Denpa Onna to Seishun Otoko I dropped this years ago back when I was still a young anime watcher and didn't realize the reason the series felt so convoluted was because Shaft was behind it. Now that I've seen my fair share of anime and come back to this series, I can say with certainty that while this anime wasn't all that great, it wasn't anything worth dropping either. The character designs were done by the person behind Haganai's designs and Shaft was, well, just doing their Shaft thing (not enough head titles 7.8/10). The animation was nice at some points but it was also obvious where the budget was stretched. Didn't notice much of the soundtrack, but it was far from poor. The more I type the more I realize I'm not quite sure why I didn't enjoy the anime as much as I should have. Maybe it was because the humor wasn't too good? The characters were hard to get invested into? There wasn't really much direction in the plot? Who knows, heh. (I wonder which dropped anime I'll be picking back up next?)

I doubt they will, and I hope they don't. If there's a second season, I won't watch it. I don't think A-1 Pictures would take MK1412 any more seriously the second time around.

No no, the entire series is two cour long since it airs over the course of two seasons (autumn and winter). It'll only be one 24 episode season.

Sorry man, just never got into them. I only like Pirates of the Caribbean because they're fun movies to watch, and they aren't exactly my most loved movies either.

Arcana Famiglia Gosh, thank God I only had 6 more episodes of this to finish after I had dropped it a long time ago. I don't watch shoujo, but even I know this is pretty terrible. Started back up Denpa Onna. Since I had already seen 4 episodes I should be done with it relatively soon.

What do you mean? MK1412 is two-cour which is two seasons. Not many anime are split cour and the ones that are usually announce it before the first season airs (F/Z and UBW) or the end of the first season isn't conclusive (Tokyo Ghoul and Aldnoah.Zero). A-1 Pictures does, however, have their hands full in spring with Uta no Prince-sama, Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha ViVid, and Gunslinger Stratos, though there was no need to pad the winter season with a show like MK1412 because they have the second half of Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso as well Saekano, two shows that have been in production since March of last year ever since noitaminA announced 2014-early 2015's anime lineup. No matter how you look at it, A-1 Pictures wasn't taking MK1412 seriously from the start. On the other hand, studios like Madhouse are able to announce and churn out top notch anime like Death Parade (which was announced at the end of October) while working on a show like Parasyte, both of which have received stellar reviews. For me, it's always quality over quantity so Madhouse gets my seal of approval while A-1 Pictures could just stop making anime and I probably wouldn't care all that much.

Money needed to be made on Gosho's part it seems, because I really doubt A-1 Pictures had much to gain from it since they had much more profitable anime in the work, like SAO. I'm not going to rag on Gosho or anything, but I really don't think it was a great idea giving A-1 rights to MK, since they aren't putting much effort into it. Even if it would have costed him more, he should have given it to a studio that would have respected the source material a little more.

I jumped in it blindly and just enjoyed the ride; happened to look it up later by chance, which is why I recognized what MK was talking about.

You can train multiple at a time if you want to, but I would find that to be rather difficult. It's a lot easier to train them one on one, since not every character works best with a single play style.

It's really difficult to explain in words and are easier experienced. In Smash 4, they are CPUs that fights in your style. It starts at level 1 and you train with it to get it to level 50. Because it mimics your style, if you never shield it never shields. If you only do smash attacks it only does smash attacks. If you're offensively oriented, it will be, too. If you never play with items on, it will not know how to pick up items. It eventually outsmarts you and starts beating you level 30+, and it's just all in all awesome and a ton of fun, especially when you have amiibos face off against each other to see who's been training his or hers better. Or you could simply collecting them as figurines, heh.
