I remember taking meteorology in my first year of SciO. I personally didn't think the test was that difficult because I had some really thorough notes for it. The thing that tripped me up during the test were the weird graphs they incorporated. However, this was a while ago, so these details are only from the top of my head. I think you'll be okay. You're also allowed to bring a double-sided note sheet for most events, which tend to help a lot. Other events may allow you to bring an entire binder (like for rocks and minerals). I have an app on my iPad that lets you go on a 3D tour of the galaxy, and it's cool, but I can't imagine having to use those kind of things to research/find information.
