Jodie Starling 8 Report post Posted September 22, 2010 I would like to begin to contribute information into the DCW Wiki, however I'm unfamiliar with its formatting. Is there a list of templates somewhere to help build the pages properly, such as the episode pages? Thanks in advance.
CarpetCrawler 280 Report post Posted September 22, 2010 One good way to do it is by looking at an old episode article, copying and pasting that article's code, and fiddling around with that. Heck, it's what I do for every episode article I create.

The box to the right of an episode page, for example. It lists the episode title, screen-shot, and episode information. Also the contents box to the upper-left of the page. Maurice 274 Report post Posted September 27, 2010 There's also a Guide page on the wiki for general formatting information: http://www.detectiveconanworld.com/wiki/Detective_Conan_Wiki:Guide I have been working on the summaries and have finished till about 400. I just visited the wiki recently and saw the "resolution" part there. In what way should I make it as?Can you please give me an example?thanks The first few episodes have a resolution part alerady. Just check them out as examples. Basically, there normally needs to be a an "Evidence", "Conclusion" and "Motive" section. For example, see: http://www.detectiveconanworld.com/wiki/An_Idol%27s_Locked_Room_Murder_Case
Abs. 2 Report post Posted January 20, 2011 Alright, this looks like as good a place as any to ask: Where are you getting the File titles for the Manga articles from? Specifically the early volumes. Are they from the English Case Closed Files, or...?
Chekhov MacGuffin 1089 Report post Posted January 20, 2011 Alright, this looks like as good a place as any to ask: Where are you getting the File titles for the Manga articles from? Based on what I'm seeing here http://www.detectiveconanworld.com/wiki/Volume_1-10 it seems to be a list imported from the one on Wikipedia. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Case_Closed_volumes_%281%E2%80%9320%29 (or this list was imported to Wikipedia. CarpetCrawler 280 Report post Posted January 20, 2011 Based on what I'm seeing here http://www.detectiveconanworld.com/wiki/Volume_1-10 it seems to be a list imported from the one on Wikipedia. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Case_Closed_volumes_%281%E2%80%9320%29 (or this list was imported to Wikipedia. I don't know.) Early on, a lot of stuff was imported from Wikipedia with the purpose being to make us totally re-write everything. A good 90% of the stuff imported from Wikipedia has been re-written, other than stuff like that, apparently. That, or they took it from us, since there's apparently a user there that has taken info from us for Wikipedia. Either way, it's OK for both sides to take stuff. I'm not an expert on the manga chapter listings (I don't source with the manga, just the anime,) so I don't know what's going on there. They may be correct, I don't know. If it was copied from Wikipedia, it wouldn't surprise me if the chapter names were chapter names from the English manga, since Wikipedia would rather use the English dub and manga for every DC-related page there.
