I'm not exactly sure what to do right now since we're waiting for Misaki and Mark... How about me and KKLT get taken to the hospital cuz the ambulance passed you on the way! Yay! Ugh... Where am I? Aeyra's mind was as foggy as a swamp on a humid morning. She could see the hustle and bustle in the small space, and realized she was in an ambulance. There was also someone else with her. Aeyra opened her eyes with difficulty, and realized that her companion was none other than KKLT. "Me and my friends were being taken to the police station after being hostages, and then the police officer was the kidnapper, and then we tried to get out of the car, and he caught me, and I don't know the rest. She couldn't see who was it because it was all blurry, but it was definitely a man wearing white. "Who..who's that?" KKLT questioned. "Legend-! ouc-" Aeyra was so relieved that KKLT had woken up that she strained herself a little bit. "...Tha-...that voice... Ae..Aeyra...?" KKLT choked for a moment before finding her words. She turned towards the direction of the voice. "Yep that's me." Aeyra replied. "That's the doctor you are talking to. We should... be safe for now." "What... happened to me...?" asked the confused KKLT, not sure how she ended up with a splitting headache. "Why am I...?" "When we found you, you were in such a huge pool of blood we thought you were a goner..." the doctor explained. "But luckily the blood didn't clot in your brain, or you would have suffered a concussion and of course, death." "Ah. So Im still alive then haha...?" KKLT laughed bitterly. "You were too lucky." the doctor continued. "You have lost too much blood. It's lucky we found you in time and transfused some blood into you..." "I was? I think I got hit by something hard... Then I blanked out. Im feeling the after effects now." KKLT turned to face the ceiling again. "Haha... the room.. .is spinning." she said jokingly. "Legend... What happened back there after you guys jumped off?" Aeyra asked. "Let's see... We called the police and told them what happened, a piece of paper with our picture on it floated down with a cross on you and a circle on me... Then BAM!" KKLT explained. "Wait... what happened to Misaki and Chelsea...? Were they sent in with me?" "Erm... I think not." Aeyra replied. "Maybe I should call them..." KKLT said as she felt around for her iPhone. Gone. It wasn't with her... Oh yea... she was holding it when she got knocked out. It should be back there at the fields where she fainted. "I thought that creepy guy had gotten rid of you. I'm glad you're fine now. But what happened back there?" KKLT asked. "Mark shot me in the head... I think..." Aeyra was a little hesitant on the reply. "HUH?! HE SHOT YOU IN THE HE- AH OW!" KKLT got too worked up and forgot about her head. "... urgh...what? He..he... shot you..?" "I'm not sure, but I think so... The doctor said I've got shot in the head..." Aeyra whispered embarrasingly. "... then how did you manage to survive...?" KKLT asked. "Ah. That don't matter any more since you're still alive haha. " "Yea... Welcome back too Legend." "Thanks... Erm... If you don't mind... I would like to... go back to...back... to..." before finishing her words, KKLT fell back into dreamland. --------------------------------------- Im in my own world now. Misaki-chan 164 Report post Posted July 9, 2011 With another death, comes another day! And then there was one... Like raindrops on the pavement, Mark's running footsteps were quiet. Bitter tears were dripping down his face. He wiped the tears with the sleeve of his black shirt. There! There they are! Misaki and Chelsea were a couple feet away. They were looking in all directions...looking for me... Like a flash, Mark took off. And before either Chelsea and Misaki can react, Mark tackles Chelsea to the pavement, and quickly knocks her out. After that, he hurls Chelsea's limp body over his shoulder, then turns to look at Misaki. Misaki's eyes burned with hatred and fear...she was standing her ground, not moving closer, but not retreating either. From his pocket, he provided a crumpled up piece of paper. He threw the paper at Misaki, turned around, and walks away. From behind, he hears the sound of unfolding paper, and a muffled gasp. Without even turning around, he says, "Now, only you remain." He turns around, and glares at Misaki. "Can you stand up alone? Or are you...afraid?" Misaki stares downward at the paper she had dropped. It was another piece of paper with everyone's picture...but everybody except for Misaki's picture was crossed out with red marker. When she lifts her head forward...Mark was gone... ================================================= Now, only you remain, Misaki. Can you do it? Of course I can. ---------- Misaki crushed the paper in her fist as she quickly glanced around once more in case he was still in view. He wasn't. She swore, "Damn it!" as she kicked the nearest hard object, which was a tree. In her head, what he said to her was replaying over and over like a bad record. Now, only you remain. Can you stand up alone? Or are you...afraid? She muttered to herself, "Of course I can. I need to....." With undying determination, she began to run. Her head moved from side to side, trying to find a trail or a clue to find the whereabouts of Mark and the others. Soon, she became tired, but her adrenaline and anger kept her going. After what felt like an hour, she slowed down and collapsed in the grass. She laid there, panting heavily, trying to catch her breath. She sat up and thread her fingers through her hair as she began to think. There's nothing! No clues, no trails, nothing! How am I supposed to find them if I don't have somewhere to start! She was frustrated. She had no clues, yet was expected to find everyone! Her anger and frustration were going to take the better of her and make her do stupid things if she didn't calm down. So she walked a little to find a mini-forest. She charged her way in and pushed everything aside that was in her way. After a few minutes she found a small clearing. "A quiet place to think," she mumbled, "Good." After taking out the piece of paper she was given from her pocket, she looked it over once more. Everyone's faces may have been crossed out, but technically Chelsea wasn't dead. And why would Mark kill his hostages now? There was no need. Her eyes widen when she thought of something. What if... What if they're all not dead? Her brain frantically tried to recall Legend's death. She had been hit in the head with a brick and had probably died on impact. But isn't it possible to survive being hit with a falling brick? Both her and Chelsea had assumed she was dead and hadn't checked. And there was no evidence that Aeyra was dead either. After all, they had just deduced that. But what if they were wrong! A smile of glee spread across her face as the thought of no one actually being dead raced through her mind. But that soon went away as another thought took over. As great as it is to know they're not dead, I still have no clue where any of them are.... Suddenly, something began to vibrate in her pocket. She took out the item to find it was Legend's iPhone. Oh yeah... I never got a chance to return it after I "borrowed" it. She stared at it for a second before answering. She said, "H-hello?" A booming voice yelled, "HEY! WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED? I HEAR YOU'RE IN THE DAMN HOSPITAL, BUT THE DAMN DOCTORS WON'T TELL ME WHAT HAPPENED!" She quickly moved her ear away as she waited for the person to stop yelling. When they were finished, she responded, "Um, this isn't Legend... This is her friend." A silence between the two was there for a few seconds before the person apologized, "Oops, sorry...) ^__^;;; Misaki asked, "But you said Legend was in the hospital, right? Do you happen to know which one?" "You don't know?" "Well, last I saw her, I thought she was dead." "DEAD?! What the HELL happened?!" "A brick fell on her head." "And she's still alive?! Wow...." "So, the hospital name please?" "Oh, it's XXXXX Hospital." "Kay, thanks! I call you when I find out her condition!" "Thank you! Bye!" After hanging up, her mind tried to remember where that hospital was. Hmmm..... I think that's nearby here, I remember passing it.... And with that, she began to run out of the clearing, out of the woods, and to the hospital. From an alleyway, a mysterious figure loomed out.... --------- That enough? "No kidding," replied KKLT, a bored expression on her face. "And we're not even allowed to do anything while our friends might be being killed this very instant! How dare they try and keep us in here!" "Wanna try an escape?" asked Aeyra, lowering her voice. There were no doctors in the room- it was rest time- but one could never be too careful. "I'm a little dizzy, but I think I could manage it. You?" "Definitely. The brick stung, but it's not a major injury. I wonder where it came from," she mused. "It's not everyday you get hit by a brick falling from no where." "No kidding. Who would have thought Mark would shoot me in the head? I'll kill him for that." A gruff voice on the other end said, "Preparations are ready. May I set them off?" Mark replied coldly, "Yes," and hung up.
