Tomb of the Unknown Soldier: Is monument for soldiers who has had been left to battlefield, or can't been identified. It's also monument for all soldiers.

 

Fact: Unknown Soldier (3rd of December 1954) is book written by Väinö Linna. It's story a machine gun company in Continuation War from point of view of ordinary Finnish soldiers. Most of upper secondary school student read it as part of literature class. It has two film adaptations and first film(23rd of December 1955 only year after the book) is most in theater watched film in Finland. After year 2000 it has been shown in TV every year on Independence Day of Finland.

Bipolar:

A mental disorder that causes a person to undergo big moodswings, sometimes even severe enough for them to have a split personality.

Fact:

Most bipolar patients would only have two 'personalities', and it's difficult for them to remember themselves in the other one.

Fact: Auroras are caused by solar winds and storms getting trapped and channeled on the poles by the Earth's magnetic field.

Someone who's in the lower class/is poor.

 

Fact:

This word originated from Ancient Rome (or Greece?). Plebeian habits can be used to describe an economical or frugal behavior.

A way to distinguish different areas of land for political/economical purposes.

 

Fact:

It's similar to 'states' or 'provinces', but cantons are used in Switzerland.

Fact - One of the founder of this field is Michael Faraday

Tremolo:

A technique used on string instruments (possibly others as well) in which the player moves the bow quickly back and forth. It is written with three slanted dashes on the stem of a note.

Fact:

In cases where there are two dashes, it signifies to play sixteenth notes within the time span of the note (one dash is for eighth notes). However, it's generally not referred to as tremolo.

Deism: Is a kind of belief that puts up a single entity as the creator of the universe but this entity doesn't (much) intervene in the working of the universe itself.

Fact: It was widely popular before especially in the mid ages.

Syllogism: A kind of logical argument that applies deductive reasoning to arrive at a conclusion based on two or more propositions that are asserted or assumed to be true.

A famous Apache Native-American in the late 1800s, known for leading raids on white settlers.

 

Fact:

The assassination plan for Osama bin Laden was nicknamed "Operation Geronimo".

Otto Hahn

A German chemist born in 1879 on Frankfurt-on-Main, Germany. In 1938, he and Strassman discovered fission by bombarding uranium and thorium with neutrons. He discovered radiothorium, radioactinum and mesothorium as well.

Fact: He and Einstein was born in the same year.

Fact:

Andrew Carnegie's "Gospel of Wealth" states that the wealthy should administrate their money wisely in their lifetime. In other words, "A man who dies rich dies disgraced."

Social Darwinism:

A type of economy (or economical philosophy) that ensures the power and success of the successful increase, while the power and success of the lower classes decrease. In other words, it's the survival of the fittest. Most of the wealth are thrown to a few individuals that are responsible for controlling the circulation.

Fact:

Andrew Carnegie and Charles vi Britannia believed in Social Darwinism.
