not. Wait, I'd tell him he sucks first. THEN I'd shoot him.
  19. Friend of mine just got laid off at the newspaper she's worked at for over 18 years... this is why I'm glad I didn't continue journalism.

  20. Addressing the rumor that movies 16 and 17 in Detective Conan are being "connected" and will be the last films: http://t.co/eurY4JQP

  21. Recently it has come to my attention that now the rumor is starting to spread on Facebook. I decided to make a sticky topic in the News and updates section so that everyone can see this and we can nip this rumor in the bud ASAP. The rumor someone is passing around that Movie's 16 and 17 are going to be connected, as well as the final two movies in the franchise, is blatantly false. Nothing has been revealed about the upcoming Detective Conan movies, and we will hear nothing for a little while. The rumors came from Chinese discussion boards that are known for trolling the Conan fan community with false rumors for the sole purpose of riling fans up. Until we learn anything new, I would prefer that folks stop passing these obviously false rumors. When something new is announced, trust me, you WILL know. But until then, everything coming out right now is nothing more than a mere rumor that flat-out isn't true. Come on, guys. Ya'll should know better.
  22. Tempted to make a sticky topic debunking this. It's now spreading onto the Detective Conan Facebook pages and we need to nip it in the bud ASAP... EDIT: I have done such. Check here: http://www.detectiveconanworld.com/forum/topic/2737-the-rumor-about-movies-16-17-being-connected/
  23. I swear, whenever I actually need to show someone a clip is when YouTube decides to be slow as molasses. :-/

  24. Brooks is the best character in that movie. His whole story about a man who has basically spent his entire life at Shawshank to the point where he felt like an outsider once he left to join the outside world was absolutely touching. "Brooks was here." "Network" is probably my favorite film of all time. Amazing acting (Peter Finch is freakin' amazing) and lots of amazing messages that act as foreshadowing to how the world of television is these days. You owe it to yourself to see this film. YouTube is great if you just want to see all of Finch's scenes. This movie is worth it alone for the LEGENDARY scene between Finch and Ned Beatty's character about how the world and battling nations are all merely a business. Was looking for my favorite scene in the entire movie... and thankfully I found it. <3 "We deal in illusions, none of this is true." If you're a big fan of how television production works, you'll find this film fun just for that alone. For everyone else, it's a wonderful thinking man's movie, with some incredible acting. You really need to watch this film.
