  1. Huh. Interesting ending. But it was nice RPing with everyone This was fun~ So who were the murderers (besides KKLT since we all know she's one )? I was the Hunter BTW, which more or less meant I got to injure people.
  2. Stoooooooop I need a wish list from youuuuuu (I know you said you didn't have any preferences, but making one makes it easier on your Santa to know what to make you so =X)

  3. You should join Secret Santa :D

  4. One more week to sign up/drop out/etc. for Secret Santa! (Also, I need wish lists from some people; if you haven't posted one in the thread, please do so ASAP) http://www.detectiveconanworld.com/forum/topic/4197-secret-santa/

  5. "My, my, noisy spirits." Misaki turned her head around, looking at the source of the voice. The man let out a sigh, and stared uninterestingly at the floating shotgun. His glance left it after watching it for a few seconds, but went back to the floating shotgun very quickly. His hand went to his eyepatch, and he peeled it off. With his other hand, he covered what had been underneath the eyepatch. "Can you ever keep quiet?" He uncovered his other eye. Suddenly, a bright blue light came from it. Seeing how her ghostly retinas were unaffected from the brightness, she watched as the annoying spirit of the once-weapon-wielding man slowly disintegrated until it was no more. CLACK! The shotgun fell onto the ground harmlessly as the sound it made echoed softly in the corridor. After the deed was done, the man quickly covered his once-glowing eye with his eyepatch before staring at Misaki. The two locked eyes for a moment before he said, "That eye I gave you, the Eye of Truth, remember? My eye is its counterpart. Anyway, I'd appreciate it if you kept quiet, or I'll do with you like how I did with him. And since you've played this game so well, I'll let you in on a secret." A secret? He looked around, making sure no one was around to hear the so-called "secret". Once he confirmed only she was there, he continued. "I made a deal with one of the three remaining survivors, that I will grant them safe passage in exchange for the deaths of the others. It's highly likely that this person will reject this offer. The best part is, that, should that person refuse the offer, they die. And there's other stuff involved too, but that's all I wanna tell you right now." ... Well then. I wonder what will happen... He flashed her a smile before walking away. Her eyes followed him as he slowly disappearing from her sight. As soon as he was completely gone, she turned around with the intention of going back to the library to read. It was then when she saw a woman. Even with her pale, glowing spirit form, Misaki recognized who it was right away. Anne Scarlet. "It seems he's been wrecking havoc on you all," she smiled. "He has no intention to ever solve my murder. All he wants to do is entertain his crooked and malicious wishes." Of course. Why am I not surprised? She continued, "I'm pretty sure you've had some hint of this, but I will tell you his true identity." ... True identity? You mean he isn't a sick asshole who likes to hold people hostage, make us solve a murder that he doesn't give a crap about and punish us when we don't do enough to catch a murderer? Anne's eyes wandered around, seemingly making sure no one else was around just like the man had. "He is obviously not mortal, not in any sense. What he is, though, is a manifestation of man's negative emotions. He embodies wrath, malice, envy, and hatred. But he also represents sadness and loneliness." Misaki knew that man wasn't mortal. It wasn't possible. But being a manifestation of human's negative emotions was not what she was expecting. Not at all. Though that would explain that sad look he had for a moment when he brought Gracie's brother back... She let out a sigh. "I'm afraid he's gone too far with his illusions. There's nothing we can do, as spirits, but wait," she frowned as she crossed her arms. "The remaining three have already fallen into his trap. By tonight, it will be all over." "Unless, of course, everyone here unites to overcome him..." Misaki stared at her for a second before repeating, "Unite to overcome him?" The woman nodded. "If you do that, then you can for sure beat him." Silence filled the air for a second as the two spirits floated there. Suddenly, Ms. Scarlet broke the silence by saying, "I must go. A pleasure meeting you again." As she gave a small wave, she began to fade away. Right before she disappeared completely, Anne gave a smile at the other spirit, though she didn't know why. After all, she was one of the many that had failed to solve her murder. But before she could ask why she had done such an act, she was gone. And that left Misaki in the passage. All alone.
  6. Misaki let out a sigh. She had finished the book, and its ending was less than satisfactory. Really, what a terrible way to end a book... As she placed it back where it belonged, she heard a voice float into her ear (or whatever ghosts had for hearing). "Alright... Now I will kill Jamie..." She knew that voice. It belonged to the gun obsessed guy who was likely killed by Aki. She floated toward it, going through the bookcase in the process, to find a passage way. And in there was him, with an automatic shotgun. He seemed slightly surprised with her presence. As he opened his mouth to speak, she said, "You really should put that away."
  7. (Hey, I'm reading a book, I don't see what's so evil about me )
  8. Misaki sat on her bed, reading a book she took from the library, as her roommate sat and ate her candy. "It's not playing god, you know." The man was neatly perched on the shelf. Misaki stared at him. When did he get in here?! "I'm very limited in what I can do. That's why I don't try to bring back Scarlet...and who cares about that woman, anyway?" ... And yet he's making us find out who the murderer is... He scratched his head, then shrugged. "But I'm here for more important matters. You're really lucky, you know. I rarely kill anyone by my own hand." He jumped down onto the floor, and opened his arms wide. He grinned wickedly. "But after all, that doesn't matter, does it, murderer?!" Misaki's head whipped towards the girl, who's face looked pale white from being revealed. The ground shook violently as the words left the man's mouth. When she looked up, she saw the ceiling collapsing. She rolled off her bed, narrowly avoiding the piece falling down where she had been only a moment before. However, that didn't keep her from her leg being trapped underneath a different falling piece. She bit her scream of pain down, since her pride was more important than screaming like a little girl. She heard a sickening crunch coming from the other side of the room. Well, at least there's one less murderer now. She knew she was going to die soon. With how things were going, this was meant to kill them both. But she didn't want to die at that man's hands. Never. She reached down, grabbing the gun she had kept hidden in her pants all this time out, before clicking the safety off. Too bad I didn't completely complete my job. A faint of a grin graced her face as she pulled the trigger, the sound of the shot not even being heard. --------- She looked from above, hovering over the now-destroyed room. She didn't see the ghost of her roommate-murderer, and nor did she wish to. Too bad they were dead or else she would kill her. Well, since I'm dead, might as well put that in place. Misaki left the room and floated out of her room before going headed towards the library. Well, since I'm dead, I can at least relax. I'll go to the library and read... I never did finish that one book. ------ (Yeah. Killed myself off. Time to go be a random ghost 8D)
  9. You can say it here or leave a comment on my profile saying you wish to drop out of the event. BTW, since I've totally neglected to put up a wish list, here's mine: ~SatoxTakagi (total love if you do this <3) ~CoAi ~Kagamine Rin + Len (would like to see a snowball fight between whatever two you pick, though you can totally ignore this if you have better ideas)
  10. What do you mean? Like, someone says "I want to get a drawing of Conan!", and as a result we pick their Santa out of the people who can draw? But what if there were too many requests for certain things like stories and not enough people willing to write? Oh I'm sure you could draw a lovely Santa tornado for someone Though the reason why I was having the wish list be only characters with an optional scene that their santa may or may not do is because of the fact that it gives a bit of structure but not so much that they can do what their good at (For example: if someone wanted Heiji, their Santa could draw them some Heiji fan art, write them a Heiji fanfic, do a Heiji AMV, etc.)
  11. Probably would, but if someone not participating arranged everything, then that'd defeat the purpose of us running the event =X
  12. (@Wicky, I think what Moho meant when he said "unfairly influence the game" meant saying something OOC that could give the upper hand to a side. As far as Eye of Truth goes, only I can use it since it's my item so =X) ----- Misaki waited for the night to come, rolling the newly gained eye in her hand. As the sun began to set, they decided to vote, just like with Aleksander. before she put her ballots in, she thought about it. Well, might as well vote for him. He did look suspicious. As she began to slip it into the box, she stopped. ... But where's the proof? She had no proof whatsoever that he was a murderer. So, quickly, she erased her vote before replacing it with a different answer and setting it into the box. Being the last one to vote, they emptied out the votes. Four for murderer, two for not. "I'm not surprised. You have decided to send Wicky to his death. Aha. Down to business." Everyone looked in the direction of the voice. The man wordlessly took him, making sure to tie and gag him up tightly, before slinging him over his shoulder and left the room, going in the direction of the master bedroom. Everyone followed, as if a flock of sheep following the shepherd. The man put the gagged man in the center of the mysterious circle, which everyone noticed had grew in size and became more intricate. The man rubbed his hands, then looked at the people around him. Misaki noticed that for a split second, his expression changed slightly. Was it... a look of sadness? She almost laughed. There's no way. He stuck us in this crazy game, why would he feel grief? The man turned back to the circle, and placed his two fingers on the circle, and the circle began to glow red again. The person tried to scream, the best he could at least under those gags, and eventually there was a sickening splatter. But this time, there was a strange whoosh of air, and the circle began to glow blue. The air grew cold, and the air kept blowing harshly around the room. Misaki held her hair down, which was flapping wildly with the strong winds. Eventually, the glow stopped, and everyone began to recover from the glare. The man stood up, and rubbed his hands on his coat. In the center of the circle was Ren, shivering and covered with blood. The man began to walk out of the room. "Looks like this was a success. You got your Ren back. And for goodness sakes...someone give him some clothes." He put his arm to his eyes, then walked around the corner and was gone. Everyone stood silent for a moment before someone ran out, probably to get the young boy some clothes. Others flocked around him, talking to him and making sure he was ok. She merely watched the commotion around her go on from the wall. Her eyes never left the boy. He turned his head, looking at her and locked eyes for a moment. It was then she moved her mouth, forming one word: Sorry.
  13. Well, IMO, not everyone can make something without any idea what the person wants. You may be able to, but there probably will be others that can't do that since they need at least a vague idea as to what their baby wants. As a result, I do as that EVERYONE make a wish list before the deadline. You can be as vague as you want (for all I care, you could put down one character's name and that be it), but at least have a wish list. BTW, adding on to Option 2, if we do it, there will be a deadline as to when you turn in your present. You are to meet it unless you have a very good reason not to. .... So more or less Option 2 but with numbers? =X
  14. <3 Thanks guys~ I'll be sure to ask one of you then once the sign up period has past. :V Well, there's no rule against it, so I don't see why not. But for your wish list, you should try and have at least one DC related thing on there.
  15. Second DCW Secret Santa Event! Since I know Secret Santa was a huge hit last year on DCW, AiSuigetsu and I have decided to run the event together this year (since sadly, I'm not sure if lashedcheek is going to come back in time (or at all) to run the SS event like she did last year =X) So, taken from her first Secret Santa topic with additions by me, here's some Secret Santa FAQ: What is Secret Santa? Secret Santa is a Western Christmas tradition, in which members of a group or community are randomly assigned a person to whom they anonymously give a gift. Often practised in workplaces, or amongst large families, participation in it is usually voluntary. It offers a way for many people to give and receive a gift at low cost to those involved. (Taken from Wikipedia) Who can join? Everyone, as long as you love DC and are willing to spend some time to make or search for a gift for your baby! The more, the merrier! Remember, once you sign up and the deadline for dropping out has past, it is obligatory to give a gift! Tears are a no-no during the holidays! What kind of gifts should we give? Anything Detective Conan, ergo, the possibilities are endless! You may write a fanfic, create an artwork like a banner, an AMV or a wallpaper, search for a DC song that your baby likes, etc. Can we create wishlists? Yes, you may! Just make a post here. I'll be constantly updating this post. As for what to put in it, put your top 3 DC characters you want (though, you may kindly suggest a scene you would like to see as well, though your santa may or may not do it). If you want, you may add some non-DC related things to your wish list. PLEASE MAKE A WISHLIST. It makes things easier for your Santa to know what to make you. So why are there two of you running the event? Well, originally, I wanted to run the event, but didn't want to know who I got (or who got me) since that takes out the surprise element, so I asked AiSu to help me out in that regard. And since she wants to participate and have the surprise element as well, we decided it'd make sense to split the list of people entering in half (as to how things will be randomized, that is to be voted about via poll). As a result, you will be receiving your Secret Santa PM from either me or AiSu. Dates to look out for! ~November 21st - Last day to sign up for the Secret Santa event! It will be closed midnight EST. After that, you cannot join, drop out or change your wish list. ~November 22nd-23rd - AiSu and I will send out PMs telling you who your baby is along with their wishlist. From the second you get your baby, you can start working on your gift. ~December 24th - Reveal! Everyone finds out who their santa was~ Dates as to when presents should be posted (or if they should just be PMed, etc.) will be added once I get an idea of what you guys want to do. Any suggestions/questions you have can be posted here or PMed to me/AiSu. ^^ This thread will be under change often, so check here for updates~ I'll also announce things via status for big things like deadlines and whatnot. ADDED: People who have turned in a wish list have been linked to it. 1. Misaki-chan 2. AiSuigetsu 3. Anime Girl 4 Eva 4. Monsi (dropped out) 5. HalfAngel (dropped out) 6. Stopwatch 7. Wicky 8. 16. Misaki grumbled as she shut her eyes to keep the light out. Ugh. Another day, another twist. Despite her slowness in getting up, she was out of her room and down the stairs ten minutes later. As she started her way to the kitchen, a voice called out, "Yo, Misaki. I've come to take that box back." Perfect. Starting off the day by having to see him. As she turned around, he stuck out his hand. As if by magic, the box that was once in her pocket was now in his hand. "Thank you." He gingerly opened the box, and a bright light enveloped the room. She quickly shielded her eyes, the brightness too much for her. When the light faded, the man sighed. "I always hate that. No need for the light. Hey, Misaki, here." He threw whatever was in that box into Misaki's hand. It was an eyeball, with a golden iris. "Since you kept it safe for so long, I suppose I'll let you use this thing once. It's the Eye of Truth, or whatever, apparently. You can look at one person and conclusively determine their alignment, with a 0% chance of error." She looked at it. Eye of Truth, huh? Who would have thought this was in there? Well, at least it's useful. He looked up at the clock on the wall, and began to walk towards the direction of the master bedroom. "I'm going to be late." As he started to walk away, Misaki followed him. Not because she wanted to, but because the kitchen was the same way as he was going. However, once he turned the corner, he disappeared. She looked around for a second, wondering where he went, but eventually decided it wasn't worth it. And so, twenty minutes later she was in the kitchen, accompanied with a cup of coffee and some toast. As she sipped out of the warm cup, a booming voice suddenly yelled out, "COME TO THE MASTER BEDROOM." Great. Just what I wanted. To see more of him. Cup in hand, she quickly stuffed the bread into her mouth and went down to the master bedroom. When she arrived, the man was sitting on the floor, a strange inscription by his feet. As soon as everyone was present, he asked, "I see everyone's got their votes?" Most of the people nodded. "Alright, let's do this." He rubbed his hands, and placed his right index finger on the circle. A bright red light covered the master bedroom, blinding the room. And then a scream pierced the air. The red light vanished, and a mess of flesh and blood was found on the inscription. The man sighed, then stood up. "I expected this to happen. I guess that fool wasn't enough, huh." He began to walk out of the master bedroom, and halted at the door. "Hey, here's the thing. If you happen to ever kill another person, I'll try this again. And I'll try to make it work next time. Speaking of which..." he turned around, and smiled. She looked to where he was looking and saw Wicky being restrained by two other members of the group. "Well, looks like you've got your next victim. I'll be in the basement." He exited promptly, leaving everyone there. The two who were restraining the Wicky person left to take them to wherever they held Aleksander. Eventually, everyone dispersed to do their own thing, leaving Misaki alone. She took out the eye, rolling it in her hand as she muttered, "I wonder who I should use this on..."
  17. I don't know whether to wonder why or just to laugh hysterically =X

  18. Oh good, so I'm not really stupid :D

  19. YOU'RE WELCOME :D

So did you recently change your pen name or am I really stupid for not noticing the change before? =X

  20. Meh, I don't really want to be popular. I like myself the way I am.

  21. (I though Parkur's vote didn't count =X) ----- Everyone looked around, wondering what to do with the tied vote. "You chose to conduct a vote, it seems. And it's a tie," said the voice, walking into the room as he spoke. He walked over, and put his ballot on the table. He looked around at everyone. "I believe the true master of the house gets a vote, no?" He looked around again, then turned his ballot face-up, revealing his vote for "Guilty". "Well, I guess that's that." He walked over to the pervert, who was oddly calm, and grabbed him by the neck. He began to glow, blinding everyone in the room. Misaki shut her eyes, the brightness overwhelming to her eyes. Once the light faded, he was not there. But In the man's hand was a glowing orb, which was hastily stuffed in his pocket. The man let out a sigh as he turned around to the group, an exasperated look on his face. "You do realized you killed an innocent civilian, didn't you? Your indecisiveness killed a fellow innocent!" He shook his head. "I'm going to have to punish one of you for this." He pointed his finger at Wicky, who crumpled in pain. He walked over to her, and whispered into her ear, "You didn't open the box, did you?" She merely shook her head. No point dignifying this man with an answer. "I see. I'll leave that box in your hands. Open it if you wish." He walked to the exit, and turned around once more, facing the group. "However, I admit you've shown more effort into justice by actually killing a suspect. That's not bad. As a bit of a reward...I'll bring one of the dead back to life. How's that for a trade? Either Ren or OTTD. Your choice. Of course, I can also attempt to bring back both, but that's a bit risky." He turned around. "If anyone needs me, I'll be in the master bedroom." He walked out into the hallway. No one followed him. As the room fell silent, some probably feeling guilty over killing a civilian, others wondering about the deal to bring back the dead. As for Misaki, she was in neither group. Her thoughts were on the box. Her fingers curled around it, tracing the corners with her nails. I don't see the point in keeping this. I'm not opening it...
