Heliotropic 139 Report post Posted December 17, 2015 I didnt like when they cut out that moment of gin and vodka crossing the street in the remastered version It ruined it for me Yea, the remaster had bad pacing too... It wasn't that great. I liked the New York Case remaster though, actually prefer that one.
DCUniverseAficionado 252 Report post Posted December 17, 2015 that moment of gin and vodka crossing the street An AO moment—Gosho never drew such a scene. I guess the remaster was trying to be more faithful to the manga, but it seems—in this case—the Anime team made a great addition to the story.

I kind of liked the Mystery Train, but I'm a bit torn on the whole thing, and I didn't like the conclusion at all. The Red Shirts case was really boring to me and is probably the worst of them all imo. As someone who didn't absolutely hate Scarlet... the anime certainly didn't make me like it. The animation quality in the early episodes was absolutely terrible, and there was a lot of recap. I liked Akai's signature scene though...

Well, the mystery train did good The ending was...ok-ish Really, why the weakest Sure, the t-shirts case thrown in was like that rooster in he head to head match... a downer But that aside, i think it did great Akai makes everything good Man o man, do i hate those recaps If you put them all together, you get on episode I cut in to like 5 something min
DCUniverseAficionado 252 Report post Posted December 18, 2015 Actually, that scene was in the manga. File 238 Page 12 Page 13 You're partially right, as it does show them walking into the street—a single panel shows them in the street—the anime, however, put a focus on Gin and Vodka just walking out in the middle of traffic, multiple cars having to stop, and Gin showing off that intimidation factor of his by shutting up that rightfully ticked off driver.
