A Little Too Not Over You - David Archuleta

Dear Anonymous, I'm afraid you said the wrong thing at the wrong time. But then again, it's not your fault. It's just fate playing with the strings of our lives like she always does. I don't know how this will end up. I honestly think, though, that you should have thought about it before you opened your mouth and said those words. - your friend

Azura stood frozen in the dark alley, unable to comprehend what just happened. Regaining her composure, Azura looked up and around, but Nevermore was nowhere in sight. Azura quickly slipped out of the alleyway and into the main road, taking out her phone and dialing Misaki's number. Her sweat was cold, and she felt like all the blood had gone from her face. This is not good, Azura thought, terrified as she knew what all these indicated. Finally, Misaki answered. "Misaki-san," Azura's voice shook as she spoke, trying to remain calm. "Sorry to interrupt, but something's happened. I'm heading to the police station now. Okay. Thanks." Azura dashed towards the station. Luckily, not a lot of civilians were outside that day because of what happened the day before, so Azura didn't need to worry about bumping random people along the way. After a few minutes of running, she reached the station. She brought out her phone and texted Misaki to notify her (and the others) of her arrival at the station. She was still a bit hesitant about entering the station, but she knew it was too late to back out when an officer approached her to escort her in.

There was no way Azura would get anywhere near the police station. She didn't want to get questioned and have her files on their record. It had trouble written all over it. Besides, her face was too recognizable. She knew that at the moment she would step inside the station, her parents would immediately be informed of what she'd been up to and all the strange mess she got into. Azura allowed herself to walk behind the rest of the group as they headed to the police station. She planned to put a long distance between her and the others so she'd be able to run off easily and meet them again after the questioning. Making sure the others were far ahead of her, she slipped into a dark alleyway and allowed herself to heave a sigh of relief. She realized how much breath she'd been holding and how nervous she was as she leaned against the wall. She brought out her phone and texted Misaki that she wouldn't be able to go to the station and for them not to worry about her, hoping that her efforts were enough to keep Azura away from the police station.

The other night I had this really strange dream. It was kinda creepy. I wasn't in it; it was as if I was watching a movie or something. Anyway, it was set in this little village from the Victorian era I guess, and all the men over 18 were gone for some war (though I do remember hearing Hunger Games). There was this girl who just arrived in the village. She got off the horse carriage and went inside this hotel/inn place. She went to her room and when she opened the wardrobe, there was this really pretty white lolita dress inside. A woman was in the kitchen. It seemed that the girl was to marry the woman's son who was seventeen. The woman gave the girl some tea and I remember it was afternoon that time, and the girl blacked out, wearing the white lolita dress. When she woke up, she found that she was lying down on this really big piece of metal thing, and she was wearing this black feathery gothic lolita dress instead of the white one from earlier. The woman from earlier was also in the kitchen. Things get crazier. The girl got out of the inn and I don't remember what happened next in detail. I remember only fragments of it, like the radio tower, the lighthouse, pitchforks and torches and angry villagers, then Kung Fu panda and Tigress and a really cool modern sink in this modern bathroom in a penthouse room. I don't remember when exactly I dreamed this other dream (I think it was sometime around last year, I guess?). My schoolmates and I were in the desert, and in the middle there was this rock and a sphinx and and an old man were there. The sphinx would ask us a question (just like she did in mythology) and we would be able to get out of the desert if we were to answer correctly. She asked what the value of i was, and one of my friends answered "square root of negative one" and boom we were out of the desert and were back in the city. Last week, I dreamt that it was Juniors Prom Night and that my schoolmates and I were in my previous school's auditorium. Our hair was made up of soap (for serious) and then it rained. Yay.

"Where's KID?!" Mari demanded. KID was no longer on top of the train. "I'm pretty sure that he/she couldn't have gone far," Azura answered, panting and coughing. "I'm quite positive that the impersonator's nearby. It's highly improbable that KID escaped the crash and explosion. Even if he/she jumped off before the collision, he/she wouldn't have gotten away without a scratch considering the train's velocity at that moment." Azura got up carefully and brushed the dust off her jeans. "However, it's also possible that KID has an accomplice. We need to find the impersonator quickly before he/she gets away. Though I highly doubt that."The girl looked around, covering her nose and mouth with her handkerchief to avoid inhaling the smoke. "So who wants to go and look for the phantom thief? The remaining one has to stay and guard our blacked out friend here...oh nevermind. I guess he's awake now?" Azura said as the three girls watched Aster slowly blink toward consciousness.

I like your old display picture better. This one's good too, though! Both are 9/10. Cool signature! -

"You're crazy!" Azura yelled, following Aster who ran after the train. The steel monster crashed through the side of a building, Azura and the others barely able to dodge the falling debris. The smoke made it hard for her to see, but Azura could definitely hear the sound of metal crashing hard against another piece of metal. When the smoke cleared, she saw the train, now immobile and a broken chunk of metal which, apparently, had once been a car. An unconscious Aster lay on the ground near the collision. She saw it in the movies. She knew what was about to happen next. Gasoline had started to leak from the destroyed car's tank, and Azura knew it was only a matter of seconds before they were greeted by a huge explosion. Azura prayed that her years of joining triathlons would finally pay off as she rushed to the collision. Lifting one of his arms over her shoulder, she dragged the blacked-out Aster across the concrete road as fast as her legs could take them. Azura ran to the building which had been destroyed earlier and took shelter behind a large debris (which used to be a wall) as the car exploded, and chunks of metal and debris were blown all around. Aster remained unconscious by Azura's side. The latter looked around and yelled, in between breaths, "Misaki! Mari!" before slumping against the wall.

Azura stared at Aster like he was insane. Then she looked at the ground beneath her, thinking hard. Her gaze was fixed on a small pebble near her left shoe. "Misaki's right. Of course we can't just jump on the train. That would be insane," Azura said as she kicked the pebble gently, so that it landed inches away from her feet. "We need to slow the train down, then. Or better, completely stop it from moving." Azura kicked the pebble hard, and it disappeared from their view as it landed a long distance away from them. She turned to the others. "The question is, how? And please, I don't want to say vé mas despacio to the train." Azura said, her eyes on Aster.
