  1. Actually During the Reunion With the Black Corps episodes, 176-178, we see Gin get hit by the tranc' dart then we see the dart/needle just break into tiny fragments. Maybe the original idea was to have it shatter after impact but it could be that doesn't do this 100% of the time. This could be the reason why the one time Conan hits Ran back pocket and remains intact.
  2. Yeah, that was a supreme epic fail on their part.
  3. I ban you for having an avie that reminds me of Hakuba.
  4. Japanese all the way. I was so ticked off when they changed TWO-MIX into Two-Times. They left it alone in the American release of the manga but then changed it in the American release of the anime. Dang-it, it's bad enough when they change the names of the fictional characters and then they go and change the names of real people; they changed the names of Minami and Shiina! How messed up is that?! Btw this is a was on the back of volume 30 of the American release of the Detective Conan manga. No I did not make that typo; that is actually on the back of volume 30 and can be found on the Viz website. I saw volume 30 at a bookstore with this on the back and was absolutely flabbergasted. I mean geez, they mess up Akai with Akagi in another issue and they do this. The sad thing about the Akai/Akagi thing is that the name was shown as 'Akai' before the mess up with Akagi so that even someone who wasn't at all familiar with the original version would know there was a screw-up with the name.
  5. Amen to that. It's actually kinda scary when you think about it, though.
  6. I just added some information to the Minami Takayama DCW wiki entry. Two more of her voice acting roles have been added to the list of notable roles.

  7. Can you post the exact url you used? It maybhave something to do with your web browser, you internet connection or your computer.

  8. This is sorta an odd question but are you familiar with the Chekhov related stuff on the TV Tropes web page (Chekhov's Gun; Chekhov's Gunman; Chekhov's Hobby and so on)?

  9. Actually I am at Edogawaconan.com at the moment and I'm able to get to the wallpaper depot just fine.

  10. suutashi

    A-LE-LE

Seeing Kogoro doing it was mildly disturbing.
  11. Yeah, I'm also suutashi at DCTP.

  12. No, no I'm not a staff member at DCTP. I'm actually relatively new there; I joined in November. My first post was on your DCTP forum thread "Chekhov's theories about the plot". It was about the code names used in the Black Org. and how one in particular was inconsistent. I did actually end up figuring out what the deal was with it. (Well maybe....?) I kinda wish you'd check your posts on there every so often. The "Things I shouldn't do in the Black Organization..." thread has several new additions you may enjoy.
  13. Actually it's technically my real first name. I found a website a few years back where you could input your name and fave it 'translated' into katakana. I put my name 'Stacy' in the name translator only instead of translating my name phonetically it did by spelling. So instead of what I think should have been 'Suuteshi' it was 'Suutashi'. I did end up figuring out it a mistake but the name has stuck with me ever since.
  14. An idea I have would be to come up with different detective characters you could start with and your skills, experience, etc would be based on what that particular character is capable of. Basically what your character is capable of would involve that character's personal history, personal experience, their vices, their virtues, weaknesses, personality, physical abilities, limitations and so on. It would allow for a variety of different approaches to the game and would help reduce monotony.
  15. Have you heard of the Cat Who series by Lilian Jackson Braun? You might be interested in that series. One of the cats, Koko, is the featured detective for volume 61 of the Detective Conan manga.
  16. Hi everyone of the D.C. World forums. Um, I've never been too good at introductions, so.... I've been a avid fan of Detective Conan for a few years now. I just happened to find manga scanlations on the web after doing a web search for Detective Conan after someone reminded me of the series. I had mostly only known Detective Conan by its infamous US release name of Case Closed when it aired on Cartoon Network's Adult Swim. It had not really grabbed my attention during its short run on Adult Swim but something made me think of it again when it was mentioned in two different issues of a magazine I read called Anime Insider. It was not until a few years after the show no longer ran on Adult Swim that my mother asked me about the show. We had learned over the past years that Case Closed was really called Detective Conan and I believe someone had mentioned the show to her which brought her to ask me about it. I had been browsing manga titles on a webpage when she asked me about it and then it was history. When it comes to someone that is of interest to me it try to learn everything there is about it. Research is one of my greatest passions and I am proud to say that I can maintain large amounts of information. I'd recommend looking up Spencer Reid of Criminal Minds if you really want to see what I can be like in real life. I think my wall of text introduction shows the similarity. Anyway I think I'll try wrapping this up before I type out a novel. For anyone wondering the cat in the avatar in a Russian Blue in honor of Goro and my signature says 'suutashi' in katakana. I'm also a member of DCTP and you can also contact me there. Peace out!
