Balthazar Manfredie 226 Report post Posted January 25, 2015 I love yao. He was a great C, not only could he play inside but he had a nice shot, and a better FT shooter then most SGs. T-Mac and Yao never had luck, always hurt right in the middle of the first round. I love to rewatch those Hakeem games from the 90s.

Ryo 73 Report post Posted January 26, 2015 Look at the Cavs now Baltha...didn't I tell ya they would get better? The Rockets won't go deep in the playoffs. No way they would beat GSW 4 times in my opinion. Caught some of that Bulls-Heat game before work. Chicago is a mess right now. The Suns need to address that 3 Guard situation in the off season. Balthazar Manfredie 226 Report post Posted January 26, 2015 Once again, the cavs may look good now, but the way playoff games are played is diff then the season ones. We have seen this side of them numerous times last night the rockets schooled the lakers, there were a lot of moments when the lakers didn't know how to handle the ball shame that detroit lost, they played great OKC, i would love it if they missed the playoffs close call for GSW and wizards
Ryo 73 Report post Posted January 26, 2015 Yeah but the playoffs are where the teams with a few kinks tend to become successful. Records don't matter in April, it's all about who wants it more.

Yao was the one who got me truly interested in the NBA. Just like you said he was a great player even though he got injured a lot. I mean like you can't have everything right ? I shrug by the idea of all that mass pushing down on his knees and ankles. Once again, the cavs may look good now, but the way playoff games are played is diff then the season ones. Is it worth watching the rerun of this game ? Or should a highlight be enough to get a gist of everything ? Me being busy right now hasn't helped a bit with catching up on games. But hey, Yao went back to college and succeeded there Also i never understood those Wizards with Jamison, Butler, Arenas, Haywood, Stevenson...great but the lack of communication
Ryo 73 Report post Posted January 27, 2015 i never understood that "who wants it more" to me its who has the skill right now, do the cavs have a chance against the bulls That's where we disagree. Sports - passion = nonexistent. If you're asking me, then absolutely they have a chance.
Balthazar Manfredie 226 Report post Posted January 27, 2015 That's where we disagree. Sports - passion = nonexistent. If you're asking me, then absolutely they have a chance. But Duncan looks like he doesn't have the passion and has 5 of them Barkley and i share this thought lets keep in mind hat the cavs are also injury prone like the bulls they can lose love and Irvin right before the series

That's why players call it quits when they feel there's no motivation anymore. Injury prone or not, they've been impressive recently.

Balthazar Manfredie 226 Report post Posted January 27, 2015 oh god, not that picture and the powder toss but where are we on the raptors
Balthazar Manfredie 226 Report post Posted January 28, 2015 the bulls have won in OT against the GSW i didn't expect this Nice effort by the lakers
Ryo 73 Report post Posted January 28, 2015 I don't have much to add on the Raptors. They gotta make some noise in the playoffs for me to validate them as a team. I was surprised GSW lost since Butler was out. D. Rose in clutch mode in OT. We pretty much controlled that game up until a few mins left in the 3rd Q-End of 4th Q. Ellington & Clarkson went off. Young guys have potential.
Balthazar Manfredie 226 Report post Posted January 28, 2015 they are currently matched with the heat would love to see that i still dont think Rose is ROSE but we are getting no where fast im thinking if we sign a Big man and a PG with Kobe and move the starters to the bench...that could be great Sprite Slam Dunk Contest: Antetokounmpo, LaVine, Oladipo, Plumlee
Ryo 73 Report post Posted January 28, 2015 Something is still off about him. Cuts are there but he still struggles with the lift in his shot. Not sure why Wiggins isn't in the dunk contest smh. Hope we sign some legit players.
Balthazar Manfredie 226 Report post Posted January 28, 2015 i have lost love for the dunk contest they are flashy somehow and not strong like before

Balthazar Manfredie 226 Report post Posted January 31, 2015 i love how the suns are playing and making OKC panic the hawks are a tough nugget the clippers are garbage GSW could play a bit serious cavs...not bad
Ryo 73 Report post Posted February 6, 2015 Finally, Ryo has come back to the NBA thread! Cavs win 12 in a row. Now the #3 seed in the East. Clippers stink (we already knew this.) The Wizards have lost 5 straight....... Watching the Suns/Blazers game now.
