Glass Heart 34 Report post Posted October 19, 2010 Hi everyone ! Let me introduce myself. I'm Glass Heart and I'm a newcomer in this forum. I read Detective Conan for some years now (but I haven't read the whole run to be honest) and I am an avid fan of the movies (I've seen all of them, many of them I really like, some I was okay with, and only the last one I truly disliked). I'm also a very huge fan of Neon Genesis Evangelion, Tsukasa Hojo's works (City Hunter, Angel Heart, Cat's Eye, Family Compo), Clamp's X and Saint Seiya (especially the original manga, the excellent spin-off The Lost Canvas, and even Next Dimension which is both the prequel and sequel of the original Saint Seiya manga). I also like Dragon Ball, Galaxy Express 999, Higurashi No Naku Koro Ni, Umineko No Naku Koro Ni. Favorite manga: City Hunter. Favorite anime: Neon Genesis Evangelion (masterpiece). Favorite Detective Conan movie: Captured in Her Eyes. I also love The Magician of the End of the Century and The Raven Chaser. Other interests: Cinema (Lord of the Rings, Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Batman...) and video games (mainly adventure games and RPG such as The Legend of Zelda, Final Fantasy, Kingdom Hearts, Persona...). Also, to complete the introduction, I am french, I live in France and it's been quite some time I thought of joining an english-speaking forum to progress my english and to discover, I hope, a different point of view of the manga universe. (including myself ) Ok, so i'm tacticalwolf, i have a few diff nicknames given to me by others... shuu(shuuichi akai) calls me TTW so if you see that in forums you'll know it's me! Now, if you ever need help just ask me! now... i guess i shall introduce myself.... ok so i love to read, write, draw, and watch anime... hehe, especially DC! well, i guess you could call it a hobby... as in detective conan is a hobby in itself for me umm the languages i know are english and latin, i'm learning ASL at the moment in school, and i'm self teaching myself japanese (so far i've only learned all hiragana) anyways, it's great to meet you and i hope we can be bestiest of buddies... although, i must know... are you a shinran or conai/shinshi? I also like multiple series and we may have some in common (and I would like to discover some more). although, i must know... are you a shinran or conai/shinshi? Well, I don't really mind. I just like to see the interaction between the characters (I love all the ambiguous remarks of Ai for example), no matter what it will finally be (even if we all know what it will be at the end). But, independantly, Ai is my favorite DC character, like many others characters played by Megumi Hayashibara (Rei Ayanami, Ranma girl, Lina Inverse, Lime, Canal Vorfeed, young Master Genkai, aunt Haruka...). Kiel95 86 Report post Posted October 19, 2010 I must love you now since you love Ai! anyways, other manga i read are Skip Beat(ongoing-i'm in love ^-^), Beauty Pop (finished), Cage of Eden (great story, still ongoing), umm, Chocolate Cosmos (ongoing ... i think) umm and there are so many more, but those are the ones off the top of my head... cuz i usually try to start series that have already finished so i don't remember all of them (i've read over like 75 completely manga out there) anyways, if there's anything else you'd like to know bout me or the site don't hesitate to ask! i'll answer to the best of my abilities! ah yes, i'm an AiCon/ShinShi... just lettin you know if you didn't notice my signature ... Ai is my fav character, and i love all her remarks and such and how she acts! i can't necessarily hate Ran, but i'm not exactly in favor of her because she likes Shinichi... if she didn't like shinichi and he didn't like her i actually would be closer to neutral, although i still see her as slightly annoying... anyways, i don't really watch anime often unless it is detective conan since often scenes and such are cut out and it differs from the manga... Okay ! Thanks for all these precisions ! Well, Detective Conan is one of my favorite manga with City Hunter (it didn't seem to be popular in United States, but in France it's one of the most famous manga thanks to the legendary anime City Hunter/Nicky Larson). But I love many mangas/animes. I have no idea how much I have seen but there are very few I didn't like (Hokuto No Ken and Captain Tsubasa for example. Very famous mangas but I didn't like). And it seems only the manga release will continue. How many episodes and movies are available on DVD in USA ? I would like to know if the american released of Detective Conan is more advanced than the french one (maybe I'll buy them in import) and if the japanese audio track is available (with english subtitles of course).
