Suggestions (Wiki wish list)

I know I'm not a chief editor (or something like it) for the Wiki, but I thought I'd start this thread where everyone can come in and suggest this or that for the wiki.

For example, I was wondering if there should be more character bios added and those that have little-to-no details be revised. I.E. start a page for Hagiwara (Matsuda's old partner), work on Andre Camel's bio page etc...

I changed your topic title because this entire section of the forum is for suggestions and comments on the wiki, and putting all suggestions into one topic would render this section of the board kinda pointless, IMO.

Also, Andre Camel's bio isn't complete. When someone has the free time, they will work on his page. It's not going to stay the way it is. There are people with more prominence than him that really need their pages to be worked on, and hence, their pages have a bigger priority. This is a wiki, so some things are bound to need to be worked on, and those things will be worked on as time goes by.

There isn't much to say on Hagiwara, is there? There's more on Matsuda but even there the info's slim.

The idea's great! I haven't seen any remarkable changes in this wiki since I started browsing (besides the 1000 article mark)

There's a wiki on Wikia.com about Detective Conan. If this wiki makes an "alliance" or something, I think it may benefit both.

The wiki on Wikia is in disrepair anyways (well, their English isn't prime), I think it needs some help.

You know, there are a bunch of articles like Calvados that have nothing. Arrack as well.

How about updating the featured article, song of the week, and the did you know section? It's been the same for about a month now I think. Maybe we can hold a weekly poll on what they should be or something like that?

Agreed. We didn't make it as much of a priority early on, because the wiki still had a lot of holes. Granted, there are still holes, but a LOT more work has been put into it in the span of a few months, so updates to the featured article and song of the week sections are definitely necessary. The thing with DYK's is that we'll need, in my opinion, to create an archive of good DYK's that we could use, because there are going to have to be repeats.

For DYKs...if what DYK means to me means the same thing to you...then:

Perhaps some of the well-developed pages like Conan Edogawa, Hattori Heiji may fit the bill.

I hope soon that episodes can be feature articles too.

I certainly didn't write them all. Of the ones I listed, had a major hand in Scar Akai, the theory trio, and Fusae Cambell. A few of the others I helped with a bit, and the rest were entirely the effort of other hard working DCwikians.

Neither do I. But there are a lot of eps that feature his inventions and traps. Plus he even has his own keyhole in the manga (I think).

Speaking of pictures...

This is just something that has been bothering be for a while. I noticed that a lot of the characters have older pictures. Gosho Aoyama has a new style now, so I was thinking maybe we could update the pictures for the characters. Not just the main pictures, but the small pictures that appear on the Character page as well. This was just a thought, I was planning on updating a few pictures myself. But I need some help, so if anyone else wants to update the pictures, be my guest!
