THIS THREAD is used to discuss about SPOILERS. In other words, if you only read the English version and wish to wait for the official release instead of getting spoiled, this is NOT the right place for you!

RULES OF THE SPOILER-ONLY DISCUSSION THREAD:

1. Any kind of spoiler involving the case (pictures, texts, information, full scans...) of any language that is released before the actual English version must be posted HERE. The English translations of the spoilers must also be posted here. Please DO NOT share them at the thread made for English-files readers only, in ANY form (NOT even in spoiler boxes).

2. Any kind of discussion involving the spoilers must be posted HERE. Please DO NOT reveal, give hints or talk about any information or event (that has not yet happened in the English releases) at the thread made for English-files readers only, in ANY form (NOT even in spoiler boxes).

3. Despite being a Spoiler-only thread, EVERY spoiler and discussion involving events that has not yet happened in the English releases STILL has to be put inside Spoiler boxes. When the mentioned file is officially released in English, this is not necessary anymore.

4. NO DIRECT LINK to Original Japanese scans (RAWs) or to ANY English manga scan because we don't want to have any problem with lawyers. (Japanese spoiler pictures are allowed as long as the amount and quality of which are very very far away from a full scan, like the ones we usually have).

1. Why is this whole thing necessary?

2. Why do I still have to use Spoiler boxes here?
A: In case some member (who only follows the English files) get confused, misclick, or just simply get in the wrong thread... etc., this rule is made NOT to let spoilers get revealed to them. And since this is quite complicated, confusions are unavoidable, especially for new members.

3. How do I use Spoiler boxes anyway?
A: Just simply type the following:

[spoiler]Text you want to write  [/spoiler]

Or more manually:
Step 1: Click the "Special BBCode" icon at the upper-left side of the edit toolbar.

 
Step 2: In BBCode, select "Spoiler".

 
Step 3: Enter the text that you want to put inside Spoiler boxes, then click OK.


4. If the spoiler is not obvious enough to viewers (e.g. one must click a link in order to see it), do I have to use Spoiler boxes?
A: No, using link addresses is also a hiding method. Again the purpose of this is just to protect the spoilers and info. from being viewed by members who do not want to see them (but get in here by accident). However, you should STATE CLEARLY that it's a spoiler, just to make sure.

5. Can I join the discussion in the other thread as well?
A: Of course you can. HOWEVER, as mentioned in the rules above, you MUST NOT reveal, give hints or talk about ANYTHING that spoils.

6. Who are you anyway? Why do we have to follow YOUR rules?
A: Not mine. Chek suggested that it should be this way. Also, the person who create the threads must write the rules clearly on the very first post from now on, whether they want it or not; this applies to every member (not only me).

ANYWAY, everyone should read this whole post carefully before posting or viewing anything. If you are mistaken for not paying attention to it, the creator of the thread, the moderators and every other forum members will NOT take any responsibility.

I personally think it's really interesting that Conan finally seems to remember Sera from the past because of her fang. The question now is: Have we seen her before in some of the almost 80 volumes? Has there been a person with pointy tooth before or will it be a previously unseen event from the past?

This part of the current case seems more interesting to me than the murder itself.

Actually the real question is:Is Sera another childhood friend?

Seriously it would be nice if somehow Akai's family and Shinichi's family know each other.

I only hope Sera isn't in love with Shinichi,that would be quite boring.

But for real: If Sera is a childhood friend like 75aichan said, wouldn't it be a bit fast for Shinichi to forget? I mean, they're only 17 and if I remember correctly, Seras move to America was just three years ago.

Shinichi: "What? Who are you?"

Sera: "Masumi Sera! You, Ran and I had the time of our life since we were 5, until I left three years ago! We met almost every day! Don't you remember the fun we had?! THE FUN!!"

Shinichi: (looks to Ran) "Huh?"

Sera's fang just remind me of Gosho's interview back then in 2011 when he said that both Ai and Sera are wolves. Well I wonder what that means..

Well I incline to think Sera is now part of the plot or he won't add her in for no reason. I notice she often give away too much with her toothy grin or smile she give too much vibe about murderer's antics. But I supposed it was natural as it was the same feeling Conan often hang around with Heiji. Basically they all had to find out who is the murderer among three persons.

So what got Conan thinking is the long hair can be hidden with the fake, and the tooth which shown on Sera's face. Hint is so subtle!

Well, according to the current spoilers, Ran seems to know Sera, too - kinda - she is reminded of the sea/the sound of waves, when Sera runs (because of her figure or something O.o) Conan asks Sera at the end of the case if he knows her from somewhere but she replies something along the lines of "Who knows?", while thinking that she can't tell him - not yet.

I remember that Gosho said in an interview sometime ago that he will "reread volume 28", implying it could be important again some time in the future... in this volume, there is the case about the Mermaid island... maybe it has something to do with it? Japanese mermaids have fangs... maybe Sera is a bisexual mermaid who grants immortality? XD

Okay, now it's kind of becoming silly. Sorry.

I just read about volume 28 on wiki, that case about the Mermaid Island and found this "Shiho Miyano's name is in a guestbook logging past contestants for the immortality arrows." Well, I haven't re-read the chapters yet though..

Maybe Shiho was undercover on the mermaid island to reseach on the myth about 'the immortal Lady'. I'm sure that BO's goal is immortality.

If Sera had met Shinichi and Ran just after the NY case, it would been in Los Angeles. It could be a new part of Ran's memories that is still locked up.

I have a theory: Yukiko said to Sharon that Shinichi reported the location of the serial killer(aka Vermouth) to the police. Since Akai is a FBI-agent, he could get that information and find out were Shinichi's parents lives in USA and asked his sister to find them for him and do nothing until he arrives(He may just want to asked them a few questions). But someting happed(A new case?) that involved Sera, Ran and Shinichi, so they have to talk together. And before Akai could arrived Shinichi and Ran have gone back to Japan, but Sera has learn enought about their meeting with Vermouth to tell it to her brother, so he might not find it necessary to track them down.
