Detective Conan vs the Black Organization Omnibus Volume 2

This omnibus volume came out within the last week and continues were the previous volume left off. The first Vs BO volume contained all of the major BO events throughout the series from Ch001 all the way up to Shuuichi being shot by Kir (Ch609). Volume 2 was quite disappointing. Due to the technicality that the reader is not supposed to know who the main players of the Bourbon arc are, about 3/4ths of this volume is just Okiya Subaru and Masumi cases. Amuro Tooru's first appearance and Detective's Nocturne feel like they just got crammed into the end. This entire volume is just a summary of information you might need to know before reading Detective's Nocturne at the end and that is it.

To be honest, if they skipped Paper Planes case, Professor's Video Site, and East Vs West, they could have fit Yusaku's Cold Case, Cabin trap, and MT into this book.... Then they would have had a majority of the Bourbon arc covered from his intro to his reveal.

The cover looks rather enticing, I suppose the same can't be said about the actual content 

 

The price does seem pretty fair though, if that's any saving grace.

I really don't understand why Gin gets to be on the cover, he is only really in the Red Shirts case

This book is overly Detective's Nocturne themed. At the very least they should have had Scar Akai or Okiya on the cover

They could've fit way more into this, even with the stipulation about separating the 622–824 part of the Bourbon arc from the 825–897 part.

Conan VS BO PART 3 is already scheduled to come out on April 15th along side volume 89

 

Since they took an entire omnibus volume to  introduce the Bourbon suspects I fully expect that

 

this one will only cover Mystery Train, Masumi's older brothers, Mystery Girl, and Scarlet arc and stop there

 

but maybe it will cover some of the MG and Middle bro stuff after that??? maybe ???? idk.
