Technically, if I'm not mistaken, a video is considered HD when it's 720p or above, so it needs to at least have a 16:9 aspect ration. Just because a video is 16:9 doesn't necessarily make it HD, and just because a video is touted as 720p or 1080p on KissAnime doesn't mean it's not 4:3. A 4:3 video can still be 720p, if the black borders on the left and right side are considered part of the video. So I can't really give you a straight answer, because it really depends on what you're looking for. For future reference, a 4:3 480p video won't look much different from a 4:3 upscaled to 720p video, so I'd venture to guess you won't be satisfied with the quality of DC until it hits 16:9 at 400-500ish episodes.

Hyrule Field https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zO8Y7hdD6Qk I used to find this song annoying because it always took so long to trek though the field, but I'm starting to miss it... -

Nope, it's Jack Black. If I didn't grow up in 'Murica and watch Kung Fu Panda, I wouldn't know who he is either, so don't feel too bad about it.

Now that was an interesting movie my friend.

UNISON SQUARE GARDEN's "Sugar Song to Bitter Step" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3exsRhw3xt8&feature=share Oh my gosh, I really need the full version of this, even more than I need the full version of Aimer's "Brave Shine" or Kalafina's "ring your bell" Why is the music for this spring season of anime so good?? -
tfw we aren't watching many of the same anime Punchline is by far the most underrated show I have ever watched. It's ranked really low on MAL, and I don't think it's ever going to recover, which is a real shame. It may seen random and silly and it may not appear to have a coherent or follow-able plot, but there's so much more below the surface. It's not deep like "oh my gosh guise, look at all deez symbols and motifs" but it's just really really really intricate. The very first episode, distracting and light-hearted as it may have seemed, had already foreshadowed (and continues to foreshadow) a ton of future events. If you check out the episode discussion boards on its MAL page and on the anime subreddit, you'll find a lot of devoted people analyzing the series, and there are a ton of fan theories that hit the mark. If you're confused as to what's going on, check those places out; you'll at the very least have a new found appreciation for the amount of effort put into the series, hidden behind all the panty shots. If you're familiar with the highly-acclaimed Zero Escape games for the DS and 3DS, the director of those games (which are amazing by the way) is responsible for the Punchline script. 999 and Virtue's Last Reward are both known for being super intricate, and I'll admit my mind was having a really difficult wrapping itself around how amazing 999 was after all was said and done. Look into Punchline more, and you're find there's a lot that you're missing, trust me. Nisekoi is alright, though I think I prefer the first season to the second. Maybe it's because I've watched a lot of anime between then and now, but the humor isn't tickling me quite as it used to. Also there is a criminal lack of best girl Onodera (fite me). I remember this anime caught my eye way back when it was first announced to get an adaptation, mainly because the MC's design took me by surprise. It wasn't very hyped at all going into the season, but it's nice to see it's starting to get the attention it deserves. I felt the start was a bit slow and shaky, but it's getting better, for sure. It's sometimes over-the-top, but it's cute and it's something I look forward each week, so there's that. Oh gosh, please find time for it! As of now it's the best anime of the season (sorry UBW, gotta give credit to whoever deserves it the most) and it's rearing to be best anime of the year (at the very least, one of the best anime of the year). Heck, objectively it's one of the best anime I've ever watched. It's unique, fast-paced, funny, dynamic, stylish as hell, and has so far done everything right. I can't get enough of this anime, it really is amazing. Awesome characters, amazing music, great animation, the whole nine yards. Only thing that might bother people is that it's episodic, but seriously for a 12 episode anime it's not like you'll get bored of it (unless you're easily distracted or something, I dunno). It's underrated (not nearly as much as Punchline) but more and more people are starting to warm up to it, which is really cool to see.

I don't think it's very popular, but then again I also don't feel like it deserves to be any more well known than it already is. In my opinion, there are far better anime out there that deserve much more attention (whether they receive it or not is a separate issue all together) and currently DC gets as much love as it is worth. It's far from the best thing I've watched/read, but it's also far from the worst. Only reason I see it as better than average is because of nostalgia. As for the big three shounen, Naruto is over (kinda), no one really gives Bleach the light of day anymore, and the only thing worth any attention is One Piece. Their reign on the anime community is crumbling, that's for sure. A bit off topic, but anime is nothing like it used it be over a decade and a half ago. No one wants to watch a never ending series, so those have been virtually snuffed out of existence. The age of fansubs are coming to an end now that Crunchyroll and Funimation have monopolized the market. The times they are a-changin', for better or worse.

You're implying I don't have a life, now are you good sir?! (Joking, I don't think I have much of a life either) Honestly though, I've only been watching anime on overdrive because it's senior year of high school. I'll probably slow myself down when I start college, for the sake of internships and all that jazz. Psht, May and scientifically June are all spring months. Though, it was 90 degrees F in some parts of my school today, because we don't have AC, so it sure as hell felt like summer. Uhhh... anyway, soo... anime? Is anybody watching any spring anime?? (where did machine go?)

Eheheh, not particularly, though I'm honestly open to all kinds of music. I just found this song used in a Smash 4 video recently and thought it was catchy. Not to mention, it would make for a decent Fate AMV track, haha. "Movin' Out" -- Billy Joel https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8buJ2-oD02E (see, my taste in music is strange ain't it?) -

Eeeyyyy, a new DC chapter! Doesn't seem particularly exciting, but whatever it takes to kill a few minutes, you know? -
Big Hero 6 Pretty standard Disney movie. Rather predictable and good for the kiddies, but it's only so deep. However, very impressive visuals and facial expressions. It was a fun watch just for the experience, but it's miss-able if you're short on time and only want to hit up the really impressive stuff.

Poking this thread because I'm wondering if anyone else is watching Kekkai Sensen on here. Sooooo... is anybody? Because if you aren't get to it right now; it's amazballs!

I... uh, that song got old for me the second time I heard it. Not ragging on your taste in music, just saying. gomenasaiii Now this is a song that never gets old. Mainly because it makes for a great workout song since I jog perfectly in sync with the beat. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FUH9S44D1BM -

Holy fountain water, this is amazing!! You're a really talented singer and I really like the style of your songs! I'll be keeping a eye out for your future works! Also, welcome to DCW! Things are rather slow around here, but you'll find that it's also kind of cozy. Feel free to post around and get yourself acquainted the few who post regularly.- 27 replies

Gin not being the main focus kind of grinds my gears, but at least there isn't an anime original org member introduced yet.

I didn't watch the entirety of this, and since I'll be missing Lit class on Monday (because of APs) when we finish the movie I doubt I ever will, but the last movie I saw was Pride and Prejudice.
