Horita (堀田 Horita ), commonly referred to as Detective Horita (堀田刑事 Horita-keiji ), is a character in the manga and anime franchise Detective Conan.
Background
Horita is a young detective (刑事 keiji ) from the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department, Division One Investigations. He loves Detective Sato and is thus jealous of Detective Takagi, much often to boycott their dates along with several other officers. He is always awed by Superintendent Matsumoto.
He meets Conan Edogawa in several cases and his great deduction impresses him only during Detective Takagi's kidnapping, but Conan justifies himself saying which, when he consulted Shinichi Kudo earlier on the phone, that's what he told him.[4]
During a preview case, along with other officers, he had to save Kogoro, Ran, and Conan by an explosive device wired to their rental car.[5]
He finds the special pasta made by Azusa Enomoto really delicious, so he has been coming to Café Poirot a lot recently.[6] Genta Kojima, along with a ridiculous deduction, has done just fun him.[3]
