Sherlock Lupin 41 Report post Posted September 3, 2011 Here's a new question for the yuri fans: why? What makes you guys like yuri/shoujo-ai?
AiSuigetsu 110 Report post Posted September 3, 2011 I would give you a rep right now, but I can't. Sucks... I totally agree with you. I hate yuri, and I'll admit that I do enjoy a nice yaoi fic. It's the graphic pornos that make yaoi and yuri have such bad reputations, but it's the kind hearted and sweet fanfics that make me do a double-take. Oh, and Ai? I have read one yuri fanfic, but it was genderbent. Don't worry, I did it for you

Black Demon 466 Report post Posted September 4, 2011 Neither, I don't puke though. I don't hate gays or lesbians in general, however, that doesn't mean I like Yaoi or Yuri...

Rukia Kurosaki 357 Report post Posted September 4, 2011 @ Par: I thought that was true. Psychologically speaking, a person would like a story with two people of the gender they are attracted to.

Sherlock Lupin 41 Report post Posted September 4, 2011 the "2 is better than 1" thing Moho.. you're a guy. Ó.Ò'' I know a bunch of guys who like yaoi. Two of them are even fanfiction writers, if you catch my drift. Nothing explicit, but they do write pretty good boys love. They're the ones who got me hooked. KAISHIN, HEISHIN AND HAKUHEI FTW!!! KAISHIN FOR THE WIN!!! HAKUHEI EVERYDAY!!! And also... something I've heard from the anti KaiShin fans:"HEISHIN...CAUSE THEY'RE NOT KIN"

Aeyra 260 Report post Posted September 4, 2011 Well, I definitely prefer yaoi to yuri, but I'm trying to shake my prejudice against lesbian couples. It's love no matter what genders are involved, right?

Aeyra 260 Report post Posted September 4, 2011 True, I just can't bring myself to shake that prejudice yet though... Neither can I, but I'm trying my hardest. Gay/Lesbian is just the newest form of prejudice in our world, it kind of makes me think of racism. People don't like people who are extremely different, and I think even if most of yaoi/yuri is fan material, it's good to see people shaking off those prejudices. One day, we'll all look back on this, and it'll just be normal. Like I said, it's love no matter what genders are involved.
