Because let's face it, it's not a series that can last all that long in the first place. If it was, believe me, Gosho would be writing it more often than he does. 'Cos it says in Golden Eye (in MK 4 somewhere) that Aoko's birthstone is the sapphire - that's September. (Ah yes, Ruby is born in July by the same info...that's my conclusion.)
