On December 3rd, a man named Ryuko Daisuke, age 26, went missing. He was last seen with a woman named Ryuko Haname, his grandmother who he was taking care of because she was ill. He went missing around 3:30 that afternoon, and his body was found in an abandoned car

with no fingerprints. The victim had been stabbed once in the abdomen and shot once in the head. His wallet was not on his person, and the last thing he did was go to the pharmacy for his grandmothers medication. He was supposedly a very wealthy man. There was no clues at the crime scene except for a half-smoked cigarette. The following people are the 3 suspects:

Ryuko Haname: The victims grandmother. She never really liked him because he dated a woman named Samaru Manami, who the grandmother hated.

Motive: Hatred or perhaps monetary gain(the wallet?)

Smokes: Yes

Dakaru Hideme: The used to be male friend of Ryuko Daisuke. The victim dated Dakaru Hideme's secret love, so they were not very close.

Motive: A painful past, or monetary gain

Smokes: No

Samaru Manami: The victims love life. She broke up with him shortly after their first-year dating anniversary for no apparent reason.

Motive: No leads.

Smokes: No

Honestly, Dev, the case makes no sense. There's no structure here. I asked you to consult me before posting anything like this.... how hard would it have been to ask across the room for help?

If it was childishly obvious, it would be the grandma, as she smokes. If the victim smokes, I don't see why he would have smoked a half a cigarette in the presence of any suspect, as all 3 seem to hate him, and it would be terrible for the ill grandma's health. An obvious choice in this case would be the man who has a 'painful past' as his motive, as you could have him have any measure of hatred for the victim with no solid evidence in the case so far.

Another possibility is that the ex-girlfriend left the victim for the other man, and either relayed a dislike of the victim to him, or planned on her own to be rid of him. There are far too many possible theories for this case for it to be solved at the moment~

The cigarette in any case was likely placed, as the grandma would not have murdered the man who was retrieving her medicine if she was so ill that someone else had to get it, especially if they live in the same house and she likely cannot drive or has no car. There is no solid evidence to support any deduction.

If you want someone to solve this without just guessing and checking with you, I suggest you release more evidence and clues, or just rewrite it.

ADDED: ... =_= Why does the grandma smoke if she is sick and needs medicine?

Nice idea but it has too many holes.

He was last seen with a woman named Ryuko Haname, his grandmother who he was taking care of because she was ill.

Wait. If his grandmother was ill, due to her age, I suppose she was at home. If he was last seen with her, that means someone must've gone to their house and saw them before Daisuke went missing. And if we know that fact, that means that that same person told us that fact. So, you should've included their questionings in your case.

He went missing around 3:30 that afternoon

How do you know the exact moment that he went missing?

If he left the home at 3:30 PM, that wouldn't mean that he went missing the exact same moment.

his body was found in an abandoned car

When? If he went missing, we need to know when was the body found so we can narrow down the places where he could've went and people that he could've came in contact with.

The victim had been stabbed once in the abdomen and shot once in the head.

As I've already said, if his grandmother was ill, she would be at home and cleared out of suspicion. The two remaining suspects are friend (male) and ex-girlfriend (female). If he was shot, it's logical to think that a male did it because female usually cannot handle a gun that well, except if it was a type of the gun that anyone could handle. That's why we need a capsule of the bullet, so we can find out what gun was used.

There was no clues at the crime scene except for a half-smoked cigarette.

I'm getting back again to what I first said. His grandmother was ill at home, and she was the only smoker. It's obvious then that the cigarette was either coincidentally there, or was placed there. But, if it was placed, what's the reason? To blame the only person that smokes aka his grandmother who's at home? I don't think so, which leaves us with only possible solution, coincidence.

Well, I think that's about enough for now. My purpose was to try and give you some leads with this post on how to fulfill some of the holes. Hope it'll be of some help.

ADDED: ... =_= Why does the grandma smoke if she is sick and needs medicine?

If she smokes at her age, it probably means that she's a heavy smoker. For them, even if they're on the verge of death, they won't stop smoking, so it wouldn't be unusual.

-_- Dev, you don't, so don't speak for others. It may be a stereotype, but a ton of the people who can't use firearms and are pro-gun control are women... sucks for them they don't get to shoot zombie targets. XP
