The Script.. though some of you only know them since they arent much that popular since they dont release their songs in U.S.A. much.

Reasons why i love them:

1. Their songs are meaningful.. and they describe the things happening to the world right now.. like For the First time, The End where I Begin, We cry, Bullet from a Gun

2. They are great live.. Some say that they are even awesomer live than in cd.

3. Danny's voice is unique and his voice is tenor which is awesome.

4. they help me made move on with their awesome heart broken songs which i still listen to till today.

5. They tackle all genre.. from rock(Rusty halo, etc.) to acoustic song(Im yours) to rap rock(We cry) to pop rock(Hall of fame)..

6. Songs dont sound the same.. they are creative though some are but its quite rare

7. They made a song named "None the Wiser" , which meaning is still unknown, in just one day from a challenge by a radio channel.

8. They arent overplayed and they arent mainstream. they are an alternative rock..

9. They made a B-Side song named "live like were dying" which was covered by kris allen which became popular and none knew it was originally sang by The Script.

10. etc..

I just love them.. All of their songs are awesome and i like them all.. They use a lot of metaphors, words used has deep meanings and they are original.. Though some hate them.. i dunno why.. maybe because all their songs are about heart broken..

PS. they just started at 2008 so they are just a new band.

Thanks for the recommendation. I've listened to the song. Well, I have to say that it's not really my genre. It's one of those pop-rock love songs (if I used the right words there), but you can definitely hear some quality from the song. The singer has a really good voice, and the rhythm is pretty nice.

They won't have a problem getting through with those songs, that's for sure.

I'm actually a fan of heavy metal, so Maximum the Hormone and stuff. But every once in a while, you hear a song from another genre that even someone as picky as me can like.

Gotta listen to this one.

Its their most popular but not their greatest.. Their are a lot of songs from them that are better.

@phil-Yep.. love thingy.. go listen to rusty halo by them if you like rock.. its pure rock.

I agree with that. It's not their greatest. However, a lot of the people here listen to that song a lot but whenever I mention the name of the actual band, they go huh?

The U.S. has a reputation of ignoring the talented, so yeah.

i cant believe that the fray is more popular than them in USA. The Script is 1000x better than them. Some people even compare them to Maroon 5 lol.

Anyway heres my top song list(All songs i think) from the Script

1.For the First Time and The Man Who Cant be Moved are tie... both awesome song.. will never forget The Man who cant be moved, Its enough to make me find more of their awesome songs.

2.You wont feel a thing.. song rocks and i like the instrumentation played here.

3. Live like were dying and Talk You Down..No need to explain.

4.We Cry and Breakeven.. We cry and Breakeven are tie for me.

5.Bullet From A gun and Nothing and Dead Man Walking

6.None The Wiser and Rusty Halo and If you ever comeback

7.If you see kay and Before the Worst

8. Science and Faith and Hall of Fame

9. Exit Wounds

10. The End Where I begin and Im Yours.. Good but aint that much.

11. Walk Away and Long and Moved On..Bores me after listening too much

12.This=Love.. isnt that good.. I find this song boring.. rhythm aint good... Lyrics resurrect it though.

13. Anybody there and Fall for anything.. Cant rate it.. just listened one time

Kinda a biased statement there since both have fans. It might just be because the Fray is covered more widely in the US. The fact that they're actually a US band might help in that factor.

As for me personally, I've been listening to the Script more frequently recently. Mainly For the First Time since that is possibly my current favorite song in the romance department. Unlike a lot of the songs talking about young love and being together forever, I kind of always imagined For the First Time as a song about struggling to be a family but trusting that they'd succeed. That's what I like about that song--how it's different.

I'm not the most avid Script fan there is, that's for sure. I won't be attending any concerts in the near future. I haven't listened to all of their songs either. But some of them are unique and good. Of course, some of them aren't that great and somewhat generic, but no band is perfect.

If I had to put the songs I've listened to in order, it'd be something like this:

1. For the First Time

2. The Man Who Can't be Moved

3. Breakeven

4. Nothing

5. If You Ever Come Back

6. Science and Faith

7. Exit Wounds

8. This = Love

There were a few songs (Science and Faith, Breakeven, Nothing) that I really used to love, but have gradually grown bored of.

Well "For The First Time" according to the band, well it has a lot of meanings.. one is about not. giving up on someone even at hard time and the other is about the things happening around this world.. poverty.. Its about not giving in even at hard times

Thats why i like their songs... eventhough they arent that perfect at creating rhythm.. they still can make the song by using great lyrics...

and about the fray... im not being biased.. The fray songs all sounds the same... go listen to How to save a life, You Found Me and Never say never... The rythm sounds the same.. They aint good at mixing instruments.
