The story is set in Tokyo. The world's largest spots festival "WSG: World Sports Games," which only takes place once every four years, is scheduled to be held soon. And it is also announced that the world's first "vacuum superconducting linear" train will start running from Nagoya to Tokyo in conjunction with its opening ceremony. Then, the event's prominent sponsors are kidnapped at a party venue. Shuichi Akai is monitoring the incident and the FBI is waiting for an instruction from him. Meanwhile, Conan finds a connection between the kidnap and the abominable WSG successive abduction happened in Boston 15 years ago, which was also investigated by FBI. Is this just a coincidence? What will happen in Tokyo where people are gathering from all over the world?

The 23rd film The Fist of Blue Sapphire director Chika Nagaoka (Uta no Prince-sama The Movie: Maji Love Kingdom) continues to serve as director on a screenplay by Takeharu Sakurai, who worked on the 17th, 19th, 20th, and 22nd films.

Obviously, COVID-19 has delayed many films, and Movie 24 is one of them, but it is key to know just when the Movie will actually hit theaters—and in this case, that info is available.

 

Back in June, Movie 24 was delayed to due COVID-19. It was announced on Twitter through @conan_file (a verified account), and through the official movie website—both had a message from Goshō.

Then, shortly after the announcement of the delay, it was announced that Movie 24 would release in April 2021. It was announced again via @conan_file, as well as via the official movie website, both with another message from Goshō.

Well, the movie isn't just him, but who knows what this'll mean for Movie 25. Since there's no precedent for this, I assume they're still working on Movie 25, but who knows? If they are working on it, does this mean Movie 25 will be ready for release by April, too?

For the first time in 24 years, we have postponed the release of the film... and to be honest, it has taken a huge toll on us.

I haven't seen the finished film yet, so I'm hoping to build up my excitement for the release of the film again from here.

Shot of Sakura (Cherry Blossom) trees, and then it pans up to MPD Headquarters.

 

"Hey guys! It's our turn!"

 

"Yeah!"

 

It then pans up to the sky, flashes to the DC logo, and Sakura petals float in front of the logo before it cuts to a release date of Golden Week 2022. 

 

Context clues aside, it would seem this is Jinpei Matsuda talking to his fellow protagonists of Wild Police Story (Rei Furuya/Bourbon, Hiromitsu Morofushi/Scotch, Kenji Hagiwara and Wataru Date).
