  1. 10 am or 10 pm? Because why bother to sleep at 10 am? Might as well just make it an official all nighter and crack open that can of coffee powder.
  2. "I always believed you would come. Because I know you... No... You don't have to explain it to me... Because it is destiny that you and I can't live in the same world." -- Saria, from Ocarina of Time
  3. This club used to be rather active with an official member list and all, but when the original creator stopped coming to DCW this "club" fell a bit into disrepair. Now, anyone who wants to join can join. Feel free to post whatever you want here; all are welcome.
  4. Dear not so anonymous,Make it that plus Jurassic World and count me in, too! (Unless your anonymous is your girlfriend, in which case never mind...) From, the guy who wrote this post
  5. It's usually "a shoulder to cry on" isn't it? At least in love songs it is. Crying on someone completely is a weird thought...
  6. Did alright on that bio FRQ I guess, whatever "alright" is supposed to mean.
  7. I regret not getting enough sleep last night. Seriously... my eyes... right now... ... .. .

    Embarrassing Things

This was me today, except my nose was running so much and I was so miserable. Really is embarrassing stuff though.Getting yelled at by a teacher for doing something wrong, or even worse nothing wrong. It's humiliating and really gets my blood boiling.
  9. It sure was a blustery day, but no snow unfortunately. Not much rain either though, so it could have been worse.
  10. Clickbait, huh? The things people will do for a Klondike Bar.
  11. I wonder what the official English translation of the title will be? I remember they used to have it in the promotional posters, but they left it out of movie 18's and now movie 19's. A direct translation of the French title would be something like "The Torrent of Fire of Sunflowers" which is really cumbersome. I'd guess a better translation to English, going off of the Japanese title, would be "The Blaze of Sunflowers", "The Inferno of Sunflowers", "Sunflower Blaze", or "Sunflower Inferno". Ah well, I was really hoping for a silly pun on the word "frame", but whatever. Let's see, we have the theft of the Van Gogh painting, which seems to be the main focus of the story, with the murder of the painting's owner and a plane explosion as side cases or background info. Thought it would be more focused around a museum, otherwise I don't see how Kid would tie into things, but we'll see how things turn out. Also, from the posters: no Agasa = no quiz = 10/10 best movie no Haibara = 0/10 worst movie average: 5/10 it's almost a passing grade, I guess
  12. Voice actors can be rather big hints. Wasn't Bourbon's seiyuu chosen specifically to reference Amuro Ray from Gundam? The mysterious girl is portrayed by voice actress Atsuko Tanaka (who is actually voice acting Caster from Fate/stay night: UBW and Ryoko Tamiya from Parasyte, two anime that are currently airing and that I'm watching, which is awesome). Notably, she had a minor role as Juca Meilasch from Mobile Suit Victory Gundam, which may or may not be a clue as to the mysterious girl's identity. If anyone who knows more about Gundam wants to do more research be my guest. Also, given Sera's mom has a large bust as she claims, I wouldn't be surprised to see an older version of the mysterious girl with a sizable chest paired with a VA like that, honestly.
  13. None of the episode were tearing jerking. At least, none that I can remember. I think I posted this a while back, but honestly the live action television series had sadder cases than actual anime episodes. And even those cases were sad but nothing to cry over.
  14. As the Prof said, episode 9 has been fansubbed. It wasn't bad, I just wish I liked Kaito's mom a bit more. I'm not the biggest fan of her personality or her looks, so I don't think I appreciated this episode as much as I should have. Looks like next episode we're going to finish up the Phantom Lady arc and start a heist involving the DC crew. Interesting directional choice to split an arc like this, but I guess it's better than rushing the whole thing.
  15. It's just that stalagmites and stalactites stop growing when they're touched, because oil on people's hands prevent further mineral buildup, if my memory serves me right. I'm too lazy to fact check this right now, haha. And yes, we should get back on topic...

    Embarrassing Things

I'm not complaining or anything, since I don't think I was ever aware of this topic before. To keep this going: Falling up the down escalators is pretty embarrassing. This didn't happen to me, but a friend of mine.
  17. Oh no, I feel bad now, it seems that I've touched this topic and inadvertently killed the conversation. These threads are as sensitive as...

    Anime Couple??

Thinking about it, I don't really ship too many anime or manga couples. If anything, video game couples like Phoenix Wright x Maya Fey (Ace Attorney) and Link x Saria (Ocarina of Time) have made more of an impact on me than anything. The only anime couple I can think of without having to check my MAL account for reference is Yozora Mikazuki x Kodaka Hasegawa (Haganai).
  19. Hm, I'd have to disagree and say the second movie was better. Watched both in theaters when they came out, but Dawn really hit me in a way Rise couldn't. Of course, the buildup and development that existed in Rise made Dawn possible, so both movies are still really good.
  20. I've been halfheartedly following MK1412 myself, only because there are so many other anime I'm watching. The fansubbed releases are sporadic, but I don't really mind. Whenever I see a new episode is up on the streaming site I use, I just make sure I don't have any homework or other plans and get to it whenever I can. But I know how it is to be impatient for a new episode because there's this one anime I'm watching that gets me worked up if it's even a few minutes delayed. Video games are also another great way to pass the time between releases; I can recommend some good ones.

    Classmates

I'm off to college next year. Not at all for smoking, drinking, drugs, or anything of the sort. Some people I know have already tried those, believe it or not, but it's not like they're bad kids. Some of them are actually really smart. It's just the realities of life and though it sucks I guess you have to take the bad with the good. Even if I get into an Ivy League school (which I'm not because I don't have a chance honestly) I'm going to run into party-ers. I see myself as a moderate, politically at least, so today's youth is a bit too liberal for my tastes. If only life was as simple as the board game, right?
  22. *Shot through the heart!* (cue music) Nah, that's cool, I don't actually mind. And this thread has strayed off topic not that long after its revival. How did that happen? ^Scratch that question: by the time I come back to check for an answer, it will have been buried by a discussion on the merits of using slippers on hardwood flooring.
