I can't help it... To save my life, the person I like who is too old and doesn't like me back is J-man. (it really is his nickname.. o.o) Kay. So Sunday after morning service I was walking around waiting on Mom and kind of hoping to run into J-man. Lucky me, I see him and he actually came up to me and asked me if I wanted to go to skate church. (I had NO idea that it was that day >.>''') so I was all "Possibly.." He makes a face (I don't think he likes indecisive people..) and said "It's either 'yes' or 'no'" so I said "yes". I figured I'd endure skating and being laughed at as long as I could hang out with him. So we stayed at the church a bit longer and I kept asking around to see if anyone had socks (this is a very awkward thing to do - believe me >.>'') and no one did.. Anyway, so we end up having my direct senpai who calls me protégé, his younger brother, and his dad and we all went to Wendy's. There, J-man paid for me and senpai (for the sake of this I'll call him that..), senpai's younger brother and himself. We ate there and it was kind of funny/awkward 'cause hardly anyone spoke. Afterwards we went and got batteries, then went back up to the church and hung out. Senpai tried to take a nap so J-man tied his shoe laces together while he was 'sleeping'. It was pretty comical Other funny stuff happened but yeah. Then we went to skate church where I stood in for someone for like fifteen minutes writing stranger's names down on name tags. Here J-man is all super awesome techie and knows tons about sound boards (he IS the sound man after all..) so he was all doing that stuff. I paid for socks (thank God they were selling them..) and forced myself to wear skates. Freaking 12 year olds were a ton better at skating than me. I joined the five year olds who were inching along the wall pathetically. At that time I find myself met by J-man. This is both good (I'm crushing pathetically over him, come on now.) and bad.. he's freaking amazing at skating T.T rollerblading is probably a better term, it wasn't ice skating, just an FYI. So I give him a look and say "Gee, I hope everyone is thoroughly amused now." Considering some ADULTS that I know well from church were making fun of me (not badly but stiiiilll) and he was telling me to get away from the wall 'cause it was the worst place to be. Now here comes the best part. He took my hand. HE TOOK MAH HAND. And he helped me skate. Of course I was horrible 'cause I was depending on him to move and I was bending over shaking and trying to get myself to successfully move my feet buutt.. STILL. So he helped me a ton and took a good 15 minutes (could be shorter or longer, I'm a bad at time estimates..) helping me learn. When I was holding onto him he said "It's all you, you holding onto my hand is just comfort" and I was like "yeah, it is a comfort" and he's all "I don't know why, it's all leathery" I couldn't reply to that 'cause I was about to faceplant into the floor but >.> yeah. Anyway so he left me to go do something else and I worked on making my way around. About halfway some kohais notice my predicament (I COULDN'T MOVE) so they skated really slow on either side of me to help me and make sure I didn't fall. Sweet kohais So I make it around almost to the place I had been when they first helped me and all of a sudden, someone begins pushing me by my hips really fast. I was kind of freaking out 'cause I had no idea who would be doing that and all of a sudden I hear "DON'T LEAN FORWARD, DON'T LEAN FORWARD!" Okay. So you can't blame me for being absolutely delighted to find out that it was J-man. I took a break after that. Later I came up to J-man and senpai when they had just finished an air hockey game, so senpai was all "why don't you play against her" so guess what.. we played against each other. 'Cept J-man seemed quite amused because I could hardly make it to the table in skates and every time I tried hitting the freaking puck I would slide back T.T I did horribly, but it was really fun. Skipping down to later events.. (how long has it taken me already to get this written out?) Well we returned our equipment to the church and we get in the car. It was like 7 almost 8 by then and we were both worn out. Now it was just me and J-man. I was expecting to go home, although obviously I didn't want to. Then he starts talking about how he really doesn't wanna go home, and I say that I don't either. So we sat in the car and looked up movie times. Finally we decide on one that was in like an hour or so. With nothing else to do and not having eaten, we decided to go find something to eat before seeing the movie. I called my mom 'cause I kinda have to do that XD and J-man was all "if it makes you feel better, I'll call my parents too" which was comical, 'cause he did and they had an interesting conversation. Of course, he had to make the point that he was four years above the age of having to call his parents, which I told him I knew. We ended up going to Quiktrip to eat since nothing else was fast and sounded good to eat. I took way too long to decide on what to get, and he ended up paying for my dinner o.o He's too sweet really, he'll go broke if he keeps doing that.. We sat in the theater parking lot for a few minutes as I finished eating and then stuffed my candy bar in my purse. (we had an interesting conversation about purses..) Then he paid for my ticket o.o and we watched a movie in 3-D. We were on our way home and I was glad it was late enough to hide my stupid grin. It's rare that I'll have a smile on my face for that long without trying. We talked about random stuff and by the time we got to the driveway, he was addressing why I talked down about myself. We talked about things along that line.. and I made him answer me honestly and he said that I didn't annoy him, and I hadn't made him angry (except when I put myself down..) and that he'd let me know if I annoyed him. (You have no idea what that means to me..) At that, I had to go since my sister and brother in law were needing to get out of the driveway. That's the closest I'll ever get to being on a real date.
