No school is the only redeeming factor of summertime. Everything else about it is absolutely horrid. Well, except for maybe the fireworks. Not just Fourth of July fireworks, but fireworks in general seem to be popular around that time. Especially in Japan. Speaking of which, summer festivals in Japan seem really fun, with all those yukatas and food stalls. Damn, if I ever visit Japan in the summer, I might change my mind about the season. Might... Also, that last part of your post is making me think of one-night stands, drunk driving, and drugs. Three cheers for teens liking the summer... (massive chart in spoilers)

Oh man, I had lost hope in that anime a while ago. The most recent episode wasn't actually that bad, if your expectations were as low as mine, haha. Just finished SAO II, and I have to admit it's not as bad as the first season. It was still difficult to get through, but with the right mindset it turned out to be relatively enjoyable. Funny enough, the first half was solid, up until the very end, and the second half was weak, up until the very end. I honestly don't know if I'm going to watch the third season as it most likely will happen. SAO is not something I'd recommend to anyone, but if you were unfortunate enough to have already seen it or if you somehow actually liked the first season then there's not much harm in at least giving the second season a try. Now all that's left is Bahamut and UBW, though I don't think I'll be impressed by the last episode of the former. The anime derailed even faster than MAPPA's last animation, Zankyou no Terror. However I'm really anticipating UBW's last episode of the season. It's an hour more of gorgeous animation before a three month break! I don't think the winter season will have anything that could potentially satiate my hunger for a really stellar anime, apart from Death Billiards and maybe Yuri Kuma Arashi. But that's a discussion for another day.

Code Geass definitely has some really great moments. Not something I'd recommend to everyone, but if you're liking what you see so far then that's good!

I'll definitely get around to them, since they seem to be simple enough, after I'm done with college apps. I've never liked the way Super Mario Bros felt in my hands even though I really liked similar games like Donkey Kong Country, and if you say Super Meat Boy is better than Mario, I'll look forward to it. On another train of thought, I've pretty much mastered Mario Kart DS to the best of my abilities, though I don't think it was a very difficult installment in the MK series. I'm not playing it anymore, but now I'm really hyped to play Mario Kart 8 when I find time over the break. I also got my hands on Alpha Sapphire! Oh, it was a great feeling, though the only thing I did was start the game, save in the truck, download the Shiny Beldum, and transfer over the demo Glalie. It's now collecting dust, and I need to finish Y first. But Y has been collecting dust since I've begun to crack down on the last of my college essays, so I guess I actually haven't been playing video games recently. Ah, winter break will be just the godsend I need.
