If it's the latter, then I think it's a very bad idea to add a plot icon for every individual character in the series, regardless of how big the role they're having. Kid's symbol isn't used to only represent him, it's about the involvements of Magic Kaito characters. The icons existed so far are to highlight certain plot developments or the involvements of some collectives of characters (like BO, FBI...; whether or not should we add the DB is still up for debate because they show up too often).
