I'm trying to catch up ;A; Azura went into the restroom for a little while. When she got out, everything was chaotic. People were in a great hurry, running past her, headed outside the building. Azura removed her headphones and the panicked screams and shouts of the citizens pierced her ears. "What's going on?" She looked around, searching for her companions. They were nowhere to be seen. It wasn't long after when she found out the root of all the chaos---apparently some bomb exploded in the building, sending a wave of panic and fear. Right now, Azura was more concerned with finding her companions. What was happening was probably connected to the KID attack the Skeleton Guy mentioned earlier. She wanted to run away to "safety", but something was telling her to stay. Azura tried to find the others. It was much easier to move now that the building was almost deserted. She went around the building looking for the others, but still to no avail. A bit tired, she leaned against the wall near the emergency stairs to catch her breath, only to find herself falling backwards as the janitor's closet behind her opened. She fell, her back hitting the shelf, making the bottles and other stuff fall into the floor around her. A mop would also have fallen on her head had she not blocked it with her arms. As Azura tried to get up, she felt something a bit hard hit her foot. She figured it was one of the boxes that had fallen from the shelf, but it wasn't. Since the closet was dark, it was a bit hard to see but she could make out a somewhat rectangular shape. She picked it up, her hand gripping it tight. As she examined it, a sense of dread filled her body. She hadn't seen anything quite like it before, yet she didn't feel comfortable holding it. Suddenly, she could hear a bunch of footsteps racing up the stairs near her. It seemed like whoever they were, they must have been in such a hurry. She immediately stuffed the black rectangular thing in her backpack and ran up the stairs, chasing after whoever those footsteps belonged to earlier. Azura was glad she exercised often---otherwise she wouldn't have been able to climb up the stairs at such a speed continuously. By the time she reached the top floor, she had caught up with the owner of the footsteps. Owners. Just as she had thought, they were part of their group. They were two guys, and one of them held the other's arm, then threw something over the stair's rails. She wasn't quite sure what it was since she was a level below them, peeking silently. The guy then opened the emergency door, making the smallest amount of noise possible, and she found shock and terror etched on the first guy's face, while the other retained a blank expression, as if this was a normal situation. Suddenly, the first guy (Ren) disappeared from her sight. She heard a voice which she was sure belonged to him, and it sounded like he was conversing with---KID? Azura moved closer, one step at a time. "See, those parachutes could have taken a bullet for us. And uh, let go of my hand maybe?" The other guy (AL) said. Then Azura heard a gunshot, followed by a groan and a girl's shriek, which was then followed by another gunshot. Two gunshots in total. She stood frozen on the stairs, trying to make sense of what was happening on the roof, just a few yards away from where she was. "AL, what are you doing?! Help her!" She heard someone, probably the first guy, shout. Then she heard voices, this time there was a girl, and they sounded like they were talking to each other. Suddenly, the girl's voice cried out, "Run Mari!!!" Azura had reached the door. Standing there was the other guy, still watching what she expected to be a brutal scene, unfold before his eyes. Azura tapped the guy's shoulder, and he jumped a little, looking surprised for a bit before reverting back to his blank expression. She took out the rectangular object from her backpack and held it out a bit for the guy to see. "Do you know what this is?" She asked in a small voice, still leaning closely against the wall so she wouldn't be seen. She looked at the gruesome scene before them. She saw blood on the floor, a girl and the guy from earlier, both collapsed yet conscious. Behind the girl was another girl---Mari---and the strangest sight of all---a person dressed as KID with his back behind them, cape flowing and his "card" gun pointed at Mari. Azura was sure it wasn't like the card gun KID used. It was probably the source of the two gunshots she heard earlier and the reason why those two were collapsed and bloody on the floor not far from her. "I think that's a bomb," the guy finally replied, his voice also low. "So...what are you planning to do?" Azura asked him. She was sure she saw a hint of a smile on his face. This guy was crazy, and he had a plan. --- (What do you plan to do next, AL-nii? )

Where did you buy your copy of the book, Nara? I'd love to buy it... I stopped reading when classes started. I'm halfway through the book already. I really really want to finish it~~ It's so awesome. Oh, I loved the movie. One of my classmates used that for her book report back when we were in first year. It was cool. I see. Thanks!

Dear anonymous, Take your swearing down a notch. Please. Sincerely, your seatmate

I'd love a copy of that book. Where'd you get it? I've been trying to finish Mockingjay.

Dear Azura, If you really want to become the Top 1 of your batch this school year, then you better take your studies seriously and avoid any form of distraction. Sincerely, Rye.

@Nara-chan: No need to apologize! I'm actually really thankful for your dragging me around, and everything else in between. I really appreciate it --------------- After the brief awkward and embarrassing moment of being stared at by the foreigners (which seemed more like an hour to Azura), the strange group went back to discussing among themselves. Azura found it unnatural, though, how the weird hodgepodge didn't attract much attention from the passersby. Usually, something like that would attract even a bit of attention. "Is it really because Japan's usually filled with tourists that something like that's considered a natural thing?" Azura thought to herself. As she stood up and brushed the dust off her jeans, she noticed that not all of the foreigners had gone back to their discussion---there was a girl who was still looking at her, as if observing her. Azura and the girl shared some common physical features---they had the same hair color, same hair length, same jeans color. However, their facial features were quite different---Azura had Japanese-like facial features, and Azura was pretty sure that the girl's facial features were a bit, if not really similar to the facial features of some girls from Azura's home country. Azura was surprised when the girl suddenly sprinted towards her, their eyes still locked. "Anata wa watashitachi ni miru koto ga dekimasu? (You can see us?)" The girl asked. Azura blinked. "Umm..." She muttered to herself, unsure of what to respond. "You can see us?" The girl asked, now in English. "...Wait, what? Did she just ask if I could see them?" Azura found it strange that the girl would ask such a question. The way the girl asked it made it seem like there was something going on, something deeper and more serious. "O-Of course I can," Azura answered. "How could I not?" She said, smiling a bit awkwardly as she said the words. Her smile faded quickly when she saw the girl's reaction to her response. Even though it was very brief---the girl's facial expression immediately reverted back to a poker face---Azura was sure that the girl was shocked, which was an unexpected reaction to her reply. "Is something wrong?" Azura asked. The girl looked at the group beside them, then back to Azura. "You see, there's something really complicated going on. I don't really know why, but somehow a bunch of foreigners ended up in Shibuya and gathered together after meeting this Skeleton Man. It seems like we're invisible to the other passersby. Since strangely, you're able to see us, it seems like you're part of the group as well..." Azura took a moment to comprehend what the girl just said. It was really strange and highly improbable, if not impossible. Yet something was tugging at her, telling her it's true. "How are you sure I'm part of this?" Azura said. "You don't seem like one who kids around---you sound like you're really serious about what it is you're saying. What I mean is, how are you sure this is really true? You only see this kind of stuff in movies and manga, right?" "It seems that there is something common in all of the members of the group. According to the Skeleton Man, we're all part of a certain online forum." The girl replied. Now that the girl mentioned it, Azura remembered the Skeleton Guy saying something like that while she was eavesdropping. "Are you...perhaps...part of an online forum called Detective Conan World?" The girl asked. Azura didn't need to say the answer---the look of shock on her face already gave it away. The girl smiled a bit. "Well then, welcome to our strange group. Though, I'm not so sure if we really are welcome..." The girl glanced briefly at the group before continuing. "You can call me Mari. What's your name?" Mari inquired. "Azura. You can call me Azura." "I might as well fill you in, Azura. Something's going to happen tonight---A KID attack. And according to Skelly, people are going to die tonight." Mari said gravely, staring at the pavement. "The others are planning to stop it, I guess. I think it would be best to explain everything to you later, that is, if you want to come." She continued. Silence followed. Azura thought that they should leave the matter to the police. She didn't know why, but something was telling her that it would be best if she tagged along. She decided it would be best to trust her instincts. After all, it's gotten her this far already. "Well...I'm in, then. I guess I'll tag along." Azura said. Not long after, a car arrived, and the others tried to squeeze in. She and Mari were left behind, and they trailed the car to the department store just near the park. Mari filled her in along the way, telling her the important information. Azura figured Mari was quite reserved, but that was alright with her. After all, she wasn't that different. The rest of the walk was quiet. Mari had been able to find the group easily, probably because the others stood out. She watched the people walk by her as she waited by the department store, with Mari leaning against the wall just near her. -------- @Nara-chan: Sorry for making you say a lot of stuff ;A;

*hugs Nara-chan back* -------------------- Azura walked silently. Being half-Japanese, she had no trouble blending in with the late-afternoon crowd in Shibuya. For once in her life, she felt relaxed and free. She was wound so tightly in her little academic world, with nothing else to save her from the dullness of academia other than anime. Using the money she had been saving for the past few months, she went to Japan by herself, telling her parents it was for an academic workshop/seminar. Of course it had to be related to academics; her parents would never allow her to go had her excuse been about something else. The peaceful and relaxing atmosphere didn't last long. It never did. Azura was getting a bit tired after a long day of walking and window shopping. She headed for a nearby park and found a nice bench to sit on. As Azura sat and enjoyed the view, she noticed that there was a bit of commotion going on in the park, not so far from her. She stood up and went closer to get a clearer view. Honestly, she was surprised to find a group of foreigners huddled around a....was that a skeleton man? Azura knew eavesdropping wasn't good, but she still went on ahead out of curiosity. After all, who wouldn't be curious after seeing something like that? She crouched near a bush and tried to listen in. She wasn't close enough to catch everything, but she heard enough to know it wasn't just something random. She heard the skeleton man say something about people from some forum, and then the guy...disappeared, making Azura gasp a bit. "Well that's extraordinary..." Azura thought to herself. It wasn't long after the skeleton disappeared when one of the foreigners raised his hand and said something. Just then, Azura felt something...prick her leg. Then there was the sensation that made her spine tingle, and after that came a series of pricks and bites and crawling of things on her leg. Azura let out a shriek before she could stop herself, and scrambled away from the bush. There were ants everywhere, and she did her best to rub the ants off her leg. She breathed out a sigh of relief after successfully removing the ants, but it seemed at that moment that the ants were the least of her problems. The huddled group of foreigners were now staring strangely at her, making her want the ground to eat her up at that very moment.

Unfortunately, I forgot where I left off---I might have to start all over again I'm still reading Gakuen Alice. With a few one shots from time to time.

I Will Survive - Gloria Gaynor (My brother's playing Saints Row: The Third and that's the background song. Apparently he's saving a girl named Shaundi?)

I think it's probably Sato or Takagi. Maybe it'll be both of them. Sato's keen on details and she's very observant. I assume Takagi'll be with her. I can almost imagine happening. Sato sees someone suspicious and wants to know more about it, and decides to pursue it. Takagi, who is with her, tells her that he thinks it's not a great idea, that he feels that this is different, more dangerous. Sato, of course, insists on pursuing this suspicious individual, and they find themselves involved in something they can't easily get out of. (kinda like what happened to Shinichi) Of course, this is all a figment of my imagination Just a possible scene~ I am seeing DanganRonpa in this thread
