Kaitou Kid Legendary Thief 197 Report post Posted August 19, 2012 Doesn't seem like anyone's making any guesses... =\ Let's see. I'll do a bump by making a guess. I'm guessing it's Kurei Nana. :V

Kaitou Kid Legendary Thief 197 Report post Posted August 23, 2012 ^Yea. I have been busy too. If not, I think I would spend more time on this. This is pretty interesting. Can you give some more hints please??? >__< Currently, after I reread the incidents, I link the last hint by Shirou to both Kurei and Tsu An, for pretty straightforward reasons. Can give more hints in regards to the motives? :V
erica46829 0 Report post Posted November 4, 2012 I hope this is still an active case, seeing as how nobody has contributed to it in awhile, and the OP didn't mention anything about the case being solved on the thread. I just saw this case tonight, and was intrigued by it. I had a few deductions (may not be perfect) and many questions, but I am still not 100% sure if my guess is right. Regarding the First Murder, + In the second murder, it was said that the victim was attacked from behind. Can the same be said about this case? + How far away was Tsu An Jan's home from the scene of the crime? + How far away was Kurei Nana's home from the scene of the crime? + Does it matter where exactly the blood was found on the jacket? Regarding the Second murder, + How far away was the birthday party from the crime scene? + What about Kurei Nana's alibi at the party? Is the absence of other students confirming her continued presence a part of the hint? + How reliable is the alibi of Kanda Jirou? Considering that it came from one of the suspects, as well as a bunch of drunk students (and one other sober student). + When did Shiro Atsushi and Tsu An Jan's 3-day trip out of town end? Or was their trip ended early because of the second crime being committed? + Why would the victim decide to meet someone alone, and not tell someone where they are going? The victim must have trusted the perpetrator enough to meet the person without telling anyone, despite the fact that they could be the killer. Regarding both murders, + Does it matter how the time of death was determined? Not sure if the cold weather would have slowed down rigor mortis, but this is a possibility (a trick!) My deductions: Kanda Jirou + For the first murder, it is far-fetchedly (lol) possible that Kanda Jirou used his brother for an alibi, albeit his brother being unaware of doing so. He could have used 2 cell phones, the first one being used by Kanda, while the other one was placed next to the landline. Kanda could have called his other cell phone (placed by landline), and then called his brother using the landline. Kanda then left his house while talking to his brother, went and committed the crime, and then returned home. Thus, this could render his alibi meaningless, although I don't feel Kanda Jirou has a strong enough motive to kill his girlfriend. He was unaware of the shoot that was offered by Shirou the photographer, thus he has nothing to be "possessive crazy over". Plus, there was no scream or struggle from the victim, which would have been heard on the phone if he used the cell phone trick. That, or insufficient details were given regarding the murder. + For the second murder, nobody has disproven that Kanda Jirou was at the party the entire time, and drunk albeit. However, I do not know how much time it would have taken to commit the crime, due to insufficient information regarding the location of the party. Again, I do not see a strong motive from him to kill his ex girlfriend. Yamada Mikan + It isn't possible for Yamada Mikan to have committed the first crime. Her workplace is too far away from the crime scene, and she was gone for no longer than three minutes at one time. Also, she has no strong motive to kill Hara Hitomi, rather she would kill Kanda Jirou for not taking her back. The only other connection Yamada had to the victim was that she came into the karaoke bar regularly to visit her boyfriend Kanda. + She is the victim of the second murder. She isn't gonna kill herself after killing someone else, and try to frame someone else for the first crime. Just doesn't make sense, and nothing indicates this. Tsu An Jan + For the first murder, she doesn't have a very strong alibi. She could have faked out the work that she had done between 8 and 10 pm, and created her alibi by taking photos of her "before", but created the "after" beforehand, making this a premeditated murder. We cannot verify that the cousin is a "light sleeper". With that said, I do not believe that Tsu An Jan had a very strong murder motive; the fact that the victim had a record of plaigarism may indicate another suspect is at play here (will see coming up) + She was out of town for the second murder. She could not have committed the second crime due to timing issues. Kurei Nana + For the first murder, she seems to have the strongest motive, and a weak alibi (in my opinion). The aforementioned plaigarism of the victim maybe ripped off of Kurei Nana at one point, and she was denied entry into BAU (work she might have done was used by the victim?). She also seemed to speak "too highly" of the victim, pointing out that her boyfriend was controlling, and that everybody liked her, contrary to her record. She must have pissed someone off with her plaigarism; why cover it up or lie about her reputation? Plus, the neighbor's alibi does not confirm her alibi; only the alibi of her car (lol). + For the second murder, Kurei does not have an alibi; her only alibi is "confirming someone else's alibi" Also, she was connected to the victims of all three crimes in some way (Shiro after the first murder, more than likely went to the karaoke bar with her close friend Hana where she would have met Yamada Shirou Atsushi + For the first murder, he called the victim repeatedly about a photo shoot, despite being rejected every time. He called the victim at 9:12pm, just minutes before (or after) her death and left a voicemail, saying that he was sorry that he repeatedly called her, and that he will find someone else for the shoot. He was scheduled for a shoot at a bus stop, but on the other side of the city (odd coincidence, no?) + It has been established that he was out of town at the time of the second murder. He could not have committed the second murder due to timing issues. + He is the victim of the third crime, and also had a note in his left hand. This note may have been handed to him, but why was it in his left hand if he is right-handed? This seems a bit odd to me. The third crime's weapon does not fit with the other two murders; this could be because he was trying to portray himself as being one of the victims but actually isn't? Also, it would be reasonably easy to stab yourself in the abdomen; it isn't in an impossible location. What I still don't understand... + Kanda and Yamada were both singers, which might reference to the bloody message on the third crime's note "mother crow cries" as someone else mentioned. It might also reference the fact that the crow is black, a reference to the color of Tsu An Jan's and Shiro Atsushi's hair color.
erica46829 0 Report post Posted November 4, 2012 Also, in the note found at the first crime, it said "It's time to talk. Meet me at the station." Why would Shirou use these words? Hasn't he been calling her nonstop about wanting to do a photo shoot? On the other hand, Kurei hasn't seen the victim in a few days, despite being her closest friend. Why is that? Is it because they had an argument? I can't imagine a severe cold being the reason for not seeing her, nor did she state specifically that this is the reason why she hasn't seen her.
