I really see the future of most schools using tablets and laptops instead of books and notebooks very soon. Nope, not at all. 10 years is definitely not enough time to "push off writing" Writing is an enormous part of nearly every culture. I've never liked the idea of a touchscreen laptop (dat angle do), and the keyboard kind of takes away from the sleekness of the tablet. It's really not much more than a tablet with more storage and an add-on keyboard. Haha, feel free to correct me if I'm wrong; I haven't actually looked into it.
