I didn't know something was happening." Jim admitted sheepishly. She tried to flatten down her messy hair and walked to the group. She noticed Chaos had a murderous aura surrounding him. 'I don't want to be caught in that...' "Who are these people?" "This is our new teammate." Krev informed the girl. "Aria." The 15 years or so girl smirked. Jun nodded cautiously. "And this is our higher up." Nero grinned while gesturing to the older man with a mustache. -------- Okay. I'm leaving it at that... Someone else can come up with a name for him. And... Is it just be, or does he remind you of James Black for some reason? ...Nero is totally Kaito and Krev is Hakuba. Totally. IdentityUnknown breathed a sigh of relief. Probably just a stray cat or something. She'd been too cautious and lately her senses had sharpened -- she picked up the least bit of anything out of the ordinary. Still, IdentityUnknown carefully searched the bush in case there had been something there. She came up empty handed, which was good. Satisfied, she started walking again. Her decision had been rash, a word rarely used to describe IdentityUnknown, and she knew it. For some reason though, she didn't regret it. She knew she would never be able to forgive herself if she hadn't done it. On her shoulders was a waterproof backpack with food, water, and weapons. It was enough to keep her going for quite a few days, provided she rationed herself. She also had a few gadgets that she'd received yesterday at the hotel -- a listening device, GPS, and... IdentityUnknown glanced at her watch. It was different from yesterday, a dark, glossy blue with extra buttons. It would come in handy. ------ I have a plan for what the watch does, but I'm not going to tell any of you guys what it is. You can guess though. And again, more of a setting-the-scene post. KKLT decided. "This way." She pointed to his left. "Tsukiko, Monsi, and Lia, that way." She finished. "WAIT!" Tsukiko stopped us in our tracks. "I..I received a call from Shannon." She said. "What? What did she say?" "That BK invented this drug that erases memories." She started. "And they used it on Aka-chan and them?" Wildheart cut in. "Ye..yes.." Tsukiko finished. "Oh noo~!" Sayomi wailed. "Now what?" "Well..there's nothing we can do about it...just be careful if we bump into them..." Monsi put in. "But that's horrible!! We have to do something!!!" "How about this?" KKLT interrupted. "We find Mark and Pyre first, and then, we go and rescue them. What can we do now? We don't even know where they are!" "So.." Wildheart said. "When Mark calls and tells us where to go, we meet him and go find the others together. Even if he doesn't call, we go wait for him by the nearest Bridge tomorrow at six thirty. If he isn't there, we wait for the day. He'll show up." Sayomi sniffed. "Okay..." Lia nodded at the idea. "Alright. Keep that in mind, everyone. Let's hurry if we want to find them by tomorrow." She said as the group separated and went their own way. ------------------------------ I know it's short but... KKLT pulled out the piece of paper that Pyre left behind and read it again, then took out a lighter and burnt the note. "There are no cars around at this timing. She should be on foot. Let's go." KKLT started to run with the other two girls following. *Bzzzzzz* Pyre's phone started to vibrate. Eh?! KKLT immediately stopped to pick it up. A message came in. "A... message?" "Who's it from?!" Sayomi asked. "From.... C..." KKLT read it out. AH! Its Pyre's friend... Everyone crowded around KKLT to read the message. "Jean... asked me to compile some information... and send it to you guys..." KKLT read it out. "Ah! This is...?!" KKLT couldn't believe that they actually managed to get such detailed information about the syndicate. Everyone continued reading the information that C had sent. "Looks like everything is as Tsukiko says. Those three have joined the evil syndicate..." KKLT sighed. She did not know whether to be mad or glad. She should be mad that they have agreed to join the syndicate, but at the same time, she is relieved that they hadn't died, or she'll be living her rest of her life in guilt. "But... " Sayomi continued. "But... Is BK ... really...?" "I guess so..." KKLT replied. "If this information is true, then what BK did when she was with us is a definite betrayal. It's a miracle she's still alive." "I can't believe that BK is..." Sayomi stopped in the middle of her sentence and sighed. "Anyways, with these, we now know that those three are alive. There's nothing much that Pyre can do for now. We should find her fast." "What's going on?" WH asked. "Who is BK?" "Ah." KKLT just realised WH had not met BK. "She was with us for a while before she left. But we never knew about her identity and she never told us." "Okay... I see..." WH answered. "Yep." "So now do we head back to the hotel?" "No. We continue to find Pyre. The hotel is dangerous now." KKLT hoped that there is no problem with Mark's call. "We have to find her as soon as possible." KKLT took up the phone and sent a reply to C. After a few minutes, C replied back with a number. "Great." KKLT keyed the number into her own phone and dialed. Beep... beep beep...
