He does...

He definitely does, the number one being that he doesn't talk about his suspicions or thoughts with people so that they go and ruin Conan's plans. See Agasa letting Vermouth and Jodie over after Conan forgot to mention Araide and Jodie were suspicious. Haibara always complains how Conan is strangling everyone around him with his secrecy, and she's got a point.

But yeah, Conan is overpowered knowledge wise.

Shinichi has flaws. He is arrogant, overconfident, and doesn't tell his allies what he is thinking and in doing so hurts them and ruins his own plans. Haibara commented how he was choking others. His silence has backfired more than once. The most glaring was when he did not tell Agasa his suspicions about Vermouth, which resulted in Agasa inviting over Vermouth to treat Ai. If Jodie wasn't there, Vermouth may have tried to kill Haibara because Conan was out at the time and Vermouth had the opportunity. He never apologized either if I remember correctly.

I still think Shinichi/Conan is annoying, especially because he never seems to learn from these mistakes (still not telling anyone about Scar Akai in the Bourbon arc!), but flawless he is not.

I don't like Kaito much however, although that's mostly because I have disliked most of Kaitou Kid's recent cases (Pretty much all but the first three or so) rather than his character. Either they were stupid (GLASS pistols tricking people, WTH?), too easy (Kaito's teleportation), or g-ddamn wordplay (anything with thrice damned Kichiemon).

I didn't know that she had commented on that. XD LOL Haibara SOCK IT TO HIM! Okay, so he DOES have one flaw that has been commented on by Haibara. Good.

And yes, he pisses me off often with the way he treats people. He thinks he's a hero. Literally speaking he is- but the actual traits of a hero he lacks.

And I prefer Kaito's character over his. Kaito is lighthearted and happy. Shinichi's a tight @$$. XD But I agree on the cases as well. Gosho... bad bad Gosho.

Haha! I see that it's not just me but others also have problems in choosing their favorite!It took me quite some time to settle for Shinichi..... so i thought, why not pester the others into thinking about this as well!

I don't really like Shinichi very much by himself (even though I am a fan of the Shinichi x Ran pairing) but, if I have to choose between those 2, Shinichi is way better than Kaito Kid in my opininon. Kid is annoying as hell, the fact he never went to jail makes him feel and behave like he is the king of this world. A short jail sentence would do him good in my opinion.

I'm not a big fan of either of these two. Both have personality types and flaws that I don't appreciate.

  Okiya/Shuuichi is my favorite male character. And Bourbon, but only the ooc version from my fanfic xP

 BUT I feel that Shinichi has matured more as Conan and developed as a character into a better person than he used to be. So of the two I'd pick Conan/Shinichi. I don't appreciate the 'Gentleman Thief' shtick.
