  1. I can speak french. this is my mother tongue. And I can speak english and japanese. I studied german in school (for 5 years) but I forget everything. Because I never practiced it. ^^
  2. Oh really? o_O I always wonder which one is correct or not. Is it the same with hate/like/love? yes you're right. Actually you only have one present tense in french so that explains why it's difficult for me to choose the correct one. But I also learned the two kind of present tenses in japanese and its use is also different from english. So it's very confusing... 日本語でもたまに間違ってると思うので、混乱に成っちゃうわ。 (only a comment for people who speak japanese. So don't worry) Well, anyway, practice is a good way to improve. May I ask the english spoken members to correct some of my mistakes? Not every time of course. But it would be a good chance for me to understand my bigger mistakes and to correct them. thanks every body.
  3. Yeah ... and Gosho is a great fan.
  4. I agree but this is just a detail. That doesn't mean we'll heard more about Toichi in the main plot of DC later. I absolutely agree. I know what you mean but Heiji is a kind of typical shonen character: the friend rival. In every shonen manga you have a kind a rival/opponent who become a very close friend to the hero after a short "fight". This is the same with Heiji. And Gosho didn't change his role. Heiji became exactly what he was created to be. A friend Shinichi can talk about his problems with. I would like DC's Kid character to be more developped. I think he's too ... empty. T_T I don't understand why people love him so much in DC. But There is no accounting for taste isn't it? ^^
  5. Thank you for your answwer. What I mean was in sentences like that: - I like playing football - I prefer play/playing/to play(?) football and the other verbs: for example to hate, to love, etc... I have some other examples of verb with a different meaning but I don't remember them now. I will edit or ask it later when I'll remember them. Oh thanks for giving me these advices. I will try to be carefull. I always have problems with the use of past simple/past perfect and present simple/present perfect. T__T
  6. because Kids is the hero of his other manga and Conan is the hero of DC. He always said (in interviews) Kid appeared in the DC story as a guest and nothing else but he never involved him until now. And Kid has his own story. That would be weird if Kid suddenly took part in the main plot during the final stage of the story.
  7. I totally agree with Wakarimashita.
  8. Do you consider the movies and OAV as the main plot?
  9. I answered by MP. Sorry for the flood.
  10. Well, I have lived in Tokyo for one year and I pretty know the way of using the expression "sugee" and in my opinion, for japanese people it doesn't reflect exactly the meaning of beeing casual. They wanna be kind of cool but USUALLY people don't consider it as elegant or polite. It's a bit rude. I personaly heve never known a woman using it. And actually, in Osaka, nobody use the ~ええ form for the adjectives. In kansai dialect both mens and women use the ~おい like in 凄い、かっこい、or おもろい (= 面白い). I couldn't tell for the other dialects but because there are a lot of dialects in Japan, I don't think the ~ええ form is so usual as you may imagine. But anyway, I just wanted to recommand you to focus on the 標準語 (the standard japanese) especially for a basic japanese lesson. I also have never seen the form すげい but only the form すげえ or すげー when I found it written.
  11. Maybe there not any big jewels in Osaka. Or they have met but we don't know it because it's not important.
  12. Heiji met Haibara during the high school festival, doesn't he? Actually they pretty know each other so ... Heiji never meer Kaito because we don't read/watch Detective Heiji story but Detective Conan. Heiji isn't the main character. Plus, Heiji lives in Osaka which is very far from Tokyo. And the Kid lives in Tokyo and makes his robberies there and not in Osaka.
  13. If you mean "Sugee" it's not a very polite form. It's only spoken by young men with bad manners. And it's mostly a spoken expression. It's not in the dictionnay (I mean the japanese-japanese dictionnary 広辞苑). I hope that you know you shouldn't try to speak japanese like in manga if you go to Japan one day. You would give a very very bad impression to the japanese people you talk with. Actually if you do a japanese basic course you should learn the polite form first. That means adjective finish with ~い or ~な
  14. I have a question: is there a rule that explains when you use "Verb + Verb ING" and "Verb + TO verb"? I think you say: "I love fishing" and not "I love to fish" But I don't know how to use this grammar rule.
  15. Not really. I speak japanese here you know.
  16. don't you mean すごい?
  17. What do you call a courtroom confrontation? Do you have an example in a case?
  18. Ok, I see. I didn't know this abbreviation. Thanks. I didn't watch the anime for many years. So I don't know very much the quality of the AO. But actually DC is not exactly a franchise because the staff can't create an AO with the regular popular characters (like the Kid, Heiji, the Black Org, Eri, etc...). Aoyama must give them a permission first.
  19. I learned a bit of Osaka's dialect and I also learned the BIG MAN (volume 34) wasn't a shop's name but the name of a Giant Screen in the Umeda station. Well I haven't learned a lot of things in DC... o_O
  20. I'm not dreaming. I would like to read the end of Conan's story. I'm a fan for about ten years and to tell the truth, I started to be fed up of waiting. I really love DC, but Gosho is keeping the story too much. there is so few development in the plot. Especially recently. So I'm not really optimistic. The problem is that Aoyama doesn't know when he can draw the end of the story (Interview of Mark Barnabe from May 2010: http://mastersofmanga.com/2010/07/interviewaoyama/ ). And actually if you look at the Shonen Sunday Magazine there isn't any good serie in it. If DC would end, the Shonen Sunday Magazine wouldn't be able to survive very long. The magazine needs a really good serie as a substitute of DC. And after that, I also think DC may become... how can I explain that... a franchise? I mean, the rights wouldn't stay the property of Gosho but would become the property of a studio with other mangaka. And they would be able to draw the story freely. Like Doraemon or Kochikame serie. Do you understand what I mean?
  21. Nobody knows. Aoyama didn't give any hint about it.
  22. These are the usual prices from the 2 airports in Kansai Area. But actually they say there are cheaper flights... But the two Osakans always decide to come to Tokyo very suddenly so I don't really imagine theme looking for a cheaper plan. Foreigners often come for tourism. In Japan, it's really expensive to travel. Usually people prefer going to China or Korea because it's cheaper than traveling in Japan. So I guess they created the Railpass to develop the tourism. But actually I was also surprised you said a 12000 yens ticket was not so expensive for a teen. Well, in my opinion, it is. Could it be a different point of view because we live in different countries?
  23. isn't it discounts for foreigners? Like the japan railpass there aren't available for japanese residents or foreigners residents. I expected you could introduce me a good way to travel to Tokyo very cheap T__T The only way I know is the night bus (which cost only 6000 yens) but it takes all the night to go to Tokyo and I unfortunately have motion sickness so I can't take it... Too bad.
