DCW...IRL?

It was a few days after the plane attack.

The news coverage finally died down, allowing police to fully investigate the scene. The evidence suggesting Mark was alive was piling up higher and higher...

Tired from a hard day at work, Inspector Gray sat down on the couch, and turned on the TV. His little 6-year old son quickly waddled into the room and jumped into his lap. Gray smiled wearily, and stared stroking his son's hair.

"More coverage on the recent crime wave," the woman on the TV said. Gray's eyebrows turned up in interest.

Ever since the plane attack, criminals have been stealing, assaulting, and kidnapping everywhere. When Gray first learned of the issue, he thought the police force would have their hands full for a long time.

That was not the case.

Gray was recently informed of a strange man wearing a black shirt that said, "In Mourning", with his whole right side of his face bandaged and his arms covered in black spots was walking in front of criminals, and effectively disabling them. However, he seemed to disappear very quickly once he had stopped the criminal.

The news broadcast talked about the strange man, calling him a "hero" for stopping criminals here and there. However, one of the men on the news broadcast commented on the fact that this man only stopped certain crimes, and not others.

The TV then showed a map of the city, with dots signifying locations where this man interefered with crime. In the western part of town, there were for dots, neatly placed such that if connected, they would make a rectangle. "Or a C," Gray thought wearily.

The central part of town wore three dots. At this point, the little kid, who had been oddly silent all this time, pointed at the screen and said, "Dad, doesn't this look like an upside-down V?" Gray looked at his son for a second, then said, "Looks like an A to me."

"Wait...A? C...A..." Gray's eyes quickly turned to the eastern part of town, which wore three dots. The positions of the dots were such that if connected, they would make a triangle. "Or a...L!" Gray's mind quickly put this together. "CAL!"

He rushed over to the phone, and dialed the police station. "I know this may sound strange, but get me into contact with the California Police, now!"

Interesting! I don't feel like writing right now though. I just wrote a 2,760 word rant on the Who's better for Shinichi forum. Or something above 2,500. Someone else write plz. ^^

Oh. Well, I'll guess I'll try to work on mine... But I have so many going on at once... TT.TT And unlike you Aya-chan, I haven't planned them out completely.

I only have them planned out to the chapter so far. And I have writer's block for most of them. I'm writing the DraMione one right now. :P

You're going to get Maurice involve in this? That's honestly my only explanation for you going to Canada...

A short piece from me before I go...

IdentityUnknown had calmed down by the time she got back to the forest. H had gone and the DCW members were discussing what to do next.

"Let's all get in the bus," Monsi said. "we can discuss everything there."

IdentityUnknown interrupted them. "We're getting in three different vehicles. A bus full of people who have recently been kidnapped draws too much unwanted attention. C has three inconspicuous bulletproof cars for us and..."

Her phone rang and IdentityUnknown picked it up. "What is it, C?" she asked. "This better be urgent."

IdentityUnknown listened, then grimaced. "I see," she said into the phone. "Keep tracking. And book us tickets. The next flight, if possible."

"Wait," Aeyra said, "where are we going? And what's C doing?"

"I asked her to get people to keep tabs on our friend, the kidnapper," IdentityUnknown said as she put away her phone. "Her father is well connected so she got people to work for the past few hours in search of clues. They made a breakthrough. Which means we're going where he's going."

"Why don't you just say his name?" Lia inquired. "You've been calling him the kidnapper this entire time. Isn't saying Mark much simpler?"

IdentityUnknown's face was blank. "I have my reasons," she said. "Now let's go. We have a plane to catch."

Feel free to use C's resources. She has plenty.

At the airport, IU noticed that Monsi is not getting his things from his bus. Out of curiosity, she asked him, "Hey, aren't you going to come with us or what? We have to book for our flights now."

Monsi answered, "Well, I'm afraid I won't, because I would be driving myself going there. Besides, I would have to leave some of my stuff at my aunt's house in New York."

"Hmmm...well, if that's the case, I guess we should get going, then. Just contact anyone of us as soon as you have arrived."

"I will." Then, Monsi looked at everyone else and said, "Have a safe trip, guys!"

"Same to you. Bye!", they replied in unison.

"Bye, guys!", Monsi finally said, before he finally drove away.

When, he arrived at his aunt's house in New York, he noticed a mail addressed to him.

Hmmm...wait, this is from the office! Oh, no, I've completely forgotten about it! I hope I'm not doomed yet.

The letter says:

Dear Monsi,

Sorry for the late notice but you won't be reporting for work yet. It seems that there had been some numerous consecutive crimes happening in New Jersey, and some of our softwares were allegedly involved in committing them. Because of that, FBI has issued an order to temporarily stop our operation for investigation. I deeply apologize for this, since you came all the way from the Philippines for work and you would see this. Don't worry, I'll inform you right away if you have to report to work. For now, enjoy your stay and explore New York.

After reading the letter, instead of being disappointed, Monsi was very thankful since he can still help his fellow DCW friends. After leaving some of his stuff and getting a map of going to Canada, Monsi continued his trip going to Canada.

After 1 hour of driving, he got bored of hearing nothing but the sound of the air conditioner and the engine of the bus, so he turned on the radio to hear some music. However, instead of music, he heard the news about a plane that has been hit by a rocket at the US-Canada border. According to the news, there are only three survivors--two female passengers and one stewardess. Monsi even heard that an Asian boy had strapped a parachute to the two female passengers, thus saving them, but not the boy. It was also mentioned that that Asian boy was identified as "Mark". After hearing the news...

AEYRA AND CHELSEA ARE ON BOARD THAT PLANE WITH MARK??? Could it be that the passengers who had been saved by Mark are Aeyra and Chelsea? That's impossible. And...DAMN I HAVE TO GET THERE QUICK!!!

Then, Monsi switched on the headlights in "high" and the hazard lights (to signify "emergency"... :P), and steps on the accelerator very hard, making him reach the speed of 100 miles/hour. When he has already entered Canada, he turned off the headlights and the hazard lights, then he reduced his speed to 50 miles/hour. After a while, Monsi saw someone wearing a T-shirt with the words "In Mourning" printed on it. Furthermore, that person looks the same as Mark. So, he decided to pull over and approach the guy to ask him some questions, but as a safety precaution, he brought his gun along.

Then, when Monsi saw the guy's face, he blurted out, "MARK??" icon_e_surprised.gif

"What?! Really?" cried Pyre, talking on the phone with Monsi. "You think you saw him? But that can't be- he's dead. He died on the plane crash!"

Everybody strained their ears curiously towards the hallway where Pyre had exited to take the call. They couldn't hear much, except 'What?!' 'dead' and 'plane'. But even these few clues had them alerted that Mark was the subject of the conversation. A few moments later, Pyre walked back into the hospital room, face pale and looking shaken.

"What happened?" asked Aeyra, concern in her brown eyes. "It's about Mark, isn't it?"

"Monsi. Monsi called, and he said he saw Mark just now. But that can't be because he's dead, right?" queried Pyre, looking as confused as everybody else. "You two were the only survivors of the plane crash. What's going on?"

"Perhaps... maybe this is like a 'Scar Akai' version of Mark!" piped up Chelsea, thinking hard. "Like a replacement, meant to scare us and stuff. But I don't get why they'd go through this much trouble..."

I have to ask, has EVERYBODY forgotten the fact that I was shot in the shoulder? =___= I'm not going to be pouncing (which I don't do; I glomp. There's quite a difference. :3) on people, especially since I never got medical attention. :mellow:
