Um, Shouldn't you create one topic about your website, And just announce in that topic or in your status that the episodes are out? =\

He had one topic earlier but it was locked. xD

I do so hope you are joking... Really I do... (or at least uploaded the wrong file)

I just downloaded from fileserve and the torrent... And... wow... I didn't think anything could out do XCHKS in terms of quality. 103mb, only half the subs there, only half the EPISODE THERE?! wmv?!

So I apologize, this isn't a speed sub, this is something worse. I don't even know what it is.

And the 644 on your site is DCTP's... I don't even... I can't...

I'm done.

Okay, so I've downloaded this episode, and I decided to make a review of it (because Kyuu kinda influenced me :P ). I am also a fansubber (not Detective Conan, sorry... XD ) so I know how things go in subbing an anime.

First is the audio and video quality of the episode that you subbed:

- So you've said that it is in HD. Well, it isn't. Why? Because when I've checked the video's properties, the size of the video is 640x480, which is very far from 1280x720 (also known as HD) and 1920x1080 (also known as Full HD or Blu-ray version), which also explains the small file size of 103 MB. HD versions, based on DCTP's releases, have a file size of around 350 MB. HD videos, when viewed on an HD computer or TV, should occupy the whole screen, whether it's just HD or full HD. But, in my laptop with an HD screen, when I watched yours, that's not the case.

- Surprisingly, the bit rate of the video is 7000 kbps, while the audio is 128 kbps, but they weren't evident on the episode. Why is that?

- And check your video at 10:04 part. This explains why your version has a length of only 13:25. It should've been around 24-25 minutes.

Second, the subtitles:

- The font size of your subtitles are very large that they reach 3 lines most of the time (I even saw one that reached 4 lines!) and are very distracting.

- Also, the color of the font blends poorly with the video, which actually made my eyes burn, LITERALLY. Also, the timing of each subtitle and the voice is way off, which made me not understand what the hell is actually happening in the episode.

- There are some parts that you haven't placed any subtitle on it.

- WHY IS THERE A PART IN THE EPISODE THAT THE SUBTITLES COVERED THE VIDEO LITERALLY YOU COULDN'T ALMOST SEE WHAT'S HAPPENING ANYMORE?? Why don't you try watching a DVD with subtitles and see how they look. Almost all subtitles reach 1-2 lines. There are also 3 lines, but it only happens very, very, very rarely.

Third, the quality checking of the video: Obviously, you haven't done it. Period.

My overall impression and opinion: The audio and video has poor quality even though they have a surprisingly high bit rate, the subtitles are crappy, and there was no quality checking of the episode. And it's pretty darn evident that you've sacrificed quality over speed.

I agree on what Kyuu said, "You've beaten XCHKS in terms of low quality fansubs." If you don't know the difference, download an episode subbed by XCHKS, watch it, then compare it with other fansubbers' versions. I mean, why are you trying to prove to anyone, that you can release an episode faster than DCTP by using a technique called "speed-subbing", if that's what you really did, with the same quality as that of DCTP's and other DC fansub groups? If you have other people that would help you aside from you and your Japanese friend, we could've believe it. But, you haven't mentioned any, which made me and other people here doubt about it.

Yes, you've released Episode 645 before DCTP did, BUT DID YOU EVEN CHECK if everything's good, like the quality of the raw episode that you've got, the translations, the subtitles and their timings, and the quality of your finished product?

I, for example, have subbed an episode of an old anime since I haven't found any English-subbed versions of it. You know how long it took me? Believe it or not, 8 days--1 day for finding the raw episode with the highest quality, 5 days for translating, encoding the translations, and setting the timing of each subtitle, then 2 days for encoding the final video and QUALITY CHECKING for any flaws in the product. If there are errors, I fix the errors, re-encode the final video, and PERFORM QUALITY CHECKING AGAIN until the final output is free of errors. Do you know HorribleSubs? They take at least one week before they could release an episode of Fairy Tail, usually every Saturday. Yes, they take a while, but their finished product is excellent, just like DCTP.

My point is, subbing is not like what you did--translate, put them into the video, encode the video, don't check the finished product, then distribute.

Subbing is like this--find a raw episode that has the highest audio and video quality possible, translate the words, then refine and organize them to form a clear sentence without changing the original thought, type them into the video, set the timing, animations (if applicable) and the color of the subtitles (so that it would blend nicely with the video), prepare the video for encoding by setting the optimal audio and video quality (not the highest, but still acceptable), then encode the video, perform QUALITY CHECKING by watching the final product to make sure that there are no errors, then, finally, distribute it.

Sorry for the long post, but not what the post says, but I just need to get it out of me.
