Your parents' reactions when they see you reading mangas

I don't get the option of Latin till the summer of my junior year. (dang it....) I have nothing against learning more unique languages, I just think you have to put practicality first. My list: 1. English 2. Spanish 3. Chinese 4. Japanese. Maybe. I don't feel the need to be 'unique' in the sense that I'm doing something totally different. I want to be 'unique' in the way that I can perform better than anyone else in the class, and be on a level of my own. (the level I share with my friends. We're all in top 5 of the grade I think.) The academic mindset (and my mom's prejudice against Japanese stuff- from when the Japanese massacred the Chinese 50+ years ago) are what makes her mad when she sees me reading manga. *sigh* I see her point, but... I get the right to chill out. -
Yay! Two people wrote something! Because Moho should write before I repeat (because I wanna see his plans), I'm gonna wait for him. :3

I don't have Pre-calf till next year... I'll probably find it useful. :3 Mathematics competitions at the high school level have Pre-calc in 'em. Is it hard? Best subjects: All (math is greatest, ATP English/Social Studies next, Spanish, HS101, Int. Tech... I don't have science till next semester.) Hated Subject: I've never hated a subject. (except for music when we spend all class learning one stinking note. Sheesh, the teacher treats us like we're four!)

I dunno how to draw Euphie yet... XD Should I post the Suzaku drawing? (it's a random doodle I did during my Spanish quiz. )
-
I agree with the 'since when did he show interest in Shiho?' I mean... He still calls her Haibara. He only calls his guy friends by their last names. (Hattori!) Ayumi has definitely shown affection. She kissed Conan on the cheek. Random Fact of the Day: The first M rated fic I ever read was an AyuCon. .... ... Yeah. Random.

Funny.. I just drew Suzaku in a Teitan High uniform... Does that count as a crossover? XD

Spanish actually is a lot more useful than Japanese. Technically speaking, English is the only 'useful' language though, because if you're going to go out and do business internationally, you're expected to know English. Knowing another language helps, but... Only in the countries where it's spoken. Spanish is spoken in the US, Spain, Central America, and South America. In contrast, Japanese is only spoken in Japan. (and they all learn English) I completely understand why my parents dislike watching me read/watch manga/anime, it's just annoying at times. I know I should be studying, but... It's just too addicting for its own good. *sigh* Good thing anime isn't really my thing... I'd never get anything done. -
My biggest fangirling is for Hakuba Saguru. I swear, I'll scream with joy the next time he appears in DC. :3 I fangirl the least over Kaito. Don't know why. If Conan grows up with Ayumi, I think the pairing will be okay. (I support MitsuAi, I don't care that much about age.) As long as Ayumi matures a little and becomes less annoying.... I don't think I'll mind.

My mom: Stop reading that Japanese picture book and go do something worthwhile for once. For anime: Stop watching that. What's the point? Go study. -
Well, DC's defied the laws of logic and the universe enough times, I guess. XD It might work. (though it's very unlikely) I personally prefer Shinichi. (because he's an arrogant jerk. ) He's so dramatic.... And gives me reasons to be a total fangirl every time he makes an appearance. :3
-
I'm interested to see how you suggest he do that. XD Very interested. :3
-
I know what you mean... But to me, I prefer Shinichi to Conan. Shinichi can be their friend. It would be funny!
-
... ... ... They didn't actually give a year for DC... Did they? But CG takes place in an alternate history..
-
I read a fic where Shinichi is still friends with them and plays with them if he has time. (total soccer domination! XD) I meant he'll still be their friend, but he probably won't get much time to hang out with them. (though I'm sure they'll have plenty of time... :3)

The Kallen fan service went a little too far. Her chest? Nuff said.
-
After thinking about it more, I came to the conclusion that Lelouch is not bad enough a person to take a Code and leave everyone he cares about in the dark. :V If he is alive... Well... He's lost my respect. 'nuff said.
-
What? I really am fine as long as they aren't killed. (or lose a limb. Temporary blinding or memory loss is fine, but they must be able to recover. :V)
-
Of course. What's the point of fangirling without a bit of sadism?
-
Yes. So no killing Nero, Chaos, Kei, or Ari. Hurting them is fine, holding them hostage is fine, (so I don't mind what Moho's doing now), but no killing. And... That's it.
-
*grins* What can I say? I can't just let Moho kill them off. :3 XD

Faithful giant... What? I'm no good at puzzles like that!!! D: At least you didn't kill someone... Poor Nero, he's going to wake up and have no idea where he is. Poor Ari too. Now she's going to be in a panic three times... ************** "Wait, Kei!" called Ari as she jumped the boy from behind, grabbing his shoulders savagely. "What are you thinking, trying to leave without me?" "This is dangerous, and you're starting to lose control of yourself. Nice and easy there." Kei looked down at her, quietly holding her still as she started to slacken. "Good. Now you can come." "I was coming no matter what. I'm the diplomat here. And the thief. What if you need to break into something? You need me." She hugged him tight as he started the motorcycle, driving towards 'where the faithful giant erupts.' "And I can't just let you go unprotected. It's dangerous, Kei." "11:30..." he muttered, looking at his watch. "We should be able to make it. Please let Rex have kept his word." "He wouldn't have hurt Nero, would he? Not my sweet little boy," whispered Ari, starting to cry. "If he harmed a single hair of Nero's head, I'll kill him." "Rest assured, I'll help you." ****************** How many times could one wake up in the span of twelve hours and all the while feeling like they were hit by a train? Nero opened his eyes, and then blinked in surprise. This wasn't the Organization hospital. Where was he? "Nero! You're awake!" said Chaos, lying bound, but not gagged, next to him. "What's going on?" "You tell me. I've been dropped out of a helicopter, poisoned, had my blood drained, and who knows what else. This is not going to plan." "So that's why you look like you've been hit by a train." "It sure feels like it." ***** I'm too tired to write. Good night!

*********** It was always to have one or more decoys running around. Kei watched from a safe distance as the helicopter crashed, smirking. Oh that Rex. Their clashes were always tests of who was able to finally outfox the other- it usually got to the point where neither knew what they were supposed to do anymore. With the bug on his fallen double, he could make out the words of Rex, about Nero's poisoning. He frowned, recording it and sending it off to the base. At worst, Nero would just need to get his blood replaced. Nothing he hadn't gone through before. Fatal poison? As an ardent coffee drinker, Nero had had the beverages poisoned at least a dozen times, one of which actually made him clinically dead, but he'd been revived. The doctors could handle it. He knew Nero's friend's were already being transported back to the base- in a government vehicle too. A bit of cash, some threats, and even the most stubborn politicians caved right in. If this rebellion was going to attack, they risked killing countless civilians and making themselves national enemies. He was sure they didn't want their existence broadcast to the world. Kei looked back, catching a glimpse of the dead, glassy glare of his decoy, unflinching as he observed the corpse. He narrowed his green eyes, throwing something into the air, putting on goggles as he hopped onto his bike. Stealth wings? Well... He'd have to have an upgraded version made. One that made less sound and preferable made him invisible. It's destruction gave him the long awaited chance to present his personal blueprinted stealth wings to the engineer. Behind him, the bomb blasted a crater into the earth, sandstorm-like conditions blasting around Kei's face. He was entirely unaffected by the dust and debris battering his hair, bike, and skin. The sound of the helicopter exploding once more filled the air. Hopefully he'd managed to scrape Rex at the very least. Though that sneaky fox had probably already gotten away. "Oh, Nero..." he sighed, brushing a tan shock of hair out of his emerald eyes. "Why is it that whatever you do you always manage to bring this kind of trouble with you?" ********** "I'm back!" called Kei, walking into Nero's room. "Your friends are over in the next few rooms. They should wake up in an hour or so." "Nero needs his rest!" hissed Ari, cradling Nero's head gently against her. "He just had like- half of his blood drained because of that poison. Don't touch the IVs! Do you want to kill him?" "Of course not. I'm his right hand man." Kei carefully sat down, brushing Nero's hair back behind his ear. "And he's my little brother too." Ari rolled her eyes, smiling. "It's good to have him back." She rubbed Nero's hair, ruffling the stray locks. "We missed you, Nero. Both of us." Even though he couldn't hear, Nero's lips formed the trace of a smile. ******** Stop trying to kill them!!!!! D: They're awesome and totally need to live!!! Every time you kill them, I will figure out a way to save them, so stop trying!!! and that's all I wanted to say, see ya.

... ... ... I'm saving Kei once I get the time. I have an essay to type.
