I doubt all. As it is, all the information concerning the plot will always appear in the manga first. OVAs, fillers, magic-files have absolutely no link to that whatsoever. So I wouldn't expect anything extraordinary.

There might be a story behind it (that's not even sure). But I don't think it will be told except if MK starts being published again. I don't see the story being told in DC, and I don't want it to be told in DC because the universe just does not fit. In MK, there's no doubt Kaito has a story and a certain depth. But in DC, he's a comic relief character with absolutely no depth and unless Gosho goes againt what he's already said, the character will not have any role in DC's plot.

I don't think we should really be looking too deep into this. Don't forget that Kaito Kid is more a comic relief character than anything else, and his fear of fish was probably just invented for that purpose.

Gosho still has the rights to his manga, and so he can be against having certain characters in fillers, OVAs, magic-files...That's why there's no fillers with the BO, Kid, Heiji or Kazuha (mystery tour excepted). As far as the movies are concerned, I assume that he also gives his opinion before using the BO since he always participates a little in the making of the movies. Personally, I'd rather not see the BO anyway else other then in the manga/anime (for the movies, it's now too late, sadly...).

It's not bad, it's actually much better than last year's theme IMO, but it's not great either (I don't think the part played with the flute really fits, even if it's very nice) and it lacks the upbeatness of my favorite versions.

Without Conan in it, the series' popularity will decline at the speed of light. Shinichi is popular among fans, but Conan is a whole different story, he's almost a symbol, and Shinichi will never become that in the eyes of the japanese people who aren't Conan hard-core fans but just watch the anime or read the manga once every full moon.

I don't mind more. But I want the series to remain the way it is. The only reason I'd be ready to accept some kind of Detective Shinichi spin-off is the cases being more adult.

That's good news. Dark movies are the best. Far better than the light-hearted crap we had last year.

I think the person mentioned it was the 10 years Cinema Guide.

He usually draws one scene in every movie. I think some of the ideas used in the movies are his as well.

Doraemon currently has around 30 movies, so it's not impossible. I think that as long as the movies bring in so much money, they'll keep making them.

Looks like people are having a hard time understand this : You won't see the movie tomorrow, or next week, or next month, unless you live in Japan. You'll see it in october and complaining until then won't change anything. As far as I'm concerned, I don't mind waiting, I've gotten used to it since it's the same thing every year.

Pay yourself a trip to Japan then. It's not like the subbers can sub it without the DVD.

Apparently, Magic Kaito failed to keep people's interest in Japan (at least until DC appeared), and I understand why given these characters.

Vermouth's first appearance : Volume 24. Confrontation : Volume 42 (19 volumes) Kir's first appearance : Volume 49. Confrontation : Volume 59 (11 volumes) Okiya's first apperance (+ Bourbon is first mentioned) : Volume 60. Confrontation : Volume ?? File 774 which will come out in two weeks will probably be the first file of Volume 74 (assuming each volumes has 11 files). That means file 800 (which will likely be BO) will be in Volume 76, I assume that's when the Bourbon Arc is going to pick up. Of course, Gosho and his team could stretch it even longer than the Vermouth Arc, so this little demonstration can perfectly be contradicted. As for the boss, I assume he will have en arc of his own. When he will be revealed is unknown given that Gosho could introduce new members for the story to last longer. Furthermore, he could become some kind of Doctor Claw who's identity remains unknown forever.

562, 565, 566 and 567 are probably in my Top 10 of the worst cases with 566 taking the top spot. The anime team really wrote a lot of terrible AOs at the beginning of 2010.

He's way too arrogant and has absolutely no depth (which is normal since he appeared twice). As for Kid, despite not being a big fan of MK, I prefer the original Kid than the arrogant and flat one we have in DC. The fact that he's a pure fan-service character (in DC) also ticks me off. Besides, I'm not a fan of most cases in which he's involed which are the worst ones in the whole manga (some DB cases excepted).
