Eisuke 3 Report post Posted April 7, 2012 Steven King's short story '1922' and Agatha Christie's 'A Murder is Announced' and Koushan Takami's 'Battle Royale'. '1922' starts off really tense but then it just gets stupid trying to be scary. 'A Murder is Announced' was good. I managed to figure out the culprit half way through the book  'Battle Royale' was brilliant. I read the manga and wanted to read the original. It didn't disappoint. Wildheart888 170 Report post Posted April 8, 2012 That sounds good. I want to read some of the Arsene Lupin stories but they aren't in my local library  It is! Yeahhh..the one I'm reading is from the Special Collections room thing in the Reference Library. xD I can't take it out, only read it there. xP Maybe if you check online or something? Like a library catalogue? >.< If they have one....and then you can put it on hold, or, if it's reference only, uhh...do what I do and go there to read it? xDD Hope that helped...a bit. xP

Eisuke 3 Report post Posted April 8, 2012 a classmate of mine really liked that book...it is really good? Is that the one where a kid stays at an uncles house and at night the back door leads to some really nice garden? I read an extract of it in 5th class. Akazora 293 Report post Posted April 19, 2012 To Kill a Mockingbird and A Tale of Two Cities. Oooh, classics! I can't say "To Kill a Mockingbird" was amazing, but then again I read it ages ago. And I haven't read "A Tale of Two Cities", but it's a classic so it has to be good for something. Oh, yeah, and I'm still reading "Rebecca". No time to read another book on the side...
