Who's better off with Shinichi? Haibara Ai or Ran??

Absolutely NOT Ayumi. Ran > Haibara -
Old Kogoro > New Kogoro

Ummm, since when has her hair been black? There's nothing wrong with it now.

Well, the only language I speak is English so I guess I prefer that. I dont mind watching them in Japanese though as long as there are subtitles. Definitely way more pure, even though I'm still not able to fully understand the jokes and the names get confusing.

Surprisingly good for an OVA...usually don't like them but this one was decent for sure.

Like I said I don't hate it, it just didn't deliver. The beginning (first half) was extremely good. Up to the point where Conan and Kid jumped back on the blimp was exciting, but after that it just seemed to drag on. How he disposes of the terrorist group is pretty lame (Jirokichi's contraptions) and I felt like turning it off when, not only was the guy who was first to be "infected" (forgot his name) the leader of the terrorist group, stated that he had two other followers (the camera guy and the reporter). For him to secretly be the leader of the terrorists, and on top of that to be partners with the two other reporters seems ridiculous and highly unlikely, almost unnecessary. The scheme to steal the Buddhist statues was well-played and the soccer ball inflation at the end wasn't too shabby either. It just seems like they could have done a lot better job of following through. For example, I wouldn't have minded it so much if there really was an infection, or the two other reporters/whatever were just randoms.

Why aren't you working for FUNimation? These are unreal.

Movie 9 is probably the most legit thing I've seen in my life. Movie 13 is also extremely good, partly just because it has the B.O. in it.

Obviously, all the Detective Conan movies are great, but if you had to choose which one is your least favorite, which one would it be? For me, movies 11 and 14 just didn't do it. They're both still and good and worth watching, but I don't get the same feeling I do when watch the other ones.

"The Moonlight Sonata Murder Case" "The Desperate Revival" arc "A Cursed Mask Coldly Laughs" "The 3 "K's" of Osaka Case" "Shinichi Kudo's New York Case" "Phantom Thief Kid's Miracle Midair Walk" "Heiji Hattori vs. Shinichi Kudo! The Grand Deduction Battle" "Phantom Thief Kid's Teleportation Magic" "Murderer, Shinichi Kudo" "Shinichi's True Face and Ran's Tears" And, of course, all major B.O. arcs!

"Even if you are facing a bitter aspect of life, drugs and murder are foul without ant excuse. Deserve a red card, for loser." "As long as man is bound by his own humanity, he can never commit a perfect crime . Never." (Sorry for the double-post.)

The first one was originally said by the pro soccer player Franz Beckenbauer

You know you're addicted to Detective Conan when
MeitanteiConan4869 replied to Maurice's topic in General
When you pretend you're sick so you don't have to go to school and can stay home and watch hours of Detective Conan (me right now). When you watch episodes off you're phone. When reply to this topic. -
Correct me if I'm wrong but I remember Conan saying his favorite was "The Sign of Four" and his second favorite was "The Red-Headed League." This was in the Holmes Freak Murder Case where they were all discussing their favorite stories in the bus ride to the house. Personally, I've read about three-fourths of all the Sherlock Holmes stories and I have to say my favorite would probably be "The Valley of Fear" followed by "The Adventure of the Dancing Men" followed by "The Adventure of the Speckled Band."

Hey everyone! Obviously, I'm new here and I would like to start off by saying thank you for being a part of such a wonderful site. I'm 16 years old and I live in the U.S. So I'm at quite a disadvantage when it comes to the number of "Case Closed" DVDs I own. I already e-mailed FUNimation in which they proceeded to inform me that they "have no plans to introduce any more episodes/movies in English." So sorry if you're from the U.S. I've been a fan of Detective Conan nearly my whole life when Adult Swim used to air Case Closed. Of course, that was around three in the morning so I'd wake myself up just to watch it. However, I've been watching episodes and movies on the computer and there are very few episodes in which I haven't seen. I'm pretty much up to speed with the Black Organization and the main story. It's just sometimes hard to recognize the Japanese version of everyone's names so forgive me if I seem confused. Detective Conan is my all-time favorite show and I continue to wait in anticipation for each week's episodes. I'm not a big manga reader but I've started recently and I'm just passed the Steam Murder. Not only has Detective Conan made me want to learn to speak Japanese and visit Japan when I'm older, but I hope to become a world-class detective just like Conan. Thanks again and nice to meet everyone!
