Akako's actions would be pretty unique though, with the fact she's a witch and everything. Though, Akako breaks logic so I'm not certain if she'd be allowed. (And anyway, she'd probably be able to control Anokata if it's a boy... :mrgreen:)

I think that it's not Matsumoto (in the file with his daughter's marriage it shows him in the pic of in 3 years time) and I can't come up with a reason why Agasa would keep Conan and Haibara alive if he was the boss (especially if you consider that he had plenty of chance to kill Haibara when she was first introduced before anyone found out about her). Also, Agasa claims he is 52 years old (Ep 129) and has Fusae seems to back it up. Yuusaku also seems pretty unlikely because: 1) I see him as a sorta self-insert of Aoyama, an 'author', knows what's going to happen before Conan/Shinichi and is also obsessed with American/British stuff and other parellels. Of course, if you think Aoyama=Anokata... 2) Why is Haibara still alive if that's the case? 3) Yuusaku would be around his fourties, the age thing would be a big obstacle considering he wouldn't be able to wear make-up 'cause Yukiko would realise, being taught by Touichi an' all, unless she was in on it too which is unlikely. (On a side note it's quite weird how both of Touichi's students (Vermouth and Yukiko) don't look like they've aged much, shame Pandora isn't confirmed to be canon). So, I'd say it's either someone who's had plenty of background references but has only been seen once or twice (for example: Yamamura's grandmother or that magician who I can't remember the name of...). The other option is someone like James Black (he'd have lots of connections, also I have to wonder how he so easily got a job in the FBI if he was originally from Britain. Wouldn't that count against him?) one of Kogoro's relatives (Chekhov mentioned that you don't see any of his personal history and the only reason why Aoyama would hold off so long on giving one of the most important characters a background story is if it's somehow significant to the wider plot and can only be revealed at a certain time) Youko (considering she was introduced very early on when Aoyama didn't think the series would last so long and she has lots of side mentions makes her an obvious candidate). ...there's probably more but I can't think of them at the moment. Eh, I'll just post them later...

There'll almost certainly be consequences for the DB being around, they have a habit of mentioning things at either the 'right' times or the 'wrong' times. So when this case is over it looks like Sera will start looking into Kudo Shinichi and his 'connection' with Conan, while this is going on Ran will be getting another suspicion arc and the fingerprints on Hattori's charm-thing will almost certainly get mentioned. It's quite hard to trick solid evidence after all. :mrgreen: ...though I've not a clue how [insert character here] will save the day (if it was Okiya who saves everyone I'd be like: 'cause I want to see A-Okiya to meet his relative Sera) :mrgreen:

Technically he doesn't announce the culprit, he announces the rat. Just mentioning in case the rat isn't the culprit.

Well, there are spoiler pics for about 3 pages or so, if you haven't already seen those there are links to on the previous page. Other than that though the standard pattern for the chinese files being released means that it (the entire chinese file, I mean) should be out about half 3 or a bit later GMT time tomorrow (the 4th). I live in the UK and don't know your time zone so I can't say the exact time it'll be where you live, just that it should be roughly sometime on the 4th of April. For the english one I'd say that depending on how fast the translation is (the japanese version is out on the 6th according to dctp) it could be out from the 6th to at the latest the 8th. Hope that's helpful...

...I'd be pretty depressed I think. Some fanfictions really capture it perfectly though you've got to sift through all the junk to get to them, I'll post some links to some good ones that involve 'Being Conan' as you've put it (and some from what other people think about it). They are mostly about how Conan is angsting (yes, I use that word a lot) over being stuck as a child and not himself, hopefully it's what you're looking for

So, do you not normally read the manga at dctp then? Anyway, random theory time 1) Sera's seems most likely to be Akai's sister (or some other relation), nearly everyone agrees on this so hopefully it'll be true... 2) Okiya will have to turn up at some point in the next few cases, I'm personally looking forward to this because his reaction will probably be priceless. :mrgreen: 3) Sera will trigger a suspicion arc for Ran to start thinking Conan=Shinichi again (possibly others will also get suspicious). 5) Conan will become very, very paranoid 6) Takagi will accidently reveal he's suspected Conan=Shinichi for a while 7) Goro (Eri's cat) will be revealed as Anokata! ...unless you can't tell I'm not serious about 7, but there is actually some evidence for 6 (file 770 for one, Takagi addresses 'Shinichi' over the phone as 'Shinichi-kun' despite that every other time Takagi and Shinichi have met he's called him 'Kudo-kun' with the last time being the Shirigami-sama case, kinda makes you think why, when they've had no contact Takagi suddenly changed to 'Shinichi-kun. And that's just one example ). And yes, I am a Takagi fan :mrgreen:
