DCW...IRL?

i dont even no what's going on in the story cuz its so looooooooooooong TTxTT

Yeah... I'm not going to even try to summarize it... Too long for me to. I tried looking at it from the beginning again, and then I was wondering how Pyre freaking out over people seeing her read DC turned into this action thriller type story. Once again, I blame Moho.

And thanks for the kind words everyone! I simply love writing about the four! And there's something just irresistible about Krev and Brise together... And I simply can't stop writing about Nero or Chaos and Laela. This morning I was actually trying to write, but my brother came, I never had a chance to post it, and it wouldnt work anymore anyways. But it was ChaosXLaela involving a conversation about cherry blossoms... It was a flashback for when we enter DC. (as in the capitol of the US)

Still, we have to (attempt) to stay on track. Don't get too sidetracked by romance.

Yeah, I know, but right now my head is filled with fluff so you'll have to forgive me. I'm more of the tiny details person here than the one who advances the plot... Although any plot I have seems to be Nero or Chaos centric. Character development and all that junk. But once we get to the FBI, what do we do? Gather up an army? *thinks* Brilliant plan! (at least I hope it is) I'll just write a quickie here...

*****

In the hours past the second random sniper incident, everybody had been on edge. In other words, they were two inches away from falling over the stupid edge. Chaos was almost unscathed- he'd only needed a couple of bandages. Nero had eliminates any possible threats in a matter of seconds once his best friend had been taken down. However, Chaos hadn't spoken a word since his unexplained collapse, and it was decided to just let him be.

It was early in the morning now, very early in the morning. Nero had eagerly volunteered to keep an eye on their surroundings- wouldn't want a third sniper attack to take them by complete surprise- and now he was the only one awake. Good. He didn't want his plans exposed yet.

The Internet was a very nice thing, he thought to himself, taking out his laptop and laying it on his knees, carefully balancing it with one hand while the other grabbed his cup of mocha. And the Organization happened to have a very convenient way of communicating to all it's members... Through private messaging. Nero knew exactly how the system worked- you could force members below you to show any possibly incriminating PMs, but you weren't allowed to do so to anyone higher. He was the administator of the site- it was unhackable, and it probably wasn't the smartest move to reveal that one of the Organization's trump cards had betrayed them.

Nero quickly pulled up a list of all the members younger than twenty-one, sending out one big PM to them all. The younger members were the vast majority of the Organization, the backbone so to speak, and this kind of message was one that had been unspoken through the years, though it was obviously existent right below the surface. Nero called for a mass rebellion.

**********

How was the idea? I figured we needed the army, and I got the idea from Maximum Ride.

Well, I guess I'll get off my lazy butt and do it since I haven't written for a few days....

-------

After traveling for five days, they had arrived at their destination: Washington DC. After the sniper incidents, everyone was on the edge, but thankfully, nothing happened after that. As the bus drove through the streets of the capital of the US, Misaki marveled at the sites. She had never been to the city, so everything always seemed to amaze her. When they stopped for gas, she stepped outside along with the others and breathed in the fresh air and stretched. The sun felt nice on her bare skin and it felt great to be outside. Monsi filled up the tank, and after paying, the group was off.

At first, she was super excited to see the FBI HQ. Being the huge mystery geek she is, it was exciting. But after a hour, that excitement started to die down. She asked, "How much longer~?"

Monsi replied, "We're almost there!"

"Kay~!"

True to his word, the bus soon stopped in front of a large shiny building. A stone sign identified the building as the one they wanted. He parked the bus before everyone got out. They began to walk to the building and reached the entrance a few minutes later. Standing in the way was a large security guard. She noted a semi-automatic gun showing on his hip. He looked down at them and stated, "Kids aren't allowed here."

Grace said, "We're here to see John. It's about something important."

The guard opened his mouth to say something, but a woman, about in her thirties, came out the door and exclaimed, "Grace! Sam! Will! You're here! Jack, this group is with me. Let them in."

Jack looked at her for a moment before stepping aside and letting the group in. They began to follow the woman into the building. She introduced, "Well, I'm Sarah, nice to meet you! I'll be taking you to Mr. Freeman, who's in Conference room #7. He's been awaiting you."

After walking up a few flights of stairs ("Too many people to fit in an elevator and we don't want to lose any of you," she had said) and down a few hallways, they reached a pair of large doors. She opened the doors and popped her head in before saying, "The group is here."

A jolly voice responded, "Well, send them in!"

She opened the door wider to let everyone in. In the room sat an man, about in his fifties. "Hello," he greeted, "I am John Freeman. I've been expecting you."

Ta da~.

Then I shall write!

*****

Nero narrowed his eyes. He'd heard of this man before, how could he forget? His appearance was also familiar- that wide smile, mousy brown hair, and marine-colored eyes to top it off. He was supposed to be their next target, the one to kill after those 'meddling kids' as the little group was referred to (Nero couldn't help but snigger as he recalled days watching the cartoon show), but Nero hadn't really taken the time to divulge it yet. Oh well, no need to tell someone you were planning to murder them before you're introduced.

"Have you?" asked Aeyra dubiously, eyeing John's cheerful smile with uncertainty. The strange jolt of happiness seemed so strange... Like a bolt of lightning out of a clear sky. Weird.

"Of course! We've heard stories about all of you! Especially him." He jerked his head in Nero's direction. "Future boss of the whole syndicate, eh? Impressive, impressive, but I'm very happy you decided to jump ship. Makes things loads easier for us." He gave the blond boy a wink. Nero fidgeted uneasily.

"Future boss?" repeated Chelsea skeptically, trying to wrap her head around the meaning of the words. "Nero, really? And you never told us?"

Nero darkly muttered a sentence containing 'didn't seem important' and 'doesn't matter', but there were a few curse words uttered in such a low tone they were impossible to hear. He cleared his throat, speaking louder. "You didn't ask. They didn't know either." At second glance, Aeyra noticed Krev and Brise did look quite shocked, and even Chaos in his moody state seemed slightly surprised. "I didn't want to tell you because I knew this was the kind of reaction I'd get!"

"We're not mad or anything," assured Brise, patting the slightly grumpy Nero on the shoulder with the concern of a caring sister. "Just taken aback, is all. Not that we ever doubted your skills," she added hastily, catching Nero's death glare.

"Now, now, Nero, no need to maim anyone else," laughed John heartily, a cunning glint in the corners of his eyes. "I expect you're all here to get help from us, correct?" There were bated breaths and nods from around the room. "I'm sorry to disappoint, but if we were in any shape to retaliate, we'd have done so long ago." Now there were collective groans. "But never fear, I have some interesting tidbits to share."

"Like what?" inquired Krev, obviously bored already. Brise rolled her eyes affectionately- he would be bored.

"How about your pasts?" Four pairs of ears perked up.

******

It doesn't take a genius to figure out which four. :P If you're planning on writing next, I'd suggest that they didn't join the Organization until at least around the age of 10- a memory erasing prototype was probably developed by them. Good night!

Yeah, but GOOD names? xP

Or is it just me that can't come up with them? *sigh*

Edit: NICE!! xD

Well, if the books don't help, I use the internet.

 I thought I was meeting Mark and you guys were being shot at...

Our ex-Org members defeated the snipers and I skipped about two-three days so we could get on with the story.

EDIT: Sorry for the double post! My bright brain thought I wasn't the last to post... =____=;;;;

All right. *sighs* I'll stop being lazy and write a chunk. Won't include myself too much because that would just hinder the story.

------

"Let's start with the easiest one...the one I know the best," John started. His spun around in his chair, settling his gaze upon four eager, yet slightly apprehensive eyes. The chair finally stopped moving as John turned towards Krev. Krev seemed a little surprised and the bored look on his face disappeared immediately.

"Krev, though you may not remember, you joined the Organization at the age of..." John took out a file and placed it on his desk. "Ten.

"Most of you were recruited around that age," John added, "with the exception of one of you. You all had shown great potential -- and connections. In fact, Krev, you were never intended to be recruited. You were initially...kidnapped."

Krev stiffened, as did the others in the room. Brise sent a slightly sympathetic look towards him. Krev focused his gaze on John and did not comment.

"Your name was Joshua (though you were called Josh) and your father was an enemy of the Organization. They thought perhaps they could eliminate him with you in their hands," John continued.

IdentityUnknown looked worriedly at Krev. His face betrayed no emotion, but IdentityUnknown was sure that inside, he was a mess. She wondered why John had started everything off this way...and why he had the file on his desk yet never looked into it. Perhaps it was just that he knew the material rather well...though IdentityUnknown had her own suspicions.

"Your memories remained intact for a period of a month. The Organization was unwilling to kill you as your father simply wouldn't give up on chasing them. Meanwhile, you were crafty. You had been trained from a young age by your father in case anything like this were to happen. You picked locks, escaped, and tried to get in contact with your family. After the first two escapes, your security was high and the guards had threatened you several times with death. The Boss, however, took this as an opportunity. He called in the memory-wiping team and managed to pull off a successful job. You were the lab rat of that experiment, and apparently it was successful.

"Now, does any of this strike anything in your memory?"

Krev seemed uncertain. "I...don't know," he said, shifting slightly from foot to foot. "Some of it sounds like I could've done it, but it doesn't seem to be striking any chords."

"Well then," John said, looking slightly disappointed, "I suppose we'll have to show you what was produced by the Organization at the time." He waved his hand at Sarah who was standing off to the side. She turned off the light and pressed a button on a remote control.

It was a video of a young boy who looked exactly like Krev, just younger. He stared defiantly into the camera, his mouth gagged and his arms tied behind his back. He seemed a little worn and beaten up but oddly enough, calm. His arms shifted left and right and IdentityUnknown thought she recognized the action.

"This is Joshua. He has been at our base for over 2 weeks now. Abandon your efforts immediately and he may be spared. Currently he is in a relatively good state. However, he may not remain that way for long -- kid! What are you doing?!"

The camera clattered to the ground. There was yelling and scuffling, the sound of a door opening, the patter of feet. Then the video turned off.

"One of your escape attempts," Josh said calmly. "I remember your father was proud of you when it happened."

Krev stood there, rigid, his face slightly pale. "That seemed...so...familiar..." he whispered under his breath.

John looked at him for a while, an unreadable expression on his face. Then he turned away. "Brise, let's handle your story next."

------

 Have fun with the story.
