Lia. 45 Report post Posted September 28, 2011 Oh man I like that website for giving all that useful info. This ^ The U.S has a whole lot of beef with WikiLeaks. Yup. On the news there's an article about the U.S. interfering into China's business with Hong Kong. It's actually quite disturbing.
tengaku squared 291 Report post Posted September 28, 2011 Truthfully, I wondered where the U.S went wrong.

AJ M. 204 Report post Posted September 28, 2011 Spending. That's where it went wrong, moho. Exactly. Our generosity in helping other countries with foreign affairs and our profuse spending on foreign goods are extremely costly. Now we are billions of dollars in debt. tengaku squared 291 Report post Posted September 29, 2011 Spending. That's where it went wrong, moho. Spending is good in moderation, because the ends can actually make up for the means. But there are so many things that are good in moderation, but bad in bulk.

Lia. 45 Report post Posted September 29, 2011 Exactly. Our generosity in helping other countries with foreign affairs and our profuse spending on foreign goods are extremely costly. Now we are billions of dollars in debt. I sort of disagree with this part ^ Based on what I learnt last year, the U.S. apparently borrows money from other countries to fund their own affairs (eg. Oil/Gas/Petroleum, paying off the national debt, etc) rather than helping other countries in need. Although they would meddle with the affairs of other countries, their 'help' does not really benefit anyone... it was said that their help amounted to other countries hating the U.S for their inconsiderate interference. Well we are involved with foreign affairs because of our "generosity". Of course I realize that our help is for our own selfish reasons. Everything you said just reinforced my argument. IdentityUnknown 216 Report post Posted September 29, 2011 Everything blames it on the president. Guys, the president really has no say in anything relating to laws. This. The president sometimes is unable to fulfill promises because he is incapable or does not have the resources to make them come true. Yup. On the news there's an article about the U.S. interfering into China's business with Hong Kong. It's actually quite disturbing. The U.S., in my opinion, interferes with pretty much everything. Obama tried "persuading" (or so I've heard) China to raise the value of the RMB (or Yuan or whatever you call it) because too many people in the U.S. were going to China to manufacture their products and export it back to the U.S. Clarification please. Are we specifically talking about U.S. politics or global politics?

IdentityUnknown 216 Report post Posted September 29, 2011 Is there a true "side" in politics? Everything is so corrupted that you can't exactly be sure of who's ground you're standing on. :/

IdentityUnknown 216 Report post Posted September 29, 2011 True. And to think that I thought that the country I'm a citizen of is the only corrupt country in the world... Every country is corrupt. It just depends on how much and how well they hide it. Human nature will always be evil. It's not exactly something we can change.
