She has a great voice, can write good music, can usually instill meaning in lyrics (I get the feeling that sometimes she tries too hard and fails, and other times she falls short) and can play the piano really well... I would like to see her drop the autotune and let her voice do its thing, because she really does have a fantastic voice and it seems that he has had extensive training in both piano and vocals. So... I really think that she should go back to doing it the old fashioned way. I will say this... of the top popular artists (Adele is the exception) she sounds the best live. She does whatever she wants and doesn't give a damn about whether she is loved/despised by her audience (she does have a heart for her fans though). Lady Gaga is a talented piano player and has a naturally amazing voice (unlike other mainstream artists out there today). Although her music videos and live performances are provocative and controversial, her flamboyant style and personality give her the qualities of being a popstar. I just find her outfits and videos a little..wats the word for it...over the top? inappropriate? weird? lol idk. it's good to be different and stand out, but she takes it a little too far imo. I've argued for eons that she'd do perfectly well even if she dropped all of the stuff that goes along with her songs. I don't hate her music, as there are certainly some songs that I do enjoy, but I'm not her biggest fan. However, I absolutely understand why she has the fanbase that she does, and absolutely respect her as a musician because she's damn good at what she does. In fact, it wasn't "Just Dance" or "Poker Face" (which is one of the worst songs I've ever heard from a decent artist) that got me to notice her, it was "Paparazzi", which was her first single that really utilized her singing voice more. The other songs of hers that I like are "Alejandro" and "Telephone", which is too fun to dislike. Otherwise, I don't hate her music, but I don't love it either. Someone compared her to Cyndi Lauper, and while I find that a little hard to agree with (Cyndi's voice is absolutely stunning and one of the most underrated voices in all of music), I could certainly see how someone could make the argument. She's not a bad person... The song "Judas" only wants to make us realize that we all tend to give in to temptation. But her song "Telephone"... seems kinda obscene to me. Her costumes are well..... crazy......the way she act make her look like she need to be out in a mental hospital. I'm sorry to make any one feel bad by reading this. She is a very creative artist/singer but she need to keep it at a certain level and not to over do it. Most of her songs are amazing with nice beats.... I just really don't like YOU AND I.
