Regarding Shuichi's disguise (Okiya) and Haibara

I've been thinking about the usage of Shuichi's disguise and I have a few questions :

 

• Why not reveal Haibara his real identity?

 Although not 100% confirmed, it is believed that Shuichi vowed Akemi to protect Shiho. Why is he taking so long to reveal his identity? They likely knew each other and in a way, they're both pretty similar (personality-wise). Wouldn't their bond be more beneficial to plan the take down of the organization? 

 

• If he wants to hide it from her, he's not doing it too well.

I feel like Subaru is always giving her hints that he was her sister's boyfriend. He's always using phrases that give up his identity like the "Don't make that kind of face" or "This is my area". Does he realize he's doing it? I feel like Shuichi is really cautious about what he states or not, and to this point I feel like he's testing or toying with her. Which takes me to the next point:

 

• Haibara has stated before that she hates it when people keep secrets from her or try to keep her out of matters regarding her 

She's also stated a few times that she doesn't like people patronizing her or mistaking her for a damsel in distress. Wouldn't the Okiya disguise secrecy damage her trust in Shinichi? I find the "he likes Sherlock Holmes therefore he's a good person" to be a really lame excuse for someone as smart as Haibara; it's almost insulting, and Gosho doesn't further this matter in spite of having a pretty shady dude (let's not forget the B.O pressure he made her feel) living next-door and "just passing by" with a pot of stew here and there.

 

I'm aware that the Okiya Subaru disguise is incredibly helpful for Shuichi to execute all his plans. I'm also aware of the fact that when confronting Haibara about it, he would have to tell her that he was the reason Akemi was killed (although the reason still remains kinda vague). As much as that would hurt, I feel like this whole Okiya Subaru disguise would hurt her even more in the end. Like heck, she's suffered enough.

in your opinion, what would hypothetically happen if Akai Shuichi revealed his true identity to Haibara? When would be convenient to do it?

I know this was posted like half a year ago, so I don't know if the OP will even read this, but I would like to reply nonetheless, because Akai finally facing Haibara is something I really look forward to.

 

I wonder as well why Akai thinks it's a good idea to hide his identity from her and just live next door in disguise. I get that he's probably not ready to face her yet since they have a lot of baggage, but maybe being upfront towards her from the get-go would have been better than acting shady and scaring the hell out of her.

As pointed out already she's way too smart to just take him at face value and has even called him out directly for acting suspicious (for example when she outright told him that she suspects he's eavesdropping and bringing food over as an excuse to join in (file 948)).

Yeah, I wonder if she'll be disappointed in both Conan and Agasa that they kept this from her.

I don't know what will happen, but this has so much potential to provide a lot of drama and trigger something of significance. I'm really eager to see how Gosho will handle this. It could really go down either way a.) It will just go smoothly, they'll talk things out and make peace with their past b.) It will cause some kind of argument or even lead to a rift between her and Conan.

I don't know, but I hope it will happen soon. Maybe Gosho wants Akai to save Haibara and then reveal his identity afterwards. In that case their "reunion" would probably go smoothly, meaning that there won't be some kind of argument.
