Kjeldahl 47 Report post Posted March 6, 2015 I want to be a pediatric endocrinologist who writes novels and novellas on the side. I've wanted to be a pediatrician since I was in kindergarten, but I narrowed it down to pedatric endocrinology in 8th grade after I realized how much genders and hormones applied to my writing. I want to be a pediatric endocrinologist because I primarily want to work with intersex children and their families to help them reach an understanding about what intersexuality means for their lives. I especially want to work with girls with Classical Congenital Adrenal Hyperplasia and educate them on surgeries, procedures, and nomenclature that should never be used. I've wanted to be a novelist since the 2nd grade, and the reason I want to is because I want to share the worlds I've created with other people, and I want them to be able to enjoy their imagination while still learning interesting facts that play roles in my writing. Writing is something I've been doing seriously since middle school, and I do think I could make a living for myself by doing it. Although, I can't give up my dream for endocrinology, so they're both my ultimate dream job. If I could do them together, it would be a dream come true. I have great respect for you from the bottom of my heart.

Kirsch 95 Report post Posted March 10, 2015 I wanna be a meteorologist so bad. Ever since that one chapter in my 4th grade science class I've just been utterly fascinated with with the weather and everything. I remember we were doing this unit on clouds and I just absolutely loved it. I also remember being given a worksheet on how hot and cold fronts worked and just failing it horribly but my reaction to that bad grade was "I can't believe I messed up so badly. I'll get it one day though. I really like this stuff so I know I will." Considering how I wasn't quite used to bad grades then and gave up quite easily as well I just think that says something in one way or another. Haha, that's just the opposite of me. I've loathed every meteorology unit I've taken, and I couldn't care less if it was sunny or raining outside. The only thing I've ever needed was sticking my hand outside to decide if it's a T-shirt or jacket day. ... There are so many things wrong with my argument. Anyway, good luck! We really need accurate snow-alerting people in the future

We really need accurate snow-alerting people in the future Average weather like cloudiness (clouds are interesting but them just chilling in the sky not really doing much is kinda boring) and clear days aren't too interesting either (at least not to me) but storm cells, man... Whenever it storms I always end up sitting in front of the largest window in my house with laptop in front me trying to figure out where the most severe part might go and watching just how fast the clouds are moving in real time compared to how fast they move on the radar. And there's tornadoes and waterspouts that are essentially just unstoppable, high speed funnels with no regard for anything in their paths. The fact that you can see the rotation on radar images too , , they're so terrifying they're fascinating And thank you! The snow predicting models..? equipment...? (not quite sure where they get the accumulation numbers from..) are off from time to time. Hopefully that'll improve because there's few worse feelings than being told like 7 - 10in and only getting 4 - 6in. or vice versa. I'm sure in a couple years the technology will be better??? I hope it'll be more accurate at least

I hope it'll be more accurate at least Storms cells are definitely more interesting than types of clouds, but I remember being more interesting in the drone they flew into the storm cell than the actual thing when I watched the documentaries If it interests you any, I'll be interviewing a professor over spring break on the topic of astrophysics. He specializes in atmospheric weather on the surfaces of different planets and moons, and apparently he's well informed in these kind of things back on Earth as well.
