Wow... No posts for nearly a day... O.o and here's me thinking I missed 20 pages of new stuff during my boring day trip to NY... Remind me not to ever go watch US Open qualifiers again. I nearly fell asleep...

Aeyra was still smiling the moment the first bullet shattered the supposedly bullet-proof windows, and there was a sinking feeling in her stomach that this wasn't just your ordinary everyday bullet. Also, it probably wasn't good (or healthy- healthy meaning good for your general well-being) if bullets were now being classified as ordinary everyday things. But anyways, Aeyra quickly unbuckled her seat belt and flung herself as far from the bullet as possible, just in time to get out of the direct hit of an explosion.

She heard frantic yells, but realized from the fact she wasn't burned, her hair wasn't singed, and that her skin hadn't been pierced by shards of flying glass, that this wasn't really a normal explosion either. [Damn this stupid Organization...[/i] she thought darkly, coughing in the white smoke-like screen of mist that was spreading quickly through the van. Now bombs are normal too... Another cough, and she felt tears stinging in her eyes. Tear gas. They were forcing them out.

Nero had nearly been caught off-guard by the bullet. Keyword being nearly. With his bright caffeine-alert eyes directed out the front window, he'd managed to catch a glimpse of a sniping rifle pointed at- no surprise!- the van. Thinking quickly, his analytical mind deducted the possibilities- were the bullets meant to kill? Maim? Incapacitate? Or to lure out the prey, prey being them?

Kill? Well, they have thar memory wiping machine... At the very least, I'm too valuable an asset to lose... he thought, completely honest to himself. Maim... Possibly, but they wouldn't want permanent injuries. Incapacitate? Quite likely, maybe it's one of those gas-releasing bullets. We could be asleep in seconds. Lure out? Anyone in their logical mind would flee the car, and we'd be easy targets for snipers... To kill if necessary, and the incapacitation or maiming is still quits, quite possible. Unfortunately for Neeo, neither his mouth or body could react to the bullet as his lightning-fast mind, and before he could shout "Sniper!" the bullet had already been shot through the window, burying itself in the far side of the car, releasing white gas with a huge bang.

Explosion sound effects for purposes of fear... We're being lured out. This is tear gas. Nero coughed and elbowed Chaos, mouthed the word 'distraction' and ran out of the vehicle stealthily, careful to be hidden by the van while Chaos arrogantly sauntered in plain view of the snipers, spinning his specialty gun around his finger, swinging it into the air and skillfully catching it, taunting the enemy. Their eyes would be locked on Chaos while Nero prepared his own weapon, a powerful rifle designed to fire bullet-shaped capsules that would release toxins, gases, or simply explode on first contact out of the barrel. That tear-gas bullet was his invention after all. And he'd built the gun himself, light, powerful, and easy to assemble and disassemble- but only if you knew it as well as Nero did though. He'd burned all instructions.

He smiled as the final piece clucked in place.

Chaos was running back and forth, turning flips and mid-air rolls to avoid bullets, a much used skill in his world. When it cams to distraction, his acrobatics were the most useful. What could piss a sniper off more than a snotty, cocky, prancing teenage boy who was obviously making fun of them and screaming "Screw you!" every once in a while? Nothing that Chaos knew of.

Inside the van, Brise fetched Nero's extra bag, sensing the most important item was in it. The memory flash bomb as it had been dubbed. Nero was often requested during the day to join in the research weapons facility... He'd skillfully adapted the memory eraser into a capsule. There were five in the bag- if he aimed well enough, one would do everything. Covertly, she handed Nero the capsule, and he gave her a grin.

"I knew you'd bring it to me," he muttered as he took aim, eyes on the angry faces of snipers. "Looks like they're already dodging hails of bullets. They're wearing protective armor though, guess the bullets aren't find the chink. Luckily this only needs visual contact within a fifty foot radius."
