I mean, a few things bothered me (I watched on Mythbusters that cars don't blow up when you drop them, they're usually specifically designed to prevent that - also, the bike falling faster than Toichi and Chikage bugged me, though if the bike was much more massive then it would have had less air resistance? I dunno), but it was a cool chapter overall. Gouzu's disciples, huh? I guess that we'll have more Kid chapters coming up some time in the future?

As for the whole 'Shinjitsu wa itsumo hitotsu!' thing, Gosho said in this year's OtonaFami magazine's interview that he and the anime writer came up with this line at the same time independently. Erm, the line that Gosho came up with is in File 92-96, which is slightly different from the 'shinjitsu wa itsumo hitotsu!' thing, but the idea is the same.

*Looks at original Japanese* Gin says 姿を変えてズラかるぞ・・・, which, to me, means "Let's change and get out of here" - you're right, Gin did get out of that locker room after changing his appearance (because he thinks that cops might have been called already), but the change is probably limited to his clothes. He's probably not a master of disguise like Vermouth or Kid, though. I feel like his disguising ability isn't any better than the average joe's . . . ^^; Unless, of course, you have other evidence. ^^ But Anime Episode 311 isn't convincing to me.

@Charala97: I know, I've read that link (though now it seems to be dead). I translated that interview, too. You're free to make your own theories based on facts (the 'wolf' thing makes me think of BO, too), I'm just correcting a few facts you've mentioned. Yep, that's right, might is the keyword here. This is the original interview answer: As you can see, Gosho seems to know that some of his fans figured out the Gundam references in the Bourbon arc, and the sister comment is in response to that. As for the Sera v. Haibara comment, this is the original interview answer: As you can see, Gosho specifically mentioned that Sera v. Haibara plot will happen aside from the Bourbon arc. This translation comes from this Japanese line, "それとは別の山場に". それとは別の = Beside/Aside from, 山場に = climax/arc. Sera v. Haibara is unrelated to the Bourbon arc. Speculation/theories are fine, just be sure to build them based on the facts, yes? ^^

I like this Phantom Lady character! She's proving to be awesome so far. It's funny, I went to Universal Studios this summer, and I saw something like what the Phantom Lady was using. It looked like a knife, but it was made out of some soft, red material on the inside that looks like blood. If you used the knife and used it to saw your hand, it would look like you were cutting off your hand, ha ha.

Manga and subbed for me. ^^ I liked the anime in the old days, but these days the digitalized versions look . . . so weird to me. I miss the analog ones . . . As for subbed vs. dubbed, I feel so weird listening to Conan sounding like a kid all the time in the dubbed version, ha ha. I have to say, though, that Shinichi sounds quite sexy in the French dub! I haven't seen any dubs that does Conan quite as well as Takayama Minami, though.

@kfnnapa Oh, I'm not really mad at you, I'm just . . . sensitive when it comes to misunderstandings about my culture. ^^; I get irritated by the sucky English in DC, too, so I generally wish that everybody would try not to misunderstand other cultures.

I have to say, I've played mahjong with my family before (they're Chinese), and I've never seen a red dragon or any dragon piece. Wikipedia says that red dragon pieces are unique to American/Western sets, and I wouldn't expect Watanabe, a Japanese dude, to know about the existence of American mahjong pieces. Although, there is a piece that the English Wikipedia says represents a red dragon tile, but the Japanese Wikipedia says that it represents red lips, characteristic of a beautiful woman. Either way, the real character engraved is 中, pronounced "zhong" in Chinese pinyin or "naka" in Japanese romanization, and in either language means "middle". The tile is called 红中 (hong-zhong in pinyin or ホンチュン (honchun) in Japanese), and its literal meaning is simply "red middle". It's not a tile you'd immediately associate with a dragon. TL;DR THERE'S NO DRAGONS IN REAL MAHJONG! *pants pants* /Whines of an Asian Anyways . . . EDIT: I just looked up the Chinese Wikipedia page for the meaning of the so-called 'red dragon piece', and apparently there are a lot of theories. One theory is that it reflected the wish to pass provincial level imperial examination to be socially elevated and be wealthy (中就是中舉(中解元、中會元、中狀元，合稱中三元)), another theory is that mahjong was invented by Kongzi (Confucius) and the "middle" tile means "benevolence" or maybe "loyalty" (麻雀由孔子發明，而三元牌的中、發、白分别代表仁愛、真誠和孝心，或忠、孝、義。), and yet another theory is that the tile is a component of archery, specifically the target (in the old days apparently Chinese people used to write a red 中 ('middle') on the archery target) (麻雀牌的箭牌本與箭術有關。紅中表示箭靶（古代射箭，靶上常用一個紅色的中字）). Another theory is that the 'middle' should be grouped with the "北 (north)、東 (east)、南 (south)、西 (west)" tiles and just means 'middle'. Either way, that tile has nothing to do with dragons!

Fast and awesome, as always <3 I'm surprised that Satake was the one who tried to make Heiji see the optical illusion at Karuizawa and who blamed Ikurou's murder on the wife. I thought that there would be multiple culprits acting independently like Chekhov predicted, but in the end there was really one culprit, aside from the husband's murder. I guess that this is part of that whole Occam's razor thing-a-ma-bob.
