Ace Attorney is a mystery-genre visual novel game series where you play as a criminal defense lawyer. Your goal is to find the truth behind a mysterious crime and prove your client is not guilty. You investigate crime scenes, cross-examine witnesses, and present evidence in order to find contradictions in testimony and the prosecution's arguments. It's heavily logic based. The series is known for its colorful and funny characters and strong storylines.

Nope, nothing apart from the air date has been revealed. It's very early in development since we still have over two full anime seasons before it's set to beginning, so there's no rush.

  3. eyyy, more Escala! "Palladio" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7GStKGNxU9U
  4. Let it go? Never! (but seriously, this doesn't actually trigger my OCD that bad, so I'll let it slide)
  5. Oh dear, here we go. Was about to go to sleep when I saw this and couldn't wait until later to respond. First of all, "anime" in Japanese refers to all forms of animation regardless of style, genre, or nationality. That's because it's a shorthand version of the borrowed English word "animation". By this definition The Simpsons and Family Guy as well as The Lion King are all anime. In the west, America specifically, we have "anime" defined as "animation from Japan". This is why there's an entire Wikipedia page on anime-influenced animation, since animated series and movies made in the west can still appear to look like anime. ATLA/LoK as well as RWBY are therefor categorized as western animation, and not anime, on this side of the globe. Because this site was created by our beloved Canadian Maurice and utilizes American English as its language, organization of the forums and posts should revolve around American categorization. Otherwise we'd have Teen Titans and Totally Spies threads in the "Anime" section. And IMDb is not good at cataloging anime, therefore making it a weak source. Not to mention, anyone can just add random information so credibility is low for the less monitored pages. The two largest databases of anime in the west are MyAnimeList and Anime News Network. Because they specialize only in anime, they're far more thorough, all-encompassing, and detailed, and both have come to the conclusion that ATLA and LoK are not anime.
  6. Uhhh, but if you lose literally everything then you will lose both your fake and real friends simultaneously and will therefore be unable to differentiate between the two.
  7. tfw a thread about Avatar/LoK is being brought back from the dead despite being in the wrong subforum because it's not an anime
  8. "Sarabande" -- Escala https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oDq_ohinnn0
  9. B-But that's not a quote...
  10. "Nameless Heart" -- Aoi Yuuki https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QHIWtJ1DHUA I need the full version of this so bad, oh my goodness.

Well, they briefly showed a bit of the actual gameplay at the very end of the trailer, so technically yes it will be like what they showed in the video. Kappa

    2. Kid the Phantom Thief

      Kid the Phantom Thief

      lol, ok.

Would be cool if it was actually like they showed in the majority of the video, and they made special glasses for the game like Microsoft's HoloLens. :P Then we could see the pokémon as if they were actually there

Cool as that may be, the market for glasses of that kind is far too niche to justify the extra research and developmental costs, deeming the entire scenario unrealistic. On the other hand, nearly everyone has access to a smart phone.

  11. Just one more Deemo OST, I promise, then I'm out. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8On2lQenMIQ I love this song, thank god it's not too intensely difficult like Magnolia. (In truth there are so many more I want to post, but I'll control myself...)
  12. Oh my gosh, just because the songs usually don't have much to do with the plot doesn't mean you should go out and listen to them all! (Kenzi, pls, stahp, wut r u doing) I haven't actually unlocked that song yet (very close though, almost there) but uh-oh, another intense song. There are a few of those out there and they're absolutely brutal. They're already level 7+ at medium setting, and that's at the range where it takes quite a bit of practice and luck to get a decent score. Lord have mercy... Here's one of those intense songs, that I just barely managed to get around 84% on medium (level 8): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7vWNDOgjvRk
  13. "Magnolia" -- M2U https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gz83g-82Q9c Deemo even has surprise dubstep. Ever since I unlocked this song, I've been obsessed, oh my god...
  14. Dailymotion link, since YouTube copyright is a meanie. Not a very action-packed opening, but the parallels to the original were great. Gin and Vodka in the window of that building was like that generic criminal jumping out of the window in the original, both openings had Ran looking upset while talking to Conan through a phone, and most obviously Conan ran up the stairs of an abandoned stone building toward a lighted doorway before dramatically turning both times. Oh yes, and opening 3 and 41 both have Conan and Shinichi in Sherlock Holmes cosplay. Not a mind-blowing opening, but I'm satisfied. And upon further inspection, I'm guessing seeing Gin and Vodka up in that tower was sort of like the prologue to having Conan run through the abandoned building in the first place. Nice little touch there.
  15. Deemo's soundtrack even contains electro! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xgzNn8gHSgk
  16. ACE ATTORNEY 6 ANNOUNCED! CONFIRMED FOR WESTERN RELEASE! Translation of announcement provided by reddit user in spoilers: Link to Famitsu scans and translations, introducing a new character as well as gameplay/plot details! -- I really need to get around to playing Dual Destinies. (And also, RIP in peace DGS western release, you'll be fan-translated eventually anyway.)
  17. Ace Attorney 6 confirmed, let's gooooo!!

  18. "Utopiosphere" -- Mili https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eCm--tb5SKg
  19. I-I'm sorry...? <3 VK's not the only composer of Deemo's OST (though he's my personal favorite) There are all kinds of genres and styles of music. Take a listen to this interesting song by Mili: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Le5nXTvNYJc This song as been growing on me recently, especially after I looked up the lyrics. The song may sound bright and upbeat on the surface, but goddamn the lyrics are so dark...
  20. News crews probably help out in those situations. However, I do know for a fact that the film crew for the Planet Earth documentary didn't help out any "animals in need" no matter how heart breaking the situation. Anyone who's seen the show will remember the polar bear vs. walrus segment, and as frustrating as it is to watch, they [highlight for spoilers] were forced to let the polar bear die from starvation and its wounds after the fight since that was just nature taking its course.
