Antiyonder 10 Report post Posted April 12, 2011 Aside from Case Closed (Yeah, I get the official US releases), I don't really follow any on going titles. But after some library checkouts I see this manga managing to hold my attention to the point where I'm looking to make it a regular purchase. Now the point of the series is the only thing I find unsuccessful. Yeah the writer wanted to subvert gender cliches and sterotypes (man who into male oriented stuff, and female who's into female oriented stuff), but in the process the characters follow the opposite extreme rather than breaking the sterotypes. Now I think the point would be better made if the character was into various hobbies from both genders (action/adventure stories, cooking, sewing). Though as a guy who reads Shojo Manga, I can partially relate. But regardless, the characters are entertaining and likable, and the story is just fun. So what's your take on it? Elizabeth Antoinette 4 Report post Posted September 5, 2011 I'm still reading Otomen. It's a pretty interesting read. I'll give my take as soon as I finish reading the chapters available.
